1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Dollmaster movie

Aug 23, 2004

    1. Well, if they brought the movie to the U.S., anmd a bunch of people from school watched it, it gives me all the more reason to bring my dollfie to school >:D (lol, I mean come on, who wouldn't do this?)

    2. Wouldn't watching the movie and then seeing someone toting a Dollfie around be very frightening? For those unfamiliar with BJDs anyway...

While I was watching, I kind of glanced over at my doll and figure collection ">_> You little dears aren't up to anything, are you? Even though I forget to dust you?"

    3. I wonder if my uncle has seen Dollmaster...... he is a huge horror movie buff ( his entire basement is filled with Horror movie paraphenalia ).....

Maybe I should get him a copy for Christmas :)

    4. I have to get this movie. My sister loves my dolls, and she and my husband are BIG scary/horror/slasher/thriller movie fans.
I am not a big scary movie fan. eek eeek eeek

    5. I just bought a copy on Ebay for 99 cents LOL Either no one knew what it was, or it was listed incorrectly...but i paid more for the shipping than i did the actual movie :)

    6. Funny, I almost bid on that. But I went out for dinner and forgot about it.

    7. I am not asking to ruin the movie for any one but does anyone know wat Mai says at the very end if look at the section part and go to number 17 it when she standing there holding the dolls head. I just got my dvd and the english sub stop working after the attack before the end. you can pm me if you don't want to put anything that would spoil the movie up I just want to know what she says really badly its the only part that has no subs -__- and its not like i can ship the thing back its imported.

      thanks

    8. Oh jeez, if they remade the Dollmaster I think I'd cry T___T I liked the original film, subtitles and all! Apparently, us Americans have a problem with appreciating foreign movies in all their glory *nods*

    9. I loved the movie and a remake would be too sad.
I really can't understand how people couldn't pay attention to the movie while reading subtitles... also all the asian movie remakes are so poor compared to the originals (I mean seen as "normal" movies they are ok, but they lose all their beauty being copies... and asian versions are always more charming to me), but this particular one isn't really remakable!
I wonder if they would keep CH dolls or whatever...

    10. I saw the movie and absolutely loved it. I didn't think it scary at all (actually it just made me really emotional XD).

I'm kind of...ehh...about a remake. I highly doubt it would be nearly as good as the original, and it would be amusing (my twisted humor) how that affects the way people respond to people with/walking around with a BJD.

    11. i love that film it made me cry badly :(

    12. we just watched it at my going away party/meet-up. A few people got emotional, and we did laugh at some parts. But the scene with the girl and her doll, (as a child), WOW....that kinda got to me....made me tear up :(

    13. the woman and her husband at the end that also made me cry

    14. At long last, I got to see the movie. I have to admit it's pretty good. It wasn't that scary but it certainly has a spooky atmosphere. Some parts were a little bit confusing but overall, I liked the story. The ending was pretty sad.

Seeing Mina (the doll) kinda creeped me out. You see, I have a CH Soye and whilst my girl has a sweeter look, it still gave me mild shivers how similar they look.

As for a remake, I'd be interested in seeing it. Tho this might sound crazy but I actually hope they do NOT use BJDs for the remake. If my family saw that movie and then my dolls (especially Soye), they'd never let me live it down. I know my family already thinks my dolls are weird. I don't want this movie to add fuel to the fire.

    15. I really hope that they don't use any ABJDs or anything that look like them.
There are tons of people out there who are terrified of dolls, and the last thing that I would like if for even MORE people to be afraid of my momoko. I would like people to see the beauty in her, not the "hey I saw your creepy doll in that movie!".
I think that our dolls will get less respect, then.
Plus, the unknown, of seeing a doll that is completely unlike anything that they sell here in North America, what makes our dolls so interesting to the people who see them and aren't afraid.
Another thing: Advertising. If the movie does well, this means that there is a possibility of cheap american rip-off BJDs.

I'd rather just see a subbed version of the original!

    16. They could always cast Bratz dolls, instead.

But what are the odds of this movie being remade, seriously? This topic is quite old, wouldn't we have heard updates by now? Has the studio dropped their plans for a remake?

    17. I enjoyed the original, and even own it... Im usually very skeptical about remakes but I will see it anyway e_e

    18. I want to watch that movie so bad, can someone link me to it?

    19. I think its a really sad movie :(
