Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     3. Miramax has bought the rights to remake the movie... I'm not sure how I feel about that, but if it should ever come to theatres I'm taking my dolls to see it. XD

    12. I love Dollmaster. A friend of mine who's not into bjd's actually recommended it to me so I watched it and saw it had BJD's in! The dolls are so beautiful, I can watch it for them alone. Also on the special features on the DVD they show more of the dolls.. YAY!

    13. so. The Doll Master arrived yesterday. and i watched it last evening to find out that i had received the KOREAN VERSION. i had to wade through the menu and guess which option might be "english subtitles". thankfully i guessed correctly, although for some reason the last few lines of dialogue weren't translated at all. i had to kind of guess what they were saying. but i was so sad, all of the extras on disk two had no subtitle option, so i couldn't understand a word of it except "ahn yong!" and "kamsamnida!!!"(doesn't mean i didn't watch anyway).

      *sigh*

      but it was a great movie. really creepy. the full-size dolls were horrifying looking even when they weren't moving. and the customhouse dolls were beautiful.

    14. Ah, I watched Doll Master even before I was into dolls/bjds!
      So you can imagine my surprise when I watched it again after I discovered them, and realized all those pretty dolls were actually bjds..

      My version also wasn't subtitled at the end...
      thankfully my boyfriend is korean and gave me a rough translation so I wouldn't have to suffer not knowing what they were saying! *_*

    15. ah! do you remember what they were saying? my sister in law is korean and i could ask her, but that would involve mailing the movie to Massachusetts and then waiting for her to watch it. haha. not exactly practical.

      or maybe i'll just take it as added incentive to learn more korean.

Just finally saw this (thanks to Tsuminaki, woohoo!!), and had one question for the Korean-speakers (since my subtitles also cut out at the end) . . . this was asked before, but I didn't see a clear answer. In my version, it sounded like the "responsible" line mentioned above was said during the fleeing-from-mannequins scene, and then something else was said during the bonfire.

      At the end of the movie,when they're standing over the pile of burning dolls and mannequins . . . what does Hae-Mi say, just before she tosses Mina's head into the fire?

      Poor Mina :(((((((
