Doll Plans 2017!

My main goal will be to try focusing on a single doll for the entire year. There's bound to be random purchases here or there but I'll try to limit my doll purchases.
I'm planning on turning a Dreaming Doll Kelly into a character that is pretty close to my heart.
It will involve commissioning many different artists and saving up for a custom corset but I mostly want to see how much progress I can make.
There's also local meetups that happen every month, I intend to keep going to those

 

My plan for 2017 is to get back into the hobby and finally maybe buy that doll I've wanted since 2009. -__- Time to save up!!

 

More than a plan, I have a new year resolution... stop buying floating heads and get them bodies :,D it's gonna prove difficult. Buuut my general plans are, get bodies for all the floating heads I have/have on the way, and get a Luts Bory. I was gonna get one for my birthday, but then I hit a major, year long dollshe shopping spree... so all my plans for my poor character have been put aside. (poor kid doesn't even have a name, I thought I'd decide on one once I have the doll). Then, but less important on the priority scale, would be to get a RS Tang aand a doll leaves maya, so then I'd have all the main characters from the story Alice and Vice are from. I'm lucky I have such inexpensive plans, lol, only one body out of all these dolls will cost more than 300$ - since I plan on getting a doll chateau A04 body for my dollshe bernard head (who's finally on the way here, almost cannot believe it) - so hopefully I'll be able to get everything.
Also, another resolution I have, is to learn to make hats and shoes, get better at wig making, and hopefully, to make at least one article of doll clothing a day. I know it will be impossible to do it every single day, butI can get close to it, at least!

 

Mine for this year is get the ones I committed to home asap and those that are already paid for hope not to much longer of a wait. I don't want to add anymore, just spend time enjoying the ones I have and get the stuff like wigs and such gone. No point in extras of wigs and eyes if everyone has their own. Lots of travel photos and at least a new Eddie story each month. This is going to be my year of doing things in hobby, not just spending money.

 

For me it's to finish shelling my story characters into doll form and resisting the urge to buy new dolls just because i like them.
Also to finally make my main character's shop diorama.. and write more. I actually have a lot of things i plan to get done.

 

To not buy anymore dolls and start getting them more clothes. I have a friend that loves to make clothing for them so i might try and handmake some things but working on tiny clothes is hard v.v
If i am going to buy a doll it will be by Amare dolls im desperately waiting for her new doll

 

My doll plan for 2017 is to finish my creature sculpt, make an instagram to document my process and show the world what I'm working on, and start sculpting my human sculpt.

 

I should be receiving my first doll Lili from Mirodoll at the end of the month or beginning of Feb. I am so excited. I also have a minifee Fairyland Chloe on layaway mid year. I am also thinking about trying my hand at making doll clothes this year.

 

I have two dolls on the way, a Dollshe Bermann and soon a Souldoll Paw, so my plans are mostly getting them all customized to my liking. Otherwise, I don't think I will buy anymore dolls this year since I inadvertently bought 4 last year, whoops. Instead, I'll be looking to buy some more clothes and things for my existing dolls. Perhaps some furniture. And maybe finally doing something with the Soom Chrom I have sitting in a box.

 

I know I've replied here already, but I have a new idea I'm working on hehe I probably won't be able to get the dolls for this project in 2017 (but I can dream, right? lol) but I am going to work on the concept art and try and narrow down some sculpt ideas. My grail doll (Asella Rhubarbe, preferable green skin) is going to be one of this group no matter how hard it will be to get her, but I have no clue for the rest yet.
I am Wiccan, so I want to create a 5 Elemental Goddess set for my altar (5th being Spirit, in case you weren't sure). All will be MSD size, so now just have to work on the sketches. I know this might take me years to complete, and I am sure other dolls will catch my eye before completing the set, but I am super excited for this personal project!

For 2017 I want to elarge my crew with new bjds (surprise) and to make a diorama or some furnitures for them. (by handmade).
And I want to earn money for that even if I'm a little bite too young....

 

Plans, hey? "The best laid plans of mice & men" as they say... I am hoping for not too many surprises to disrupt my plans.
So far then, plans are:
- Find face-up artists for my incoming girls. Try not to miss the commission opening window.
- Turn this little pile of alpaca into a wig (eek!)
- Try not to lose my mind waiting for my Dollzone order (it's so frighteningly vague to order directly from them, and I have a long way to go if everything I've read is anything to go by )
- Sew some clothing for my girls.
- Try not to fall for too many new dolls. Restraint.

I'd like to get my first BJD this year. I can actually afford one now even!
I want her to be sweet and maybe have some cotton candy/pastel theme going on, sorta like Pullip Akemi.
I haven't found a sculpt yet but that's what I am hoping to find soon!
I might try making some stuff for my doll too, maybe props or furniture. Hopefully i can make magic with newspaper and glue and paint sometime. At least a chair or something.

And maybe get a DC Carol still.

-Getting Karon a new faceup.
-Finishing up my Souldoll Fafner's character. She's in the process of getting a faceup so this is progressing.
-Redesigning my Souldoll Yoni-P. Working on this currently.
-Purchasing a Supiadoll Ji-in.

Also, I want to get into customization more. Faceups, blushing, basic sewing and the like.

 

uhmm... hello everyone.... uhmm... i'm kinda new to this hobby and here in DOA, I'm Ella... please to meet you... my plan this year is hunting for Esthy Peroth's Head sculpt, his not my first grail doll but i notice that there are only a few people who's selling him and i'm kinda getting scared that i may not be able to have him, so i just push back my original doll plan to buy, and now i'm currently saving up for him and i hope once i already have the money i will find a seller of him *U*/

 

Play more, buy less (would help if I'd stop window shopping less as well).

 

Progress report...or lack there-of:

2. Finish paying off my three long-term layaways that carry over into 2017: a PeaksWoods Dotty Muse in green skin, an Aimerai Scraps Illusion fullset, and a Doll Chateau Luna in green skin. And then come to grips with the fact that my collection is finally complete and resist the urge to buy more resin!

Well, I didn't even manage to make it mid-way through January before failing on this one. While my existing layaways are progressing nicely of course, I just put another DearMine Bean on layaway with DDE! But in my defense, there's always room for one more bean!

 

There are two dolls I want to get this year. My Fairyland Momo, who is on layaway...and my Angell-Studio Lan Ling. Then I want to try and curb my habit for awhile. Maybe an outfit here or there, etc, but I don't want to go crazy.
I'd like to get a sewing machine and classes so I can make my own clothing to sell and for my dolls.

 

My doll plan for 2017 is to acquire both the lion and human forms of my OC so I can shell him! LUTS KDF LIO and Iplehouse EIDm Leonard, respectively! I've already got his lion form on layaway and I'm waiting for Iplehouse's doll choice to open again so I can jump for it +_+!! Other than those two, I have no plans to get another doll in the near future, except possibly an Iplehouse SIDw Grace version of my OC just because the female clothing choices are absolutely gorgeous, but we will definitely see how everything pans out!

 

originally, i wanted to bring home the last two boys in my character universe, but now i'm thinking of just getting dolls that i like and not worrying about characters or anything~ i really want a minifee and another girl. i hope crobi rereleases soi or sinbi in the future T . T
