1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Furniture

    1. I'm getting my first tinies and was confused by their "scale" description as being 1/8. What I gradually came to was that they were really 1/6 scale but youngsters (managed to find a photo of a pukifee with a Kelly (Barbie) doll). This is great because you can find much more affordable pieces on Etsy for Barbie than you can for BJDs. I bought the MOST ADORABLE TENT (not a tee-pee, an actual camping tent) that came with a matching pair of sleeping bags for my two tinies for $30 shipped in the US. I'm beyond wild about it because it'll be so versatile. I can drag it down to the sewing table, keep it on my dresser, put it on the couch next to me, just like my daughter's play tent, anywhere goes, and it will look adorable in outdoor photo shoots. Shopping out of conventional scale will also ensure it looks like it's a real tent with real sleeping bags but the occupants are kiddos! <3

    2. I love finding bjd furniture. There are some very good furniture on esty.

    3. I like salesman sample furnitures. They are truly vintage/antique if you are into those designs. Plant stands makes great tea table or chair for dolls too since they come in various hight and sizes. I know of some artists who make 1/4 and 1/3 furnitures too but they are too pricey for my reach. I like using "rug" placemat for doll size rug. (Small area rug if I had depth of room for my dolls.) Some pet beds make great bjd bed. But that's now what my dolls demand so it's on the bottom of my list. Wall cabinets makes great amoir for 1/3 dolls and there are so many styles to choose from. I really wanted a fireplace for my dolls and made one recently. It was super easy and fun. I posted a tutorial here; you can search my "rustic fireplace" for the tutorial. :)

    4. I made my own bed for my doll and I am in the process of making a chair! The furniture comes out a little awkward since I'm not a professional but I have fun doing it. :) If I come across furniture that I want but is too advanced for me to make, I might decide to buy it.

    5. Found a bunch of Boyd's Bear chairs, all kinds, for $5 each at a thrift store. The biggest works great as a chair for my 70cm guy, the rest are split about half and half between fitting my 1/3 girls and my 1/4 girls.

    6. I have the Volks Dollfie sized school desk and chair set. It is an unbelieveably useful set for photoshoots.

    7. Mandarake occasionally has some doll sized furniture from Volks that is no longer sold on their website and this is the best for me. Etsy is expensive but I have gotten a fancy chair and a vanity for my sets. Taobao shops have some sofas occasionally but I always miss the preorder/order:((

    8. I love doll furniture! Half of my collection are SD dolls, so it's pretty challenging  So far I managed to buy SD-sized table, two different chairs and a smaller bed second-hand (no idea of their origin); a couple of small cabinets for jewellery or whatever from furniture stores; a hanging chair for pets from a local pet shop (it can hold two 60 cm dolls!); a smaller set of drawers from a thrift store; bookshelves which were sold alongside mini books (books themselves ok for SDs, but the bookshelves only for minifee and smaller). The craziest thing is that I took half of these with me when I moved to another country :sweat Oh, and I crafted a SD-sized chair (not really suitable for sitting) and a simple fireplace (MSD scale, I suppose).

    9. I need to locate a really nice vintage couch in like, white, for my minifee Aletheia. Either that or I need to locate one and color it and put vines and whatnot on it. I’ve just been kind of peeking around in goodwills and occasionally at daiso’s to see if I can’t locate something good.
