@TrashKing Congrats on your incoming YouYou! Doll Love is pretty quick so I look forward to seeing your new dolly very soon! Thanks for the compliments everyone! This place was suggested last year by a member of our local group. We had such fun the first time, I had to go back this year. I hope to make it at least a yearly photo op for my dolls. I'm so glad I found this thread! I just got a YanYan and I'm wondering where the best places are to buy clothes/wigs that will fit her well. Any advice/suggestions? I plan on trying to hand make a few dresses to.
@pandakey Yay!!!!!!! I'm so happy there's going to be a YanYan joining the party! We haven't had many, I had to look long and hard when I was deciding for myself but ultimately went with YiYi since she reminded me of my paternal Grandmother's smile. I am really excited for you! I can't wait for you to share pictures!!!!!!!! I'm going to give it an educated guess that she will require a 6/7 wig but the bodies are all the same for the recent dolls. I think originally they were single jointed? Anyhow, regular old yosd will fit well. Francie has the biggest wardrobe by far since it's so easy to find clothes that fit. That's great you will sew for her. I've done one small sewing project and it went well. Please share your creations and your new doll when she comes home!!!!
Do you actually have her? Or, have you just ordered her? Congrats on getting a YanYan, pandakey! She's very cute! I agree with mollym, my Doll Love girls are very easy to buy for since almost all regular YOSD sized clothes fit them. You can find clothes for them everywhere. My favorite places are Ebay, Etsy, Alice's Collection, and even Denver Dolls Emporium.
I have her..well, sort of. She arrived just days after I left for a study abroad trip. So she's at my friend's house in her box waiting for me to get back! Thanks for the replying to my question!!
Awesome! And yes, I will share once I get back home and do a little photo shoot. I don't see many YanYans around (on youtube, etc.). YouYou seems to be the popular sculpt, hahaha! Something about YanYan's gentle expression made me choose her though. Anyhow, thanks for the advice!
Yay me! Doll Love's Summer Event is under way, and I just ordered a boy Ke from Alice's Collection! He's so darn cute! I'm so looking forward my two YouYou(s) having a male companion to play with.
