Doll Plans 2017!

2017 plans will sound almost exactly like 2016 plans, which of course got trampled...

No more whole dolls OR floating heads. Seriously. I need to get bodies. So many bodies. All the bodies. I have an AprilStory body incoming, and I have no desire or need for the bonus event head, which means I will probably find her irresistibly precious and a complete personality and story for her the minute I lay eyes on her. @_@

I need to redo some face-ups, restring some dolls, make some wigs, do a ton of sewing, and get some eyes and wigs to motivate me into getting bodies.

Aside from the incoming AprilStory body which is probably going to my AkagiDoll Ban head, my priorities for the bodies are for my Leeke Koji (Sebastian), my DiM Rain (Ayumu), my Dollmore Chami (Zoe), and then we'll go from there. Probably Scrambles (Pipos Raoh), because he's funny and I love him.

 

I wanna see if this hits off. I would love to know what other angels have planned for the year ahead with their dolls and the hobby itself...

Mine is to wait for my first two dolls to arrive and then to see if they fit the character that I have set aside for them. Which at the same time will allow me to continue writing, using them to give me some passion! I then want to mess around with face ups as I have a few ideas tucked away. I have a friend who is amazing at creating clothes for dolls so I will not only 'gift' her some money, but she is willing to teach me. Lets hope I get the hang on it before I go mad and give up.

My dolls will be:
DollZone Marlin
&
April Story Eugene

Both will go towards a horror/thriller style and hopefully their scars/markings will look professional and not tacky.

 

Plans... I do have an idea of the dolls I want next, but I will not be totally sure until I get my little 27 and 30 cm dolls from MYOU. I've never had the YOSD size before, so my choice will depend on how much I love them. I think I want a bigger doll as well, but I'll not be sure until I get them, I might find they are perfect!

So right now I think my only plan is to wait for the two I have on order!

I enjoy the wait, it allows my mind to settle and kick itself into gear. Also, is it a BIG part of this hobby! haha

 

So I'm mostly going to concentrate on bodies and clothes for everyone this year.

1. Get or make more clothes for Ebony.

2. Get Pax, my Migidoll Jina, an Akagidoll 66 cm body in white skin, and turn him into a frilly rainbow boy.

3. Get a 62 cm 5StarDoll body in tan for my Little Rebel Andre head.

3.5 Get a 5StarDoll Jadite in green skin in that same 5StarDoll order to save on shipping!

4. Get an airbrush to do nicer faceups!

5. Wigs for Pax, my Andre, my mnf Siean, and Daenerys.

6. Clothes for Charlotte and my mnf Siean.

Maybes:

1. Get the tan skin mnf Ante on moe line body with glamour bust I've been dreaming about.

2. Get a Switch boy.

3. Decide on a body for Daenerys (mnf maybe??) and get it.

4. Get a Cuartos Dolls dragon for Daenerys.

 

My main goal is to get my grail doll, but I have such a tight budget I don't know if it'll happen. Also give my dolls faceups! I have two floating heads and one full doll, and none of them have faceups. And find a place to put my doll so he can be out on display, right now he lives in his box.

 

My plans for 2017 are :
1. Get my incoming boys out of customs. In Germany its nearly impossible that they dont will go there first

2. Get/sew Clothes for my Dolls.

3. Get my boys some shoes.

4. Buy or make my dolls wigs.

5. Get a body for my floating head ( Soom Gluino)
I gues it will be difficult to get a soom idealian 72 body ......I am not sure if I can also buy an other body...?

Thats it for now and I think thats quite a lot.
You have to know first that I am realy new to the hobby thats why I dont have anything for my dolls when it comes to clothes, shoes, wigs and so on......
So I gues I have to work on that first before I get a new doll.

