1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll Leaves 16cm BB's Discussion

Apr 26, 2010

    1. LOL, Carolyn_nizi, did you spell that with a U, by chance? *giggles*

I say get the current ones while you can. I've had a number of 16cm tinies, and these are not bad at all when it comes to posing. A bit "swively" joints, perhaps, but nothing that a treatment with the hot glue gun won't fix. Their price makes them such an awesome value - look at the Brownies and what happened to them after Felix was dropped, they went from $68-$80 to the current $254 for a fullset. Not that I suspect Doll Leaves will make a similar price rise, but the words better quality ring my alarm bell, especially when there's really nothing wrong with the current dolls. And what if those cute face molds are discontinued as well?

    2. How's their balance. I'm taking advantage of the current event and wondering how well Jax will balance on those tiny little feet of his but there don't seem to be any other similar sculpts to compare him to from Doll Leaves. Do their regular 16cm dolls have relatively small feet, and if so how's their balance? I don't want to wait til someone else gets a Jax to find out how he poses. Although I'm gonna have to order my doll on layaway so I guess someone will probably have pics up well before my dolls actually arrive. n.n'

Anyone else taking part in this event? I usually don't like animal bjds but Jax is cute. Can't wait to see him in person (in about 4 months). company pics never seem to do these dolls justice.

    3. My Doll Leaves doll's stand straight from the box. They could do with their strings tightened and some sueding but they're pretty good - I've got 8 of them (6 from the Xmas special). I've just ordered Acorn and some extras to get Jax (I just got a Spiritdoll rabbit so he needed a friend) so I should be able to tell you in a month or so about his posing

    4. Oh and their feet are relatively small but it doesn't seem to bother them.

    5. Haha I might be getting mine around the same time. I got a lot of unexpected work this month and I'll be able to make my final payment on June 3rd, so my order'll probably be shipped out no later than the following Monday (depending on how soon they can get the shipping invoice to me and then if it's Saturday they might not be able to ship him til Monday).

Still looking forward to see some more pics, though. I've only seen 2 so far, and both were before their owners did their face-ups. I know I'm spamming the heck out of my Jax when he gets home. He's so adorable and I can't be the only one stalking the box opening galleries trying to find pics of him.

    6. theyre usually pretty well balanced and have just the right tension on the stringing so that you can do some adorable poses

    7. :?I heard somewhere that the 16 cm line was being discontinued? I thought it was just an upgrade of the body, but now there's no 16 cm size on the Doll Leaves website:( Their bodies were great to go with a number of the lovely 16 cm-doll heads that have been turning up recently, but now there are no 16 cm bodies to be found.

    8. Yeah Doll Leaves posted on their site a long while ago that the 16s were being discontinued. Their little bodies were super cute too

    9. I think Junky Spot has some in stock. Not 100% sure about it.

I wonder why they discontinued them. Is it because they are not as popular as the 20cm line of their 70cm dolls?

    10. Heartstring Serenade has a couple instock as well but not many.

70cm? XD you mean 60 :) and they removed all of the 16s Zae, Rialia, and a couple SDs are being discontinued too. It's so they can focus on new productions

    11. I hope they make more smaller dolls in the future. :)

    12. I hope they do too!

and because I am able to... Some spam of Doll Leaves' Jiajia <3...

D: I'm so sad they got discontinued.. I really liked them!
Meet Ali :D (Aahh-lee rather than 'Alley' )

    13. Sad news! I love my Ding Ding - and I thought this size was just adorable!

    14. Yeah it really is! I am hoping there will be a new line of BJDs in this size from them sometime in the future <3

    15. Aw! I think Jia is my favorite one. She can be either yawning or signing <3

    16. x3 Usually I see Ali going " Aahh! o-o you spotted me! "

    17. or the "Oh noes!" expression. Either one has a cute expression that you can not resist. Anyone notice DS new wigs that are modeled on dolls I haven't seen before..

    18. Those are Milk and Cherry believe it or not!

    19. Are they! They don't look like them (maybe I am not use to them with hair?)

    20. Different Faceup style on them too though~
