Doll Plans 2017!

@Lawrah I love the idea of focusing on a single doll for the year.

My plans include completing profiles for all seven of my dolls on Den of Angels and my journal, and adding my archived photos to my journal.

Additionally, I want to give Willow (Angel of Dream Qing) and Glynnis (Doll Leaves Lilith) a thorough cleaning.

This may not sound like much, but for me, it's a lot.

Between work and school, I won't have time to devote to an incoming doll, so I would rather save Blanchefleur's homecoming for another year.

 

Oh man! I really want an Atelier Momoni doll, not sure which one yet though! And a body for my Mara head from SheCow, I hope she makes him a body this year, but it'll be better for my wallet if it's made next year!

 

My New Years resolution ended up being to get back into BJDs, and I've pretty much done that, so I'm off to a good start!

As for actual goals, I'd love to get a Dollzone Carter (and create a character for him) and spoil him and Aelic with some more nice clothes and stuff. I would also like to get the male Kid Delf Yul if I get the money and find one secondhand! Maybe even just a head...I love his precious little face. Hopefully some of this happens!

 

Lord... Well, I guess it's best that I go ahead & write this out. Not that I can ever stick to this stuff, anyway.

This year I'm going to focus on working my sewing skills so that I can make more clothes for my dolls. I don't really have any plans for more dolls since I got the two I've wanted most, so unless something comes up I'm going to just focus on making lots of stuff for them!

 

- Buy a body for the LLT Edria head I have on the way
- Buy a Soom Saiph head and Feeple65 body
- Improve sewing skills and start making doll clothes
- Buy/make 2-3 outfits for each of my dolls
- Send all my dolls off for new face-ups
- Get proper wigs and urethane eyes for all of them

 

I have a lusion on layaway at Dollmore. She should be all I get, but it is just a few weeks into January and I am already getting another Iplehouse here. (!)

 

Okay. I have spent... a lot of money to start this year off. I feel kind of sick with all the money I just spent in January on dolls.

So, unlike the last couple years that were focused on shopping to complete my collection, this year, my vows are more... savey. I need to bask in my dragon hoard and work on what I have now XD .

1. The only thing on my official wishlist allowed is a Daydream WS head/body. Otherwise, no more big doll-related purchases or purchases from overseas.

2. Organize the doll inventory and sell as much as possible that I'm not using/loving. Aim to get back $1.5k.

3. Repaint and build the dollhouse kit my dad got me, including the included furniture. Include light fixtures.

4. Do doll-related crafts. Faceups, sewing, quilting, jewelry-making, wings, prop-making, et cetera.

5. Do some nice photoshoots. Make at least one photostory. Make/spruce up everyone's doll profiles.

6. Do creative story-telling stuff for them. Art, comics, short stories, something, anything.

 

I'm new in BJD world. So my plan is to buy my first BJD doll. I like Iplehouse Violet, but I like dolls from Souldoll too. And I can't decide who to choose, sadly I have money just for one doll this year.

 

To start the year, I am going to listen to the little voice in my head that insists I must own a Soom 75cm Idealian. I don't know why, since it's a really stupid little voice with no common sense whatsoever. No doubt I will follow that up with the usual: staunch resolutions not to get anything new, followed by several purchases.

 

Maybe a yosd size doll? (I am tired of huge dolls, they are so hard to carry.) Sweet dream Yosd-Nana is the best!

 

This year I hope to finish couple of my dream dolls families. One is a family form the anime Karin (so think vampires) and another is from Victorian era. I also want to make at least two BJD, I've been researching now I just need the supplies.

 

I'm new to the hobby, so my plan for this year is to enjoy the doll that's on the way and maybe buy just a head to learn how to do face-ups on! I'm pretty generally excited to really get into it this year, we'll see what the future holds!
(And maybe buying a YoSD or a tiny, they have the cutest clothes!)

 

This year I want to make a lot of cute clothes for my boys! One of them has been sitting around naked for months and I feel really bad about it. Also I'd like to make a diorama! Probably Hemlock's workshop; lots of plants, magic, and knick-knacks.
(Also I'm planning on setting up an etsy eventually, and I'd like to start working on what I'll be stocking this year!)

 

I try to get only one SD doll a year so this one I will try to buy a Maskcatdoll Lisette in pink skin!
But if doll chateau has a good offer, I would get the winged girl kid body (I still need to find a head with elf ears that can fit it)
(finally one of my boys would have his partner hahah)

 

I've been more or less on hiatus for the last few years, so my goal this year is to finally get some substance into the "newest" boy's long-neglected wardrobe! I've had him for almost 4 years now, but he still has exactly one pair of pants, one pair of boots, and zero shirts. I'm hoping to fix that soon!

I'm also looking at making another SD purchase very soon, although fortunately we have clothes already that will fit him. I'm planning to order a BeYours Redcopper to FINALLY re-shell a character who's been waiting around for the right resin since 2008. Very excited!

 

1. Get a face up for my tiny Anubis. 2. Put together my custom doll - head purchased, need still horns, body and eyes. 3. Spoil my girls with lots of new clothing

 

Change in plans, since I managed to pull it off and said Shirou Tachibana is on his way home to me right this second. :3 I'd like to finish up my collection. That means the right eyes for Jes, possible new eyes for Cecil (his glass ones are good but I'd like urethanes), more dresses for Jes, more clothes in general...

This could be a very pricey year, but it'll be fun!
