Doll plans 2022

What I REALLY need to do is finish all my doll projects and sell my unwanteds. What I've actually done so far is buy yet another blank, naked doll that is now on his way >.>

 

Need to update my plans already, and January's not even over! Bought a doll and decided not to sell the two I was thinking about.

• Order boots and better fitting shorts for Frisk. Maybe a different wig too.
• Find a faceup artist for Chara and Frisk.
• Order button up shirt and socks for Chara
  
• Try to dye a spare pair of pants for them from khaki to brown
• Still need to clear out extra wigs/eyes/clothes that aren't being used
• Update everybody's profile photos.

 

I would like to get some of my dolls into their actual clothes! I have some spirits of the seasons that needs outfits, some dolls that has had to 'make-do' with other doll's clothes, some dolls that could use a new face-up and maybe a new wig. So i hope to pamper them a bit this year. after my break i also finally want to get my last season spirit and dress all of them up and freshen up face'ups if needed.
I'd love to learn how to sew, since what i want for some of my dolls can't really be found anywhere.
I'd like to round out my collection a bit more aswell and get them propperly sorted on stands and in a secure place since i have cats.

 

A big thing I want to accomplish this year is to get my funds in-line to put a new doll on layaway. I'd really like an SD sized girl. but she may have to wait as I have a couple others on my wish list as well.

• I'd really like to make a new wig for my SD boy since I can't seem to find one to suit him. he also needs a new faceup
• I also want to take more photos of my dolls I've been slacking these last couple years.
• I want to try out the YOSD size. I've never had one before and would like to see if I'd like it.
• practice my faceups.

 

My dolly resolutions for 2022

• I will finish my first doll's complete makeover and finally have her complete. She'll have at least one proper outfit, and also a wig and a pair of eyes that actually fit my original vision for her.

• I will order (and hopefully receive) a friend for my poor old girl. Time will tell who will join her.

• Before the year ends, I've learned how to sew outfits for my doll/dolls.

 

Currently my plan for this year is to finish up some dolls and prepare for the incoming of four dolls - One OT vinyl doll, F60 Erda, a Myou Lingwei-1, and a Realfee Luna full set. Ordered the Luna the day she became available so I'm hoping my wait isn't too much longer. And depending on how my finances go this year, I may get two more dolls-- A tan MNF Sylvia and a NS MNF Alicia But again, that's a maybe.

I also need to get more shoes for my crew. It's musical shoes and I'm not a fan My plan is to spoil the heck outta them all.

I already started refreshing my collection by selling a few dolls and now I'm gonna buy a new Dollfie Dream that fits more with my aesthetic and the kind of dolls I like!

 

I have lots of plans, I have been more active in the hobby recently. I already started my plans by ordering one new doll on layaway. I am also planning to buy a SD girl during sometime next summer. Also, I am currently selling one of my dolls, I hope I can find him a home soon. Plus some new clothes and wigs are on the way.
I am also planning to do some more accessories this year. If I had my own sewing machine I would also probably do more clothes, but we will see if I buy finally sewing machine this year. Addionally I am planning to finish one of my dioramas, I started building it last December. I need some more furnitures and few other things for it.

 

I was checking on my plans from last year and some I managed to do and some did not... more to do with lack of time than motivation, though, so I'm not too bothered.
I have mixed plans for this year - some of my heads need bodies, some dolls need ordering wigs...
I'm working just now on a reconstruction of an elaborate dress designed by Elie Saab (loads of embroidery and embellishments...) so I'm really hoping I will manage to finish it this year...
I also hope I will manage to resist the temptation of any new dollies coming in this year (famous last words, I know haha) so I could focus on my existing ones or at least getting new doll only from my existing wishlist.

 

During covid lockdown I got bored and went a little crazy buying dolls which I never would have bought otherwise. When I came to my senses, I realized I had bought at least 8 dolls which I have no further interest in and have not bonded with. My original collection are mostly SDs and a couple of YOSDs. BC (before covid) I only had one MSD. I hadn't planned to get any more MSDs, as they don't "fit" with my other dolls. But the ones I bought during covid were all MSDs.

Soooo . . . I've been selling off most of the ones I bought during the lockdown and my plan for 2022 is to get back to my original doll family and only keep the dolls I have truly bonded with and have a history with.

 

I've made an itemized list of everything I have to do with my dolls this year before I even *begin* to think of getting an additional doll.

-4x wigs
-3x outfits/accessories
-2x (possibly 3x) shoes
-4x faceups/blushing/etc

It's really helped to put it all into perspective and have things at a good, concrete standing so I can mark things off as I go. I have a short time period where I can work on some things (like the faceups) so having a list makes it easier to prioritize/manage. Maybe afterwards I'll be scoping out a new doll, but it depends on my space/current budget.

 

I wanted to start with "not buy new dolls" - but I already bought a new doll.

I'm definitely going to be concentrating on the dolls I have, and get them all accessories and clothing.
Since I have such a huge number, I'm going to be concentrating on them in groups - otherwise it would just be too overwhelming.

I just feel that I can't justify buying new dolls when they're all nude and eyeless.

I think my second focus is going to be finding a way to properly store doll supplies. And getting rid of rubbish accessories (dodgy wigs, damaged clothes, etc.)

 

My goals for this year are quite ambitious
I want to try sculpting my own doll, as I have not been able to find the right sculpts/bodies for a couple characters that I want to shell. This will probably take all year, as I have only just started learning how use different 3D modelling software.
I also don't want to buy any new dolls (with the exception of my grail) and give my time and attention to the ones I already have. Everyone needs a new face up and only one is fully clothed (minus shoes ).
I also moved at the end of last year and would like to buy a nice display to keep everyone in.

My plans are mostly of the finishing sort. I intend to finish all my dolls (be that through bodies or faceups or what have you), and I intend to "finish" my collection. There are only two dolls I still want, so I'd like to grab them before they disappear.

 

1. I want to learn more complex sewing pattern for my doll. I got my first sewing machine in November and I can only sew basic dress, skirt and T-shirt. I would like to do some cloak, complex dress and fantasy costume

2. I would love a new anthro doll if I could but not necessary

1. NO MORE IMPULSE BUYS! I always say that but it almost always won’t work…
2. Make more eyes for my dolls. I get that many eyes people make are pretty but still can’t get why the price is so high for just a pair of eyes(I get it for glass eyes), so I’m still make my own resin eyes.
3. A lot of sewing projects needs to be done. Suits for my boys and cos for my characters.
4. I also want to learn how to make wigs.
5. Practice more faceup~

3) get better at photography
4) get Volks liesolette and Charlotte

I can't promised to bring more dolls home, especially if long-sought after sculpts appear in the Marketplace. But it is high time that everyone:
1) has a name
2) has a defined style
3) has a complete, default outfit
4) and, of course take more photos
