I'm getting closer to receiving my Dang Dang. she has cleared US customs. Maybe today or tomorrow!!!

Milly 77 - I do love your sleeping face on Ante but "Energetic" Alessiina is so cute. Her eyes remind me of my 18 month old granddaughter. Looks like you couldn't stop her even if you wanted! Thanks for the extra pics you sent. They were wonderful.

 

I now know for sure that she will be home tomorrow. I called the UPS with my housenumber in desperation, but they were very nice and helpful. Not sure how they lost my housenumber, but swa! She is coming!

DingDing arrived today and I was surprised- mainly because I hadn't been tracking her. I have to say- she is adorable and seems to be very well put together. She was wrapped very well on the inside and the box was protected outside by extra bubble wrap.

The free face up they gave her was cute- the eyebrows seem to be a little bigger than the ones I've seen so far but maybe I haven't seen many because the bangs on wigs are hiding them.

I took the head plate off and was shocked to see so much putty covering the eye wells especially since her eye slits are not that big to begin with. Her magnets were strong!

All in all she's adorable but in person, she's not quite right for me.

 

Sorry that she is not right for you Kadepie. I guess it is hard sometimes buying dolls without actually getting to see them first in 'real life'.

My adorable Ding Ding arrived today. I already had a name picked out for her, Mai Ling, but when she arrived all I could hear was "joy". I tried to ignore the voice and kept called her Mai but eventually she won and Joy it is!

 

My DingDing is home too!

I'm glad to report that she can fit into Bratz clothes. At least, she fits into the jungle outfit... She thought it was an good choice to explore the house.

That Ku is indeed as miserable as the smilies are delighted! All of them are so so cute! Congrats for new arrivals, PrincessStarburst and Sandraugiga!

I got some mohair today and have already made new wig for Alessiina, and she´ll also get new eyes in thursday maybe, so then she´ll look somewhat different... We´ll see then.

 

DangDang arrived safely. Upon opening and looking at her carefully I noticed she came with eyelashes. Her left eyelash was not where it should be. It was hanging out over the eye. Actually I'm glad because it make me jump right in and fix it (an easy fix). She arrived with nice blue eyes. Her neck seems a bit on the wobbly side but she does hold a pose without flopping around. (Please note this is my first BJD so I really have nothing to compare her with). I just placed the hair on her head for her picture. I plan to make a proper wig later today. About the only thing I think I would like to change/fix is her lip coloring. It is a bit too light. She looks like she doesn't have a top lip. As soon as I figure out what to use I would like to give her a touch of color. Anybody have any suggestions about what I could use?

I am very pleased with this adorable doll. I am glad that I ordered her. Only problem, I will probably have to have some more. Everybody needs a friend!

Picture is WAY too big. Someone may need to give me some tips.

 

Denhamgal your pic is great! Looks like DangDang is saying "And it was THIS big!" Or maybe she's describing how loooong she was locked in that box for her trip from Hong Kong...

I got my DingDing today, too -- and an extra body for my Fairyland multihead. The Doll_Leaves NS resin is just about a perfect match for my WH head... you can see that her unblushed headcap is paler than the body, but with her faceup it's just about indistinguishable from the front. So now I have 16cm "fraternal triplets" -- Bibi (Dingding), Maura (FL Ante multihead on the Doll_Leaves body), and Shauna (FL Cupid multihead on an FL body) who can share clothes, but probably not wigs. At least Bibi has a pale-indigo PKF wig all for her own, it's a little bit big but it'll do for now.

Now I'm going to have to figure out how to set up a Photobucket account, so I can post pics here...

My dear Joy is such a delight to have around. Nobody can be sad when she is around. She laughs at everything! Her dolly sister, Callie, found a frog today and she is hoping that after a few kisses he will turn in to Prince Harry (She has a major crush on him) Joy thinks it is the funniest thing she has ever seen...........

 

I don't know why, but when I put a Tinybear wig on, my (not yet) unnamed Dingding just came together. She just looks sooooo happy.

Still the wig is not a good fit, (It will not stay on for a long time) so I think I will have to order a new and improved version.

 

How wonderful to pop in here and see all the new arrivals. They are all so cute. I love all the wigs and outfits. I can't walk past my DingDing without smiling!
Kadepie, I am sorry she is not not for you. It is really hard ordering dolls without seeing them IRL.

 

Finally joining this topic; I have DingDing and DangDang both waiting for me at home when I leave work in a couple of hours..! I am thrilled by the customer service so far, and exited with all the brilliant girlies already at home with their owners. Hoping to be able to take a few pics later tonight, have to go to a summer party arranged by my youngest son's class first...

I saw Denhamgal's Dangdang IRL and she is even cuter in person. I'm thinking I will have to order one for myself. My poor Dingding has been languishing in her box for the last week while I was broiling on the beach. But I'm back and anxious to start working on her eyes and wigs. Still no name, I'll have to work on that too.

 

wee HS is going to be having a couple of The tinies instock, I dont know which ones though o3o;;; but yay I get to see them ( to check and make sure everyone is safe )

They're here! And they're awesome! Like tinybear says; the resin has a nice feel and weight to it. Their faceups are so cute, and the total impression is very solid.



I've not taken many pics yet; I am thinking of giving DangDang (no name just yet) new eyes, and definitely adjust the way the current ones are set until then, I also didn't have many wigs around that fit - these Monique Bebe wigs did fit size wise, but I am not convinced about the look. Have gathered a heap of Sugarmag, Re-Ment fashion, Bratz, Barbie, IxTEE etc. clothing items in order to find what fits them the best. They can absolutely wear outfits meant for Lati Yellow!
