1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmaster movie

Aug 23, 2004

    1. It's not terribly scary -- It might be if you were afraid of dolls, but heck, WE all know that their eyes pop open now and then....no surprises there!

But honestly, I don't care for horror films and this one was OK for me.

Plus now I want a St. Mina so I can make her that red jumper!

    2. Have to agree not scary.. I watched it then after wards let my daughter watch it and she loved it.. my friends watched it and also let her daughter watch it..

Agree if dolls sppok you out then mmm it might scare you...

and yay my daughters Mina arrives this week Ver 2 and my friend got 1st version... so 2 Mina's in the UK.. making pattern now for them so can make the red dress.... yay for Dollmaster...

      :daisy

    3. I so have to get this film now...my only worry is that it will make me freak out around my own dolls

    4. Nah, it'll just make you love them more!!!

    5. I KNOW! I cried at how poorly some of the dolls were treated in this movie. XD Makes you want to take yours (not that I have mine yet) and baby him/her like crazy.

    6. Nah. BJD don't scare me. The Porcelain baby Dolls Scare me. *shudders*

    7. eeep I bought it off Ebay...Can't wait to watch it with Farrah :chibi

    8. I ordered a copy off of ebay a few months ago, too (I made sure it wasn't a bootleg).

I was hesitant about watching it after it arrived because I'm not fond of horror movies.

But after awhile I finally watched it and wondered why the heck I didn't watch it sooner! I really love this movie. The last few lines are cut off on my copy too, but the acting is well enough that you get an idea of what's going on.

    9. Okay I have been looking everywhere, but I can't find the Official website of the Doll Master.

So does anybody has the link?

      Thankies
      Sabriell

PS...that movie rocks!! And Mina is so sweet...I can't understand why she doens't like her!!

    10. from what I can find, teh website was eaither taken down, or no longer exists.

    11. The website was down for a rather long time, so I'd assume that it's just completely gone now. ^^;

    12. *_* it was taken down quite a while ago... you do know that the movie is to be remade in the us right?

*shudders* It was such a beautiful movie, I hope they don't turn it into something like Chucky... :barf

    13. I hear you on that ;o; I'm kind of hoping it's not going to be a mainstream US film, or else it's probably going to be really watered down, and probably use non bjds :l

    14. they better use bjds...and i'm starting to get really tired of american remakes of foreign films. we always manage to muck it up one way or another... :barf

    15. I have the really horrid feeling that they'll end up using porcelain dolls.

    16. OMG don't say that. *bites nail* I'll be having nightmares now!

    17. I have a feeling you're right--time for scary porcelains again. I also hear my ignorant-type friends just saying "Oh, it's just Puppet Master except with dolls."

    18. This topic has already been beaten to death and ended up removed the last time someone brought it up.

Anyway, there's no point in freaking out over something that's nothing more than speculation at this point. No one has any hard evidence that they're even going to make it.

    19. ooo they already have an old creepy movie with porcelain dolls, aptly named "Dolls". It scared the bajeebus out of me when i was little. Hence the reason i hid my porcelain dolls in a box in my closet when i was little...and then taking them out again when i thought they'd get mad in the middle of the night.

yeah i was a paranoid child.

annnyways, the movie "Dolls", now that I think of it was reeeeeaaally cheesy, set in a creepy old victorian looking house in the middle of a dark and stormy night...and the dolls ended up killing all the people in various ways. it prolly wouldn't be that scary if i saw it now...but i was scared of edward scissorhands when i was little. hahahahaaha

    20. I've read all your reactions to this movie....and now I feel like such a wuss :( I lasted watching like the first 20 minutes or so.....until "the bit in the closet"....and pretty much couldn't watch anymore. ARG I'm so mad at myself, I've wanted to watch this for ages and after you guys saying it really wasn't that bad I though I'd be ok.....but damn those big dolls totally freaked me out big style :o Perhaps I could watch it if I wasn't on my own....lol

Anyone volunteer to be my movie buddy?
