Doll Leaves Mini [45 cm] Discussion part 3

@Milenn Oh for sure! I'm actually considering getting that new body.. Don't know what head I would put on it though. I think I would do what I did when I had a doll leaves body still and get a pair of dollzone hands for it.

 

@itzreeseybetch Ooh did you verify already if Dollzone hands would work with DL body? I have both here at home but still need to actually swap hands (too scared lol) to see if it would look good. I just measured the diameter of Dollzone MSD hands - they're in the ballpark of 1.3cm - so pretty much like DL (boy) which means that should technically work. Just feel my DZ MSD hands might look a little too fragile on the rather sturdy DL boy xD ...

 

@itzreeseybetch I think it's a pretty good improvement, but I agree that the hands and chest still need work. At least they are more dainty and less blocky.

I'm really thinking about getting Nina, or Ida again on the new body. I used to have one of their sculpts but it was the old body that ultimately made me sell her.

I was really curious to see them side by side so I tried my best to match the poses.
Dollzone is definitely more dainty and the hips are more pronounced, but they look fairly similar! I do like Dollzone's chest sculpt a lot more though. The good thing is Doll Leaves is a cheaper option for a pretty body.

 

Its a major improvement. I love the shape of the new body and I cant wait to see the new boy body. i'm sure one has to be coming. Lets get something with a little muscle definition maybe?

Yes I can confirm 100% that they fit the old doll leaves body because that's what I used for Lydia's DS body. The resinmatch wasn't great tho but I've never been a stickler for that.

Amara is home!!

She has a ginger wig coming as Hedy is also red haired at the mo. I'll see if it works.

Hedy is the pretty but shy one, even though she wears some sparkly things. Amara is more of a tomboy and very protective of her older sis. Couldn't get a ginger wig for Amara so a pretty blonde instead.

@Angelfey Thanks! I could say I wanted someone blond and blue-eyed in my collection, since it appears to be a rare type for me. But wouldn't be exactly true. :3 Simply based the colors on her face-up. The wig came as a perfect match to her eyebrows, which sure was a surprise to me. ;D And she arrived with blue eyes, so that stayed as well... just changed to glass ones. So far the image seems to be complete, just need to create the right wardrobe for the OC.

 

Hey does anyone have a Jeremy at home? I'm thinking about putting one on a girls body but I'm a little conflicted. The nose looks at lot bigger in the blank head pictures than it does on the fullset ones... its kind of bothering me

Has anyone gotten the new body yet? I'm not sure when it was released, so folks may still be waiting. I'd love to know how the old heads look on the new body - mostly if the neck is the same width/height.

Oh! And I forgot: does anyone know if Doll Leaves usually does a Summer event? I want to order the new body/ and maybe a Jeremy, but thought I'd wait for the next event period.

 

Question---do my fellow Blue owners use 7-8" wigs? My girl currently wears a 6-7" but it's very, very tight and I'm wondering if a 7-8" would fit her head better. Any and all help would be appreciated.

I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised.

 

My blue wears a 7-8 but she's wearing a 6-7 right now that I thought was too cute on her so I snipped the elastic to make it fit
