I saw a customer photo of Yoko on FB and was shoked by how beautiful she was. I never even paid attention to her on the Doll Leaves website because she looks very different in their photos. I decided to get one because I was considering getting Betty anyway and I saw their order process was quite complicated.
They had a bunch of dealers listed and with Angelesque closing down I visited DDE. And.....they had one in stock!!!!!! The exact one I was planning to order! She's already on her way to me!!! I'm freaking out!!!!

Thank you! I feel kinda bad for only getting her after seeing this person's photo though. Like a copycat!

 

@Viridiansummer - Don't feel bad. Seeing other people's photos are a good way to find out more information about bjds and specific sculpts. Especialy since bjds are customiseable, sometimes company photos are not a good way to see the full potential of a sculpt.

I agree with Xyuemoto, how else are you supposed to even really know about a sculpt or doll or anything else? This hobby survives because of owner photos. Official company information only goes so far, and you're way more likely to see something you like on social media. Just have to hope the OP mentions the sculpt haha--looking at you, IG.

 

@Toxigenesis - I am at-ing you since you said you wanted to see the hybrid. Here is Runeleaf on the dream valley body. The head sits on top of the neck. The neck is too long as expected so eventually I will dremel out the head neck hole a bit so it actually fits. But right now it doesn't bother me too much.

@xyuemoto Runeleaf looks really nice on that body! I haven't decided if I'm going to hybrid Zhion yet, but that's a good choice.

In other news, my blank Lan boy has finally arrived and shipped from DDE! Yay! Gotta plan his face soon!

Ugh. Im literally in love with all of their MSD sculpts. So pretty. Must get myself one (or more) one day.

Lan looks very nice on the boy body! I'm also liking the Ver II body quite a bit. Now I've got to send him out to have his pretty face all made up.

At some point this year I fully intend to order a couple of dolls from DL. I think i'll wait till their next event though. Too much stuff in jan/feb I need to save for heh.

How does the type 2 body pose?

 

Pretty well! He nearly kicked me a couple of times, but his joints are quite nice and flexible. Great arm posing.

Is that a My Life As fuzzy pillow in the background? I've always wondered how those would do with the dolls, but I'm too nervous to bring one to Walmart to check.

 

Yes it is, haha. I would never bring a bjd to the store. I just got it and would have returned it if I didn't like how it looked. I also tried the furry saucer chairs but I didn't like how they sat in them and the frame was too thick for my liking.
