So, yeah it's bodies yet again, OH! and face-ups.

 

Hmmmmm.... let's see....

1. buy the dolls on my wishlist
2. buy body for my 3 poor heads who is seeking for bodies
3. learn how to do BJD face up
4. learn how to sew
5. finish my unfinished sculpt
6. sew maid dresses for all of my doll, and take a group picture!

 

I want to give my only whole BJD a makeover and a new image and finally name him, after several years of neglect. I also want to make a diorama, get back into doll sewing and accessory making, and learn some new sewing/crafting techniques for some ideas I have.

If I can find the time and supplies, I would also like to practice face-ups on my blank head, try making a doll wig, and recover a doll chair.

 

I want to make more clothes for my dolls and improve my photography! I think I've come a ways from last year. I also want to do more outdoor photoshoots with my friends.

I'm quite happy with my collection right now. But if I see an LLT Roderich or an anime-style MSD I really like my no buy resolution may go out the window lol.

 

I voted for a few things. I want to make new accessories and buy some clothes for the dolls I have. There are a bunch that need mods and finishing. I have one doll on my wishlist and one body I’d really like to get and that’s it for new dolls for me. But I have so many blanks. I have a lot of work to do.

 

I chose not buy dolls, buy accessories, and also other.

My collection, as far as actual dolls, is basically complete. There will always be other sculpts I really like, but I am more or less done with bringing in MORE. I'm happy to say I'm truly at a place of peace and fulfillment with my dolls.

Having said that, my collection, as far as completing dolls, needs way more work! I need faceups, wigs, clothes, stands, you name it. I'm not a crafter, but I appreciate all those who are (and will probably buy from you on etsy).

For the "other," I am still in need of more display cases. It makes cleaning and caring for my dolls soooooo much easier and it's nice to be able to look at them all the time.

 

1. Sell a couple dolls I've been meaning to. They've been boxed up for months and it's time.
2. Sell a bunch of accessories/wigs/eyes etc. that are laying around not being used.
3. Get Halloween and Christmas outfits in advance, or at least not try last minute again when it's too late anyway.
4. Improve their set/doll area with some nice accessories and maybe furniture? Right now everybody's just sitting on top of a bare dresser in my walk in closet.
5. Maybe take some photos!

 

I recently got back into this hobby. I didn't stop all together but haven't done much or interact with anyone in the hobby mostly so I want to get more dolls, give all my current ones a makeover and organize the stuff I have.

 

Here's my 2022 resolution

- I will NOT adopt any new doll this year (If purchase that's for my friend's sake etc...)
- Continue my main photographing project to 2/3 of the whole (I've finished 1/3 of it quite smoothly in 2021)
- 1 Domestic doll trip
- 1 Doll trip to a flower (maybe rose) garden
- 1 Photos set of my doll with some props from my backyard (hopefully some flowers blooming this year)
- Definitely more dress wig and accessory etc. (Either make or buy)

Hope I could achieve it well

 

My current plans are:

-try really, REALLY hard not to buy a new doll, and if I do, keep it to a yosd to save space
-buy/find new eyes, clothes, wigs, shoes and props for my 3 BJD's, try not to go overboard (ongoing)
-take better/proper photos of my dolls using my camera (NOT my phone) and learn more abt doll photography
-show off said photos of my dolls on DoA and other social platforms
-finally organize a proper space where they can be routinely displayed (they've been stuck in their box coffins for long enough)
-invest in some doll stands for them bc they deserve it

All or some might change, but that's the gist of it! I really wanna spoil my little darlings as best as I can this year

 

My 2022...

1. Not buy any more dolls.
2. Display my dools. Thinking glass cases and etc.
3. Finish rehab/modding a bjd that was gifted to me in need of tlc.

 

I'm trying to catch up on everything I lazed off on in 2021.
1. Get a body for King Logan, whose been a floating head since 2017.
2. Get a wig for Logan too, his first one didn't fit
3. Commission a permanent wig for Sir Thomas
4. Commission a screen outfit for Julian Devorak
That's everything I need to incrementally save for and buy. Here are the things I intend to paint or craft during the year so far.
1. Finish the monochrome paint job on El Novio Olvidaldo
2. Paint my Akheilos merman bust once he gets in, and not let him sit with just his head done.
3. Make a simple loincloth for El Novio for when he goes to meets
4. Try to make some clothes for my SoSD Horus to wear whenever he gets in.

 

My unfinished dolls have been staring at me long enough!!

I need to give every body a head, everyone clothes, finally update their faces, and hopefully completely finish one of my sculpts! I have a bad habit of starting new projects all the time, I need to focus on one! TwT

 

My goal this year is to finally get faceups for the blank dolls I've already bought lol

What resolutions do you have for your doll hobby this year?

 

I have a few plans that I want to attempt this year.
1. Order the new beast body from Miracle Doll.
2. Make clothes for everyone that is naked.
3. Get my blank dolls some faceups.

I have some more goals but these are at the top right now. I know I'll definitely get the first one done soon.

Mine:
1. Reshell my old characters (the following sculpts are already on the way: SartoriaJ Jude w/ MSD Zeus body, Racoon Doll Leticia Goddess body, Doll Valley B4-04 body, and Souldoll Juno Head)
2. Introduce my new character
3. Finish the kitchen diorama
4. Finish Suri's cottage
5. Make my first wig (fingers crossed)
6. More photoshoots and photostories.

 

hahaha I impulse bought a rando doll!! This might be the fastest I failed at my yearly doll plans ever