I have a few boys coming this week, I have an akagidoll72cm body coming tomorrow, a simply divine harlequin and thomas coming tuesday, Thomas for the Akagidoll body and Harlequin for the dollstown 18 body I have.
My little rebel Sarang should be coming in soon and I'd like to get him an IOS 70cm body.
In March, my LLT Neil should be coming and id really like to get him a Soom 75 idealian body. I am telling myself ill sell the soom head but we'll see xD I might love it too much.
Then if I buy anything besides those bodies this year, it will be a dollstown rian on a 15yrs male body and a dollstown remi on a 18yrs girl body for their black friday event at the end of the year.

So all in all, I really only want to buy two bodies and possibly to full dolls at the end of the year.

 

I think 2017 is going to be the year of environments over here. I've got some MSD-scale room boxes being made, and am making plans for some little "fairy houses" for some of the tinies... So:

1. Get the room boxes to look at least moderately presentable.

2. Finish at least two fairy house lanterns.

3. Finish at least two dolls (faceup, costume, wig)

Let's keep it small this year (I said optimistically)...

 

here's my annual "Things I want today and will not stick to" list:

1. Get Jubilee (April Story Rebecca) home, painted and put together in full. She has been ordered, her wig, eyes, glasses and clothes are here already.
2. Order Opaline (Blossom Doll Gine), get her home and complete her.
3. Go through ALL of my doll stuff and sell/trade anything I no longer use.
4. Sew a lot more and experiment with new techniques and patterns.
5. Learn to use my new camera and take better photos.
6. Maybe get some more pet and fantasy tinies.

 

In 2017 I want very much Oscar Ipplehouse and body for head Obsidius.

 

My plans for 2017:
- Learn to do face ups
- Get Amaia (AoD Fei) a decent face up one way or another - maybe send her off somewhere if plan 1 fails haha
- Do something with Amadeus (DZ Megi) - either give him bit more of a personality or sell him on
- Hopefully find the MNF Miyu her own permanent body ^^ And a name too would be good ~
- Get all dolls finished! Clothes, wigs, eyes etc done would be perfect!

 

In 2017 I really don't plan on getting many dolls. Maybe just two. I still kinda really would like a Doll Chateau Elsia. Mainly I'd like to concentrate on working on my new Pipos Roah boy hybrid's clothes. He's an Egyptian god. I think I might buy a new sewing machine to help me along with learning to sew better. I think the stress of my very cheap old machine eating my fabrics is too much for me.

I also oil paint and would like to make some oil paint portraits of my dolls. One of these days I'm going to take some new photos and do my dolly profiles on here too! I also want to keep up with my bjd yt channel. I really enjoy that community.

 

Oh man. I had no doll plans at all last year and ended up buying literally five complete dolls and two heads. My plans this year are:

- !!STOP BUYING SO FAST!!
- Er, get a body for the last remaining floating head and paint him
- ....er..... paint my incoming gift doll, thanks enabling boyfriend
- ...........I really want some more MSDs this year
- .....................and another SWITCH boy

 

I want to finish the face ups on all my sculpts!!! I'm tired of seeing headless dolls in my display. It's like I have Wednesday Adam's dolls. All I need are Mortisha's flowerless picky rose stems to complete the look.

And I've decided to make each sculpt I finish a new outfit designed just for them as a sort of reward for finishing their faceup. I'm working on my DZ Minas right now who actually looks a little bit like Wednesday Adams!

And as a last resort, I want to sell a number of dolls so I can concentrate on my favorites.

No new dolls! Except for the new bi-doll that's supposed to come out in the spring!

 

Buy an actual doll (possibly a soom imda - I constantly talked myself out of the 2016 releases that I liked) and face-up that floating head under my bed.

 

I want to get an Atelier Momoni Momoni in sand skin and a Lati yellow Noa. But first, I really need to get on selling some event heads and collectibles, and finish all my off-topic dolls. Also, one more Fairyland MiniFee Chloe would be nice... No! Bad girl! Stop think those thoughts!

EDIT: Maybe I'll wait for that tan Noa to manifest itself someday and make actual plans on getting one more Chloe this year instead :3
