It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Doll Leaves Mini [45 cm] Discussion part 3

Dec 22, 2014

1. I just received my Ida Elf Maid! We had a bumpy start, her eyes were way too big and made her look like an alien. But with a change of eyes, a wig and clothing, we're doing pretty well. She told me her name is Larkspur, which is the flower for July. I'll see if I can get a photo of her this weekend. :)

2. Poking my head in to say "hi"! I've lurked around for a bit and have been totally mesmerized by everyone's dolls here, they're all so lovely. I finally put in an order for a Doll Leaves Kira for the summer event! I can't wait for him to arrive!

3. Congrats all who ordered and received their dollies :D they are all absolutely gorgeous *u*

4. I can't wait to see her!

5. Here's a picture of my DL Gabriel holding her own with my two DiM Laia's. Gabriel is on the left. I just love her! I have her on a Dollzone B45-12 body. The resin match is very good. I have a Kira too but he's getting a face up. I really love elves too!

6. Your Gabriel is lovely! Is that the company faceup? Please spam some pics of your Kira when he's ready, I'd love to see more owner pics.

7. Thank you! She doesn't have the default face up. It's about my tenth try at giving her one. I'm just beginning to try face ups and have been working on hers since I got her in November! Kira is almost done but it's been too humid to work on face ups for a few weeks now. He needs a cool elf outfit too.
yes, please! More owner photos!

8. Pony: Thank you for sharing. It is always fun to see dolls from different makers together.

I have finaly finished the faceup and blush on Teofil. This is how he turned out:

11. Thank you:aheartbea! I ordered Ida during the event and got the event doll Bella:dance

12. gracebjd:
I only have experience with the boy body, but the construction seems to be very similar to the girl body. I am very happy with how it poses. Most of the joints are well balanced and have a good range of motion without snapping into position.

I have done a light suedeing with hot glue in his neck, and I filed the groove in one of his thigh parts a little bit sharper, so he holds poses with his legs pulled up a little better, but that was minor fixes and completely optional. He posed just fine without the work done, but now he is even better.

Congratulations on ordering and good luck with your new girls!

13. Oh thank goodness I had been wondering how well they posed but wasn't sure, I feel a lot more confident in their posing abilities now. What size clothing would you say fits them the best? Thank you they should be here soon I can't wait to post pictures of them!:dance

14. Hi Gracebjd, I think you made a good choice by choosing Doll Leaves for your first bjd. Ida is such a lovely sculpt! And DLs has some of the prettiest default face ups ever. I have a boy MSD, Kira, and had a girl MSD body for my Gabriel. I think they both pose beautifully and especially so with the girl's body. I just wish the boy was taller than the girl.

Lillith, I love the face up and blushing that you gave Teofil. It's very natural. Plus his pants are very nice as well. :)

15. Pony: Thank you! I am very happy to have him. He is so much fun to play with and make things for.
The pants are dyed using onion peels. I am not an experienced dyer, so I just improvised and I am surprised at how strong the color ended up being.
I am planning some tie dyed t-shirts as well, sometime in the near future. But i will probably use regular dyes for them. I want rainbow colors! :)

16. Your boy is very cute Lillith. You did a great job with his face up and blushing <3
I very nearly convinced myself to sell my Kira as I have sold all my other msds and tend to focus on my 65+cm guys. I was looking at him today and I thought I would really miss him if he went even if I don't do as much with him as my big guys. I am really glad now that I changed my mind.

Edit: Took him outside today in the spring sun for some pictures and have fallen for him all over again :)

17. Kavarr: He looks so relaxed and alive in that tree. It is a great picture. And those eyes are really striking.

18. Kavarr, I love your Kira! I'm glad you decided to keep him. As Lillith said, his eyes are striking. What size are they? I'm trying to be patient as I wait for my boy. I'm distracting myself by looking for clothes and working on his backstory.

19. Wow, Lillith, I would never have thought to use onion peels! Do you use the papery outer layer? I think the effects are great.

Kavarr, your Kira wears his very cool clothes well!

20. Pony: Yes, just the dry outer layers.
