Doll-Love (also known as DollLove) Mini Discussion Thread

But at Think Pink they still have the tan option for the Dolllove dolls. Think Pink have some companies on the list that they offer tan for. While other companies like winddolls don`t offer tan on many of the dolls that Think Pink do.

Sometimes you just have to look through different companies that sell the doll that you want to see if they have the tan option available or not. So I guess it is different depending on where you buy from.


Calabri I fell for Arefa and also Yueyong because of they`re eyes. I realized a while ago that all of my dolls have open or wide open eyes. That made me really miss have some dolls with more narrow eyes. I like dolls that look a little bit odd and funny. I usually prefer that over dolls that look like super models. Odd looking dolls have so much life. And I love to make them into something special.

For awhile, the tan option was gone from Mint on Card's site and when I emailed they said it was discontinued at that point.

Now that I went back to just browse around, though, I think I see tan is listed again. So maybe it's something they offer but not year-round. (I think Dollzone also only offers tans part of the year)

 

I checked out mint on cards site. And I see they offer the tan option for DZ and B&G now. But not for Dolllove though. If they still don`t offer tan on Dolllove dolls when my time to order Arefa come. I might just order him from Think Pink instead.

 

Oh weird, I *swear* it was there a few days ago.... but maybe I'm getting confused because I've looked at a lot of dolls recently.

 

Well it does not matter. I can`t order him for a while anyway.

 

Oh, I didn't check Think Pink for the tan option...

The doll listings from liwenjie0310 on eBay still has the tan option for an extra $20. I haven't inquired about it though. I really like the color, I did consider getting my Evol in tan before I settled on pink.

I was going to get my Arefa in tan, but I didn't have enough money and wanted him asap :P but now I'll just have to get another one xD

I wasn't necessarily going to make them twins... it's actually possible to make two dolls of the same sculpt look different... but I am rather obsessed with twins, and I do really love the idea of twins in different colours.

I think his name will be Ashlyn (that can be a boys name right?...) so they both end with Lyn :3

Doll Love tan is still discontinued (I believe was due to there were quite a few complaint about sanding marks). Anyone selling DL tan doll are either selling in-stock doll, or a "used" doll, or potentially a knock-off.

 

What a silly thing to complain about. It's pretty hard to avoid I'd imagine, especially if people would complain if they left the seams on.
It looks like I'll have to get my tan Arefa sooner rather than later...

 

Ashlyn would be cute. Ashlyn and Kaylyn fits together.

Yeah maybe it is a bit silly. But we don`t know how bad (or not) the doll look after sanding.

Well but if you get a tan Arefa, you must spam him a lot I am very curious about how the tan look on owner pictures. I probably will order my pink skin Baby Love Chi first like I originally planned. I really miss having a YO sized doll. I have not had a real YO size for a long time.

There is this doll I have seen many times on DOA. His name is Muse And he is an Ail Elijah. I have admired this doll for a long time.

And just now it made me think maybe I should get my Arefa in normal skin or white skin. And have a dark and goth kind of Arefa instead. I just imagined a white skin Arefa with goth face-up. And black shoulder long hair with bangs. The image of a dark and goth Arefa have really made me thinking.

And if I order him from wind dolls, I can order him with a custom face-up. I have 2 face-ups in mind. A dark and goth or soft pink albino face-up. Makes me want to order Arefa first instead again

 

White, I beliebe. I'm buying him from the market, and really wasn't too picky with the color, so long as it was a Kaja :3

Are those two you're talking about meant to complement/contrast each other?

 

Oh great. I need to see some white skin spam. I have not decided yet if I should go for white skin or normal pink. Originally I was going to order Arefa in tan. I really love tanned dolls. But I feel like I need to know more about Dolllove`s tan before I dare order something in that color.

Well, I would have loved to have a doll kind of similar to Muse. But without copying Muse`s face-up. I always loved dark and mysterious in bjds

I definitely will spam him alot, if I manage it. But it seems pretty unlikely I'll get him, despite how I don't know anyone other than you with an Arefa on their wishlist (at all)
I really like the idea of a gothic Arefa, btw :3
