Although, to be honest, a lot of their DD character dolls have been hentai characters. I just don't think a lot of Western fans realize that. Even the MiniDD Demonbane girls are hentai characters who do hentai things in their respective games.

Escalayer is an all around hilarious hentai send up of the mahou shoujo genre, I wonder how she'll be received at Comiket. It's like a mannequin- since they aren't soft and fleshy they make their breasts look like they're in a bra all the time, because when clothes are on you'll want that look!

Personally I like the bodies- BJDs tend to have (IMO) rather non-curvaceous bodies so it's fun to see something different! Also, as a large breasted woman myself, I don't mind seeing some big boobs! Actually Kanu is probably the doll that looks most like me of any I've seen- tanned, busty, her hair is even like mine, only longer (my current fringe is very similar, my hair is dark brown, and goes down to my bum). When I first saw her I thought "Whoah... it's a ME doll! " ....so I suppose I'm more in favor of the DDD body than I would be if they'd used some other character.

 

I love the DDD boobs. I have extremely big boobs myself, I WISH mine looked that perky. And well, big, bouncy not bound by gravity boobs are part and parcel of the whole Dollfie Dream aesthetic I think. They're supposed to look just like three dimensional anime characters. Anime characters very rarely have realistic breasts.

Kanu looks so amazing to me because the DDD body is built just like she actually is in her series. Very high, very big, very round boobs that have never seen a bra, slim waist, some nice tummy definition, wide hips, some serious thighs and an even more serious badonkadonk ass.

I love how they don't look like they need a sandwich, stat, or they're going to fall over.

 

I believe they come with regular hands as well as the gloved hands.

The only other things I can tell about it is that she'll be normal skin and cost ¥58,000 (¥60,900 with tax). I haven't seen any photos of the actual doll yet. Oh, and it looks like they'll be selling her at other events too, the next one being Treasure Festa 2009 in February.

Well, I honestly never really liked the thin waist/big boobs style. I like the more realistic proportions of resin BJDs. (The problem is I like the anime-style heads of the DDs!) Regardless, I hope to see them around DOA!

 

Yeah, I know WHY they have made the boobs the way they have, but I just don't like it. I'm a UK G cup and if I wear some styles of bra my boobs will squish together like the DDD body too, me and my fiance don't like that look, but to have that look without a bra always seems silly to me. Wether it be on dolls or figures or even artwork.

Anime may not often have realistic boobs, but a lot of non ecchi or hentai anime at least have reasonable boobage (although there is of course always exceptions) The dramatic over emphasized big bouncing huge boobs are mainly in eroge, hentai and ecchi's.

Thats why I want to know if the regular bust part will be interchangeable with the DDD body, because even though the regular dd bust isn't realistic, it is more reasonable. If you had boobs like the DDD body you could rest your chin on them.

 

I'm pretty sure on the Normal Skin that it will be interchangable with the DD M bust/ L bust and old bottom torso, because it still looks like it has the same interior. I would love to see Ryomou in an Ami60 s chest. Also because the torso cut is high obitsu chests might fit as well.

 

If you buy this body and replace the torso and bust, you have a normal DD2 body. o_O The entire point of the DD is to appeal to the Otaku market. And most people don't know that these dolls are sold more often then not in Hentai shops. I'm going to get a DDD body for one of my girls. ^_^ The perky huge boobies are perfect for her.

 

Yeah I know that, but if I want to buy Ryuomou, she will come with the DDD body, including boobs.

I was asking because obviously I wouldn't buy a ddd body on it's own, but if I brought a doll that came with the ddd body, for example Ryuomou, then I would want to switch out the ddd boobs because personally I don't like them.

I do know that these dolls are made to appeal to the otaku market, I knew someone a while ago who wanted a dd to dress in perverse outfits and pose sexually and such (do NOT talk to him anymore) but it doesn't appeal to everyone in the same way.

That's why Volks have optional parts after all, it's so that we can make the doll what we want it to be.

 

I imagine it would probably be easier to sell the DDD body and buy a DD2 body to swap the head to-DDD body would hopefully fetch a good price since they're so limited and will definitely appeal to certain types of collectors!

I have to say, I really like the winking head she has, since you can't really mod DD heads the same way as resin heads she's definitely unique!

This shows that the bust of the DDD body is now, somehow... adjustable. I'm not sure how, but you can adjust them for more cleavage

 

I'm pretty sure that the DDdy torso can not be swapped with a regular DD torso. The joint is in a completely different place.

 

Maybe the bust is soft this time, thus enabling them to be 'squished together' XD

 

I know I want the DDD body, just have to figure out how to get it. Mr. Postman will have to help me with that.

Gah, I think I want one of these girls. >.< I've always liked DD's but keep putting off getting one. But Kanu (and Saber) is so pretty. Not to mention that the DDD body is ridiculously sexy. XD

I am wondering if the DDD body will be able to wear normal DD clothes, though. One of the big appeals of DD's for me is the range of adorable clothes available for them.
