Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Dollmore Alex Doll from Gu Mi-Jeong

Dec 10, 2010

    1. Yes Deb, there is a whole inch difference in the waist and hips, and bust, that doesn't sound like a lot but it is for dolly clothes. I would think it would be more like an Iplehouse situation, some things that fit loosely anyway will be fine, but pants will never button.

    2. I think she's a bit big for me too, although I'd like to find out irl! Xen, thanks for the pic of Seola on the body, I think I prefer the Leeke head, it looks more in proportion to me. Although I do love the original Alex head too.

    3. Been going through rough times lately and its a good day today when my Late Christmas present arrived. I do hope I can keep her. Here is a picture with an Sd outfit on and a curley wig...she looks like Shirley Temple!~ She has no name yet but surely I will think of one, no pun intended.

    5. I love her curvy legs and those shoes look great on her, she surely does resemble Shirley! *heh*

I hope you get to keep her too, and that things improve for you guys!!

    6. She's wonderful!! I love her Shirley look!!

    7. Congrats Gloria - she is lovely and I do hope you can keep her! I love her Shirley look - I would never have thought of that but it fits her perfectly! I just realized your address is "Indiana wheatfield". Mine is " (Indiana) cornfield" - it's great to find another 'Hoosier' - I thought I was the only one!!!

    8. Hi! Are the alex dolls limited? I hope not, because I'm planning on buying alexia soon!

    11. Milonga, your girl is so pretty with her new face up!
      Lovely!

    12. I love her!! Such a gorgeous girl!!

    13. Wow, she's stunning, and so grown-up looking!

    14. Lexi arrived last Monday. And it finally warmed up enough that I could airbrush her body and give a manicure! The dress I made for her fit perfectly. I did not do anything too fitted, as I was not sure of her large waist and hips.

She is one of the most unusual bjds I own. I am still not quite sure what to think of her. She is hard to photograph. I am not fond of her default painting. (I do love the way Milonga painted her girl.) Her resin is lighter than I thought, although lovely and so well sanded. After the blushing, she does look better.

Her body makes it difficult for me to use as a standard MSD for my sweaters. She does fit my next Free Quarterly Pattern just fine. Look for that in April. For her bottom half, I will have to draft up special patterns. I have the top half of her fitted just fine.

My only real complaint is shoes. The best I have on hand is a pair from ReleaseRain, a standard Mary Jane type in SD size. However, the only color I have is silver, not good! I looked through ebay to see if she has more of this style and could not find any. I do not like her in high heels as she is hard enough to stand correctly and the heels only add to the problem. I will continue to look and see what I can find for her.

I hope to get more photos of her and put them on my Doll Gallery section of my website.

    15. Well it all sounds like normal 'new doll' pains, all part of the fun of a whole new size! ^^;; She looks great!
I love the idea that she has SD sized feet, I don't like too-dainty feet anyway... I look forward to seeing more pics in your gallery!

    16. I spent most of my day photographing Lexi in clothes I have on hand that fit, well for the most part. Still not sure I really like her. But I did make her a page on my Doll Gallery. I probably won't post any more here until I have something new for her. As you can see I do have just one pair of shoes she can wear, but not with socks, so that is no fun! I love socks, especially colorfully coordinated ones that match outfits. So I am on the hunt!

    17. I'm sorry you are having a hard time with her. I think she's gorgeous!!

    18. Just wanted to jump in (and up and down!) to share the good news that Alexia arrived at my studio last week. I am totally smitten with her! I Love Love Love her body and serene facial sculpt.
Trying on some of my DT elf prototypes...a few garments "almost fit" but the feeling of the DT elf clothes is different.
Do you think there would be enough interest in a pattern for Alexia? Maybe some basic shapes, just to help with the fitting, with plenty of room for interpretation?

    19. Elnuyn85, ravendolls, DancingBee, dollswest, thanke you!

I think my Alex is not little girl
