1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmaster movie

Aug 23, 2004

    1. well I'm ordering it. RIGHT now so I'll tell all of you how it is when I get it.

    2. Not completely offtopic, I wonder why Hollywood feels they need to "remake" every popular foreign movie? I almost cry when I saw the Ringu remake T__T (waaah! That's NOT MY Sadako!). I don't like how Hollywood does terror films lately, that's why I see asian and european films. Creativity and variety, the same things they are trying to kill with all these remakes. :cow

I hope Hollywood don't dare to touch Le Pacte des Loups *grumpy*.

    3. beacuse the USA has more money and money equals more effects thus better movie and more over paid actors who can't even act their way out of a bag made from rice paper.

and because the usa has run out of ideas.

    4. Mostly second reason than first, uh? :daisy

    5. the more explosions and nakked people the better teh movie * by usa standards*

and mmhmm with the ideas. or .. ''what ideas'

    6. Probably no-one in Hollywood understands Le Pacte des Loups enough to remake it.

But if they did, I would hope they'd still use Mark Dacascos as Mani. *sigh*

(Are they any BJD's who look like Mark Dacascos...?)

    7. Yes, they are. >_< It's a real shame that movie is really good. There's absolutely no need to remake it. I bet they'll be grabbing A tale of Two sisters next. :( That's if they haven't already grabbed it...

Now the ULTIMATE crime would be if they dared to remake Battle Royale. That I would NEVER forgive. I'm hoping that it's just too controversial for them to try to remake (because of the whole violence with school kids thing). The good thing is that Toei seems very, very reluctant to release the rights in the US...even for the original version. I hope they keep that up.

    8. if they re do Battle Royale... I will personaly start a group to boy cot the movie. that movie should never be touched. it is perfect as it is.

Battle Royale 2 on the other hand... *COUGH COUGH* :cow

    9. That's my only hope

      Hmmm...Dacascos...

About BR: GO GO TAKESHI! :D

    10. *cough* Annie-chan is sending me a bootleg copy, not that I just said that, or anything.

Anyway, this is really neat! I know, I know, the origional is always better, but this is awesome! :chibi As long as they keep the Asian dolls in, and not American ones, it should be fine.

    11. Oh - now Battle Angel Alita is being made into a live action movie:

      http://www.zap2it.com/movies/news/story/0,1259,---24270,00.html

Alita is going to be CG though based on a real actress - like Gollem in Lord of the Rings!

      This is probably completely OT - except that Aimee's Alita is named after Battle Angel Alita. ^^;

    12. Another thing, if they do use BJDs, even ones made by the special effects guys, it would give BJDs a lot of mainstream exposure. I mean, it's not likely the movie would become a huge hit or anything, but many people who would have never heard about BJDs would be seeing them in preveiws and such.

Still hope they use the Ai. Wonder if they'd made new ones or use just the ones that were in the first movie in that case, though. Hmm...

    13. appleseed is coming out as a movie. total eye candy from what i have seen.

    14. Wouldn't it be cool to be able to get an Ai based on the American movie...? :D

    15. It would! Well, unless they were somehow awful looking, but usually I like the Ai. Like those new event Ai. Those are pretty cool.

    16.
    17. Actually i heard that some movie bigwig types are actually talking about an american remake of A tale of two sisters.

      Rachie

    18. NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! IS NOTHING SACRED??!!!!

      Rachie

    19. lets go to holly wood and protest the making of any more asian remakes.
