Doll Plans 2017!

All right, here we go!

What with discontinuations and other wrenches in my plans, my main story is on hold for the time being. Most of the main characters are shelled anyway (except for Mike who still rejects everything I throw at him) and they might get attention, but I'll mostly be focusing on other stuff, including but not limited to:
- Ana and Cali's stuff, probably with a couple other dolls pulling double duty and getting fantasy outfits. I might also finish my FPL Siean head's mods and make her some stuff as she's from the same story.
- the DiMlings. Marcellina needs her "turn of the century" outfit(s) and at least one fantasy set.
- Absolutely got to bring home my Hobbit JIDs before Iple discontinues them.
- If IoS holds another event, get a Fred to go with my George (including another well-engineered, nicely sculpted boy body).
- While I'm at it, find out which bodies LittleRebel Kai works on and get Marcellina a brother.

There are still a bunch of smaller projects left from last year. One wig still needs to be replaced, and Carlos still wants a bit of attention too, so expect a bit of progress on those projects too.

Fun topic to read. I had a break from the hobby for a few years.

This year I'm planning on getting back in.

My doll plans for this year will be a new face up for my buddy doll Elisha.
Clothes and new wigs for my whole group.
New body and face up for my Granado V4 head.

If I'm able to save enough for a new bjd this will probably be an DZ Yui or a kid delf bory or maybe a little Monica Roselyn one of the three..

Or I get hooked for a Limited doll again ^^''

 

lol 'wrenches'... I didn't even get to start my plans before they landed lol so right now not a freaking clue for actual "plans" on my plate... I admire your tenacity against the plan breaker of the inescapable vortex!

 

-Get Clara's head back from the "Spa" (her face-up)
-Use each of the clothes patterns I've collected/made to actually make clothes
-Once the other two arrive, send them off to the "spa"
-Develop a full character for Clara/get to know her better

 

Well it's already a month well into 2017, but why not post anyway .
So I ordered my first head from ram cube last week, and I am excitedly waiting for its arrival. I need to find a body for him, ideally another SD17 body. I need to get some of my older dolls face ups renewed. I am also planning on getting a LUTS and a switch doll sometime this year. Finger crossing and hoping that little Monica will come up with a new limited edition head this season. I love their limited edition heads

 

Don't buy any more for at least eight months. Finish completing my dolls.

My plans for 2017 (including unexpected dolls xD):
1) DayDream Grace sleeping (ordered)
2) Ezra Miller minimee head for 62 cm body (3D modelling almost complete)
3) Dollzone new 70-004 body (on layaway, first payment done) for Vincent (Granado Enoch)
4) body for Ezra head (Dollzone new 60cm)
5) Finish my dolls image (some wigs and eyes, cloth; make-up for Vincent&Ezra, Grace)
6) Make/order at least one cloth set for both Vinsent and Ezra ♡
Hope it will be all for this year x)

Oh, and some of my dolls need restring and hot glue! ^^

What are your plans for this year?

My plans for last year exploded with retail therapy waiting on Dollshe Arsene. I acquired many heads and dolls and sold heads and dolls but still my group has grown.
Incoming are Dollzone Deer head, Granado Raguel head in NS and Ringdoll Kylin body with all his accessories.
The Deer head will be Dakota Hart's partial shift. A member of Drake Warlock's Pointless Lore company, that deals with other worldly creatures, protecting some, exorcising or putting them in a place so they can't hurt anyone.
Raguel will be Equinox Paradox a mystic, another member of Drake Warlock's Pointless Lore company.
Ringdoll Kylin's body will be used by one of my floating heads, not sure who yet but I have an idea.
I am also going to make some dioramas/rooms for the guys. I have made or bought so much furniture I need places to put it all.

 

Last year I just purchased my very first dolls and for this year I plan on making three miniature rooms for my three favorite dolls. Also I did not plan on getting more dolls soon but since almost every company has sales now I will probably end up getting more dolls xD
I do have two characters I finally want to come to life and I have heads for both already, only the bodies are missing, so my main goal for this year is to get them bodies

 

After not having a new doll (at least in resin) for almost two years I am soon to receive a Cuarto Darkhorn and I am sorely considering/hoping to get a Migidoll Yujin in tan in the next couple months, if not weeks.

 

I received my resin Enchanted doll from Marina Bychkova last year and am overwhelmed! It was a 5 year wait but I never gave up! I received her unpainted and sent her far away for her beautiful face-up, body blushing, pedicure and manicure. It was a little worrisome sending her away so far but everything went real well. I feel very lucky to have been able to own an Enchanted doll.

 

For me, after not getting any dolls last year, I couldn't resist when I saw Fairyland's Cygne and her vampire head. She'd make a great older sister for my Liria and Rendia girls. Then, I couldn't resist the pull of Pukifee Rin either since I just love MNF Rin's fullset, I couldn't wait to have a little sister with the same fullset even though Rin's been rehomed.

 

(There actually is one of these for 2017 right here! It was posted in 2016 though, so that might have been confusing.)

As for my plans, I mostly just want to finish Ilya, so...faceup, more clothes for him, his correct eyes and hair (if the wig I got doesn't work), then making things like his pelt and soccer uniform. Should be fun!

 

Haha, I've set up quite a few plans for this year but no idea how many i'll actually get done XD I have lined up-
Finish my fantasy gunslinger,
Finish shelling my panda doll character,
Make elf ears, clothes and generally finish my white fay character,
Make outfits & shoes for Miss Black,
Make Magical girl outfits for 3 of my dolls,
Make a Fury Road Nux character doll,
Make a YuGiOh Bakura doll,
Possibly pick up a body for my floating Migidoll Ell head
I also have in mind to make some cloaks, capes and Fairy Kei clothing both for my dolls and to sell. So plenty to keep myself busy with! XD

 

Last year I purchased my very first doll, it arrived this year so I guess you can say I started the year great and awesome!! Had to sell a few dolls due to a financial crisis but I still have my very first doll :3 I plan to get a male sculpt soon :3

 

I'm going to be buying my last doll for a while, and hopefully completely secondhand.

I finally have the means to get my grail doll (a Soom Sweet Witch) and then I'll be satisfied with my doll family for a while to come. I sew their clothes myself, so that's not a super issue; I just really would love to have the doll that started me in the hobby--Sweet Witch was the first BJD I'd ever saw, and she hooked me. It's been so difficult to find her and now that I have, and at a most reasonable price, I'm going to make her my own.

 

I totally did not stick to last year's plans of just reshelling two dolls and calling it good. I ended up buying several girls and selling off some boys, and added some tinies and pet dolls to my crew.

This year, I want to get a head for my poor headless Junior Delf body, shell Opaline, maybe get another pet doll or two and get good at airbrushing. Also, get new wigs for a few dolls and get more clothes for everybody because I am a doll clothing hoarder. XD

 

I see most everyone is doing what I am, can't resist a certain doll, so the ordering goes on!

 

I just ordered a wig and costume from Popovy Sisters dolls and that will be it for awhile as it took a bit of cash from my savings lol.....but their fashions, wigs, shoes, etc. are very hard to resist!
