Doll Plans 2017!

1. clean up my doll room - it is a disaster right now
2. work on my dioramas
3. Decide on a 1/3 scale doll. Looking for just the right face sculpt

 

I don't have a doll yet, so in 2017 hopefully i can get my first doll. Already decided on a doll but hope he's not gonna be exclusive or limited

 

Though I don't think I can make it...

sleep ver. Williams ( If I can travel to Japan in April and win the lottery for tickets)
3 bodies for floating heads.
Ajeong closer ver. ( If somebody sell it or it get re-released)

 

There are so many things I want to do in 2017, i should think in priorities though.

*First is to get bodies for the floating heads (waiting for 1 already, another is in layaway and have to buy 2 more) also i have to get wigs, clothes and shoes for the new dolls and some more for the dolls i already have.
* get a tripod!
* take more pictures (using manual mode )
* reestringing and cleaning Nico, Cami and Killari
I will try to make some clothes and props too and organize the doll space better

 

My general plans for 2017 are all about saving money and going back to school, so I'm going to slash my usual spending money and go down to nearly essentials.
That's not great for doll plans. To avoid any impulse buys, I'm making some set goals:

1. List for sale all dolls and accessories I've been intending to sell before February.
2. Build a collapsible set before March.
3. Sew dresses for the two new girls before March.
4. Re faceup the older dolls, suede, and wire as needed within the first half of the year.
5. Make boots for my two deprived Spiritdoll, DZ hybrids at some point.
6. Make a fur wig at some point
7. Buy one and only one new BJD, possibly a Bermann or body for my Saint.
8. Choose one outfit for Bryany, my new Zaoll Luv to be the only BJD clothes I buy in 2017.
9. Learn to take decent photos (multipurpose)
10. Finally, attend and host meet ups.

 

1. Build a diorama for my minis and find furniture for it
2. Sew clothes for the incoming dolls
3. Faceup & blush the incoming dolls
4. Find a body for an incoming head if I cannot hybrid it on an available body at home (yay for body sharing!)
5. Renew faceups and customisation of dolls that need it
6. Attend and and host meet ups
7. Try not to spend too much (aka sell before buying...) ^_^

 

I have a floating head that I am aiming to get a body for and her face up done.

 

Hi! I don´t have a BJD yet, so for this year i hope to get my first doll. Although i have not decided yet, i´m saving money for it.

...And progress was made on everything else. Except for Lithikus (Lotus), because my planned restringer closed shop until further notice.

• Pay off ultimate grail and other things
  
• Wigs and eyes Chapter II
• Clothes and shoes for all
• Finish Vríshka and get his wig
• Post a photostory after shooting it
• Do more faceups
• Hardcore collection reassessment
• Headback for Kael'thas
• Body for Lor'themar and someone else
• At least one grey/tan body
• Start a project. A roleplay, video, or WIP thread...something to do
• Continue BJD Addict prompts

 

-Finish paying off my Iplehouse EID Carina layaway -then receiving her in the mail
-Find my grail Iplehouse Leonard???
-I'd like to figure out a better way of displaying my dolls
-getting the Dolk Touken Ranbu Mikazuki bjd??? (very much depends on the price).

 

Just got 2 dream girls. Near the end of 2017 I'd like to get my last one, purple RS Ju to shell my night elf priest.
Going to be busy sewing for LTF since I haven't made anything in Meredith's (LTF DES) size yet.

 

-Doll room clean-up
-Buy doll shelves (big dream)
-Photograph all dolls and document
-New face-ups for Soom Teenies
-Finally blush some of my dolls
-Find perfect wigs for Soom Teenies, Luts Kid delf, Soom Little and Fairyline doll
-Find alternate outfits... floofy and practical.
-Wire my Amelia Thimble
-Get a new face-up for Soom Mini? Maybe.
-Learn to sew just a little bit

Possible Doll Purchases?

I'm pretty happy with what I have but we never know what these doll companies will do next.

 

I'm receiving a Popo Doll Wei Chen from my mom and aunt as a gift. It's interesting and not at all what I expected.

 

Sell off some dolls and finish my collection! That's all!

 

Hopefully by next year I will be able to comfortably afford a respirator and airbrush with air compressor. I'd like to use them to make faceups. I'll also see if I can get better at wig making... Probably no more dolls for now, though.

 

New year, new plans. Here are mine-
For dolls I have:
1. Order the 5 pairs of eyes I want for my dolls from Captured in Glass
2. Get wigs for the 5 who need them, plus the one I'm waiting for (Every doll has a wig! Though some need a different one.)
3. Get eyes for anyone else who needs better ones
4. Do more face-ups! I have way too many blank dolls.(3 done!)
5. Make more clothes
6. Make more furniture/props
7. Take more pictures

Sell the head and doll that don't fit with the group (have listed for sale)
Receive the doll I'm waiting for (She's home! And has a good wig and eyes!)
Maybe get a Bluefairy Pocket Fairy.

November Edit: hoping to get the head and body for my first hybrid.

Avoid ordering any more dolls, especially adult dolls, I'm running out of space!

 

I believe my 2017 plans are kind of immense:

• finish doing faceups for the many heads I acquired in 2016 (10?)
• work on body blushing the bodies that belong to those heads.
  
• break my new sewing machine out of it's packaging and put it to use, and learn how to sew more professionally (a bit of an amateur here!)
• pay off my layaway for Dollshe King Corey
• either dye Impldoll Star female body to match head going with it, or use that body for another character (or sell it, if need be) and order a color-matched body
• Get curio/display cabinet with glass doors to display dolls in.
• Work on Pullip MIO kit I haven't had the chance to work on yet.
• make (or custom order/buy) wigs for dolls that don't already have them
• get the occasional wardrobe pieces for my dolls as I find them/have funds for them.
• create dioramas/rooms for specific characters.
• get remaining eyeless dolls some eyes
• shoes, more shoes. Maybe learn how to make them.
• hone my airbrushing skills so I can use my new airbrush for body blushing/faceups.
  
• Build up the confidence and (hopefully) get more involved in the bjd community (online, IRL, etc.)

That's a pretty good start

 

I usually do so badly at these kind of resolutions.
But here we go:

1. Avoid spending too much money on dolls. If I have to spend money on the hobby, I hope it can be on clothes and such.
2. Try my hands at sewing again.
3. Go to Jointed Hearts
4. Learn more about photography.

-commission clothes from Kastalia
-go to a meet-up
-buy the VOLKS DearSD x BTSSB collaboration dress set

and the probably-not-going-to-happen-but-I-can-dream-can't-I list
-buy an YoSD Megu
-buy a DDdy Sasara head
-buy an MDD (and/or DDS body)
-go to a VOLKS event

 

I have a mildly short list haha..

1. Receive first doll
2. Practice face ups before doing one on said doll
3. Improve at sewing so I can make outfits for dolls better
4. Save up for next one!
