Yikes Calabri! I believe I was in the same boat you were a while back... I bought a doll from a now banned seller that has been selling questionable dolls on Ebay... I believe that username is the name that the seller I purchased my god-enjoy from changed their name to that because of all the scrutiny... there should be a list of banned sellers somewhere around here that can confirm that... Also if you email Doll Love as I did with questions, and pictures about weather your doll is legit or not... they can confirm if it is or not... They confirmed mine was legit and so.. THAT was a huge relief... a lot of times with buying on e-bay it's safest to look up on the original doll maker's website to see if the seller is in fact a certified seller of those dolls... (Like Jeeryama ^.^ who sold me my Or-doll/ Nyx doll Eris-B head ) By taking the time to do that, it really saves all the headaches!!

 

I ordered direct from DL and the communication was good and prompt. I ordered a God-Enjoy head on a boy body, BTW. This was about 2 years ago so take that as you will. I second the motion of checking out the seller on ebay. If you were determined to go through a dealer, I'd go with MoC or jeeryama as both are known for being legit and very good/reliable to deal with (I've dealt with both and have nothing but good stuff to say about them).

I have been looking at this thread for a while and your pretty photos of Doll-Love dolls. Those pictures have helped me a lot to select Doll-Love doll as my first doll. I got my first Bjd doll in May this year, msd size May from Doll-Love. It took me a month to receive her from Ebay shop. She is really stunning, like in her stock photos. I even got brown eyes with her as I wished for and brown wig.

She can stand well on her own straight out of the box. I just have to set her in balanced standing position. I don´t need to restring her yet. I´m very satisfied with her.

My first doll was Doll Love Yasa~ I've always loved Doll Love since then, and really want more of their sculpts~ Love seeing everyone's photos too~~~

 

I'd obviously liked the sculpt when I first saw it, but I am continuously amazed at how serene and sweet Dak (God-Enjoy head) looks. That is fantastic to me as his character is often like that. He's also hard to take a bad picture of, which is amazing compared to some of my camera shy/grumpy-pants dolls.

 

I ordered a YoSD sized DL BJD at dollonline2009 on ebay. I wasn't sure if the shop is legit and because I'm new to all this doll-stuff a friend of mine wrote a mail to DL, asking if the ebay seller is legit. This was almost a month ago, still no answer of DL.

In the end, I just ordered the doll and am now really curious how she will turn out^^

 

He's so dark skinned o: I didn't know DL did a resin that dark... or did you mod him? He looks really cool~ I love the God-Enjoy sculpt. Such a sweet expression.

I've ordered from them before and they're perfectly legit, no need to worry ^^~ I find it better ordering from eBay dealers because there's better communication.

 

They don't. Dak was custom dyed blackest of black by a modder here on DoA. He turned out beautifully. And the sculpt is so strong, he doesn't actually have a face up. The only thing I added was wickedly long eyelashes with glitter on them.

 

This is a question for those of you who own Doll Love Evol, my friend recently ordered hers and I was wondering what size of eyes would be best suited for the doll? I've seen some lovely Evols here but I just don't know what sizes of eyes they have so it would be very much appreciated if someone could make a recommendation for me, even some photo comparing? I don't want to ask for too much but whatever helps, thank you so much! It would really help her decide what size to get because she seems to be going on an eye buying spree and I don't want her to get the wrong sizes, haha. ^^

 

I recommend 14mm. My Evol came with 16mm eyes and I feel they were way too big. You can check out my box opening photos which shows her initially with the 16mm, and then replaced with the 14mm. I personally think it makes a big difference!

 

Ohh, wow! Thank you so much, this was a big help! My goodness, she certainly is lovely, isn't she? I'm almost tempted to get one myself but I have loyalties to other dolls on my wishlist, hehe. I agree, the 14mm eyes look much better than the 16mm. It's good to know now, because my friend was stacking her online cart with 16mm eyes and I know those tend to be big so I wanted to make sure before she bought a bunch of eyes she'd regret buying because they were too big. I'll show her your doll and see what she decides. Funny enough, another friend of mine has that exact same wig that my Evol buying friend might get as well, seems like a popular color!

 

Since I haven't seen any Doll Love YouYous on here yet and I see some people are anxious to see the doll, I did a split order with a friend and her YouYou is being shipped along with my doll, so if anyone's interested, I could definitely take some shots and post them here. c: I would have been able to see her today but unfortunately, I wasn't home to receive the box so they'll be trying again tomorrow. I'm really excited to see her myself! If I get some good lighting, I might be able to get some shots of my friend's Youyou with her default makeup and wig. Crossing my fingers for some nice sun tomorrow!

Edit: Unfortunately the delivery man didn't deliver the dolls today and I come home late tomorrow, so I'll try to have photos up by at least Friday. Sorry about that, everyone.

 

She is so cute *A* I was wanting to get Cecilia with Evol's face-up and now I see how lovely it is. This makes me feel like Evol's company photos don't do her justice o:

 

Message for abdelghany: Your Alice is so beautiful, I love her face! She's definitely on my wish list, do you mind me asking what faceup this is, is this one of her default faceups? I'm really anxious to get her but I've seen her with about 2 or 3 different default faceups and I like the one in her promo pictures where she is wearing mostly black. Sorry for the questions everyone...! I just love the way your girl looks, her outfit is awesome!

To whatadollboutique: Your Elsa is absolutely amazing, I am in love with that faceup she has! I think a friend of mine has that dress too, haha. Did you add those sparkles yourself or did she arrive like that? I don't remember seeing sparkles or not, either way she is just a stunning girl. You are so lucky to have a beautiful doll like that!

 

Hi there I'm a fan of Doll Love. My first BJD was God-Enjoy, which I got her In May of 2011, She's still my favorite out of 5 other dolls. I also have Doll Love Alina, which she is very sweet. I named my God-Enjoy- Dusk and my Alina- Dawn...of course I have a story behind all of that and their names. :P
