1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Doll social accounts

Mar 22, 2021

    1. I have a personal instagram that I restrict only to people I know IRL and then I have a public dolls only instagram. I used to post both under the same account, but over time, my social circle grew to the point I no longer felt comfortable displaying my dolls to all of them. It made sense to separate the two and I've never looked back.

I also have a (mostly inactive) BJD tumblr, but stopped using it years ago, and I sell dolls on Facebook under my personal account because I'm too lazy to set up a second one and switch between the two.

    2. I don't use social media personally, but once I started getting into dolls I have created an account. I was thinking of just posting photos of my collection as it grew, but I haven't posted anything and I just have been using it to follow artists and such.

    3. I only have one Instagram account. It was originally just a personal account where I would post my baking and anything else in my personal life I wanted to share including dolls, then a few years ago the dolls started to take over, and then this past year I also got really into nail art and started posting nail polish related content as well. I try to keep it balanced. If I posted a nail art post a doll needs to be next.

If people don't like that I post both dolls and nail polish regularly on my account then they don't have to follow me. I post what makes me happy, and both are a big part of my interests at this point in time. I'm posting because I want to post and I like scrolling through my own pictures. I'm not doing it for the follows or likes.

    4. My insta is mainly to show what I like and who I am to the world. I haven't posted recently cause ✨lazy✨ but I personally won't make a doll account till I star a business or something that I want to just focus on that. My account is all about me and that includes My dolls.

    5. I actually have a habit of creating separate instagram accounts for most of the hobbies that I partake in, but I can only actively maintain one at a time. I'm still new to BJDs, but once my dolls are all settled, I'll probably be creating a separate account for them as well!

    6. I have an Instagram account I post my dolls one. It actually used to be my art account, but I decided I wanted to start that on a clean slate and repurposed it for my dolls and a few other things I collect.

    7. I am going to start an account for my dolls for this exact reason!! I have not posted pictures in years because of the weird comments from friends. This is a great Idea!

    8. My IG is a dumping ground for everything right now because I barely use IG beyond looking at other people's stuff, but I have two FB accounts, one for family and coworkers, and one for... everything else. I made a separate FB back when I was cosplaying a ton and didn't want to constantly have awkward comments from my *mother* on every cosplay photo I posted. Now it's just normal for me to separate my posts so that I don't have to constantly explain myself and my weird hobbies to my family or to coworkers.

    9. Yayyyyy I support this! ;-) let me know your account when you make it so I can follow you :-)

    10. I'm also an artist trying to get followers but... I barely remember to post on my IG account... having to switch to a different account to post seems like I would post even less because of the added work. I also don't take that many doll pictures. Usually I do a photoshoot and post all of the best/favorites from the bunch. I should be more active taking pictures often and such but I'm lazy, so I only do it like... once every few months. So I'd say go for it if you plan of posting a lot, otherwise, you'd have to struggle to stay active on more than one account. I have too many interests for one person =_= so I'm a jack of all trades master of none type I guess .-.
