1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Doll Leaves Mini [45 cm] Discussion part 3

Dec 22, 2014

    1. They are both beautiful dolls. The decision must be your own, of course, but here are my thoughts.
Maya may be the more versatile of the two, it has a neutral expression and can be styled in a lot of different ways.
Kira is a bit more stylized and have the elf ears. But even if that limits what you can do with the sculpt, at the same time it provides its own possibilities and a bit of extra character.
In the end it is up to you and what look you are going for. I think they both have great potential.

I actually chose between Wish and Maya when I bought my Wish. What made me decide on Whish was his gentler face and his expression, like he is deep in thought. But I also liked the more alert face of Maya and I wasn’t too keen on the elf ears on Whish, so it was a tough choice. In the end I went with Whish and modded his ears and I couldn’t be happier with him.

Try to look at as many owner pictures as possible, so that you can see what other people have done with the sculpts you are interested in. It always helps to see the doll in a new light and can give some great inspiration.

    2. Hello everyone!

I'm really excited to post here and gush over everyone's beautiful dolls! I noticed Doll Leaves a few months ago and was instantly swept up by their 1/6 Connie sculpt. It didn't take me long to notice just how gorgeous the rest of their dolls are too! Nothing's set in place yet, but after the new year, if funds allow, I'm hoping to spring on their Holiday sale! I have my eye on ordering Amara, Hedy and Pepper :) I'll be ordering Pepper as a boy and then just the heads of Hedy and Amara to hybrid them later. If I can, I REALLY want the default face-up for both Pepper and Hedy, but if not both I think I'll at least still try to get Pepper's since hers is just so beautiful!

I've only gotten a couple pages back and already see some super pretty Amara's! Anyone have Pepper or Hedy too? Would love to see them :D

    3. So many Doll Leaves' cuties! I really love most of their sculpts. I finally bought myself an Amara with their free face up event around july i think. Tbh, i wasn't completely sold by the promo shots, but one she was home...She looks way prettier irl, not to mention her default face up is amazing. After having her home for a while and seeing the promo shots again i wasnt even sure she was the same doll, she's just much more beautiful irl and i'm really happy i bought her <3

    4. I'm absolutely in love with the new 1/4 girl Hedy. Those little teeth are sooooooooo precious! <3 <3 <3

    5. Luts wigs are beautiful but their sizing is on the larger size. You can put a couple of silicon wig caps on and that may help it stay in place better.

I say go for the one you love the most. Think what kind of character you want as that can influence your choice. I like both Maya and Kira. I only have one though and he is a suntanned Kira. I like his slightly hooded eyes and pointed ears.

    6. That little scene with the tie dying is so cute, I can't stand it!

    7. @opal: She looks super pretty. And that wig looks so good. Neat sausage curls are a rarity.

      @orphansparrow: Thank you!

    8. I saw that somebody else has already asked about hands for the MSD girl body, but I was wondering if anybody knew much about the resin match for Dikadoll? Somebody else here already has a lovely doll with the Dika hands, but they're WS and I'm looking to get some of their hands for my NS girl! :) I just have no clue if their yellow or pink resin would match better.

There are so many beautiful dolls in this thread, I'm really in awe! <3

    9. Hi there!

I own a Doll Leaves Blue (NS) and Dikadoll AAAAA (NS-P), both with resin batches from 2013. In my experience, the Doll Leaves NS is peachier than Dikadoll's, which is lighter and pinker. I don't know how Dikadoll's NS-Y compares, though, and newer batches may offer a closer match.

I hope this helps, at least a little. :daisy

    10. That is really helpful, thank you! :3nodding:

    11. Thanks so much! Sorry for the late response; I've been away for a bit :) I actually ordered a different doll, but I very much appreciate the input!

(Woah, sorry the image is so huge, I didn't realize it was that big)

I fell in love with the doll leaves Kira, mostly because of his moody face and pointed ears, and he is my very first doll! His name is Alkeos, and here he's fiddling with a potions bottle.

    13. @Coffee-Bat: Congratualtions on your first doll! I like the look you have given him.

    14. @Lillith Ah, thank you so much!! He needs a bit of work, but I'm excited to have him be complete!

    15. Beautiful boy! I especially love his nails. :)

    16. @PeppermintPocky , thank you ! ; u; he is definitely due for some new photos though, this one is a couple months old already.

    17. *pokes in* I'm really curious about Hedy, I'm looking to buy a 1/4 girl and I just can't stop staring at her factory photos. I just love her slightly opened mouth! She's got such an interesting sculpt.

    18. Hedy is absolutely beautiful, and I think she would make a great doll! All of the companies sculpts are so totally distinct. Not to mention that the 1/4 girl body is a great poser! :)

    19. :XD: So I caved and ordered the Hedy in stock on DDE (with the factory faceup though I might redo it, I was planning to do her faceup myself and buy her blank but...she was in stock sooo...I lack a decent amount of self control...)
I'll take some pictures and link her box opening here too once she arrives!!
