Dollmaster movie

o_0 i got this movie with my bbb ariel but i only turned it on for a few seconds to see if it was in english or something else.. but reading this thread really makes me want to watchit.. now i must.. i will return when im done o____o;;;

I bought this movie on ebay and it had great subtitles. Except they went out on the last 10 minutes of the movie when Mina and that guy were outside. 8(

I really enjoyed it. It made me see a new light in Asian horror flicks. It wasn't cheesy like most films of their calibre. It was easy to understand and it had a really good element to it. I like the interpretation that the dolls have souls when you adore them so much. I think mine wouldn't be mean since I treat her with the upmost love and respect as I do with all my other things.

This movie was really great. :3

First watched it a year ago... needless to say, made me feel kinda cosy inside. Except for the dropping/breaking/ripping/gouging/burning of dolls, it was great!

I'm glad I'm fluent in Korean- no subtitles needed for me!

I actually watched it again, like, about a month ago with my doll. Pretty cool to watch it again with a companion that got me some weird looks, especially at those scenes where BJDs are portrayed as 'alive' or stuff.

My personal favorite scene was when Demian moved to hug his beloved owner!

I also loved the 'wall of dolls' inside the mansion. And the clever dreaming head/ open-eyed head switch always makes me giggle!

In all, great movie.

some people seem to be talking about how cute the dolls are and protecting them and others are tlaking about how evil the dolls are and others keep saying poor mina!

anyone wanna explain the movie to me? i dont care if you spoil it cuz i dont have much patience for sub titles so i doubt ill ever get through it, unless it sounds interesting enough

i think it is possible they really did burn bjds. i cant remember exactly where i heard it but there is a tradition to burn your dolls at the end of the year and go buy new ones

here it is. at 54 seconds they talk about it. on september 25th ill be in mourning over the poor burned dolls!

ok i just finished it with Noodle.. wow.. it kinda scared me but at the same time it was nice to think they could have souls..
then i thought.. WHAT IF A PUKIPUKI CAME ALIVE?! omg that would be so cute!! and if mina's soul was as a child then would a Puki be like a midget? it would be adorible even if they did get mad and try to kill u.. "aaaw lookatchuuu with ur lil scarey fork!!" ~squeeee

i was kinda upset at the end cuz the version that junkyspot sent me didnt have any subtitels near the end >.< so i dont know what they say while the dolls are burning

Just as a point of interest: I'd think that they probably would've destroyed the dolls, unless they needed them for early scenes that they shot out of order, or something. Just because they're expensive doesn't mean it'd stop them - I tried to find a wiki link as an example, but I do know that action films like to destroy cars and things with high speed chases and explosions, so I wouldn't be surprised if they actually burnt/whatever the dolls.

It'd be interesting to find out what they did, though.

ya. well im pretty sure they did. cuz if you watch that youtube vid they have a doll burning festival every year. so if they are already used to it then it probably isnt as big of a deal as we all think it is (at least to them, i dont even have my doll yet and i'd freak if someone burned it lol)

what do you mean? why would/wouldnt it be? do you like scary movies?

 

Actually, there's a high quality and high def videos available too. If your not downloading it from Crunchyroll, it might be better to just go for high quality, rather than the higher def. Both are typically better quality than youtube videos.

I've been meaning to watch this. ^^ Even though I'm not a fan of horror movies..... I'm curious, I guess.

 

ya. i knew you could find it on other websights but i never download anything if i can help it (and i didnt want to recomend one that you had to download)
so i just clicked on a few links until i found one you dont have to download to watch. i watched part of it and the quality isnt that bad actually. its not great and there are a few parts where the screen goes rainbow for a few seconds but atleast you can understand it and the sound isnt slow or anything

 

Resurrecting a slightly old thread, but only because this is a good movie I just watched it online for free with subtitles! It was good...a little spooky, but not too bad. I'm sitting here chilling with one of my dolls now...she's so beautiful. But I couldn't be scared of her if I wanted...she has on a cat ear beanie!

But reading the 1st page, they're CH Dolls

Made me want a MNM of Mina(the girl)
