Dollmore Judith Girls discussion part 1

I'm the same way, Kielin, and if I could swithch out the bodies of my two girls I would ;P In my clan they're adults with the others 'cause that's how they have to fit in, and I fell in love with them, LOL ;P

 

If anyone is going to suede their Judith, I recommend not doing the knee joints. The rest are fine, but the knees need all the room they have to lock, so when you put even the thinnest layer on, they wont lock and just fall over. @.@

Spent all day trying to fix Aubreigh.

Yeah, I got her all sueded good. I did all her torso parts, her head, and all the arm parts, but only the ankles for her legs. The rest of the leg joints seem to just mess it up. oO

Mostly the problem I'm having right now is the tension in her legs. I looked up "the right amount of elastic" for legs, but when I do that, she's too tight and can't stand. But if I make it looser, she's too floppy and can't stand. o________________________o I gave up for the time being and I'm just gonna have someone help me find the right tension for her, since it doesn't seem to be the "normal" amount.

You'll definitely need to do her torso. There are "locks" on the top of all the torso joints, but not on the bottom of the tummy one, so it seems to slip back, no matter how tight or loose they are. As soon as I sueded that part though, it's perfect. It helps to do it on the parts that have the locks too, since they seem to not always catch.

The arms and head helped a lot too. For some reason it's just the knee joints that went all funny.

I like the green eyes in her, it's very pretty with the make-up and matches the hair well too.

Oooh, and she's the same one as Aubreigh. Aubreigh turned 1 on Feb 10th.

Hey everyone, I'm not familiar with how Dollmore runs things but do you guys know if they would ever release a non LE of Judith? I'm looking into one for one of my characters but I'm not in love with the LE ones still available.

Also by any chance does anyone have a Leeke wig on their Judith? Which size would she take? the D or the M.

 

I doubt it. But try the market. My Judith has a non-stock face-up and I think she looks completely different than the original.





I got her for $200 on the MP back in December. o3o

Sorry, no Leeke wig. But I can check if you still need to know if anyone has one at the next meet-up I go to. She has a 7 1/2" head though, if that helps.

 

oooh! SHe's beautiful. The sculpt is so pretty. I really do want one but I think I will either wait for one that is the right price on the MP or for a new LE to come out because while the Judith Zinna's are lovely they don't fit what I'm looking for. I would wipe her face either way but even the clothes don't work for the girl I imagine.

Thanks for the info on the head size. I'm trying to figure out which wig size to get her but I think most likely a M (7-8) from Leeke would be good

 

You can always sell the clothes. LE outfits can fetch a pretty penny. Then it'll make up for the cost of the doll a little. I think I'm going to sell some of my Skuld's set, but most of it fits with what I had in mind for her. I only have Aubreigh's full set cape though, being second-hand and all. I would have liked more of hers.

Yeah, 7/8 fits good. Just depends, I have two 'store bought' wigs for her and they both run on the 8 of 7/8 so they are a little big. But I mostly just make her custom wigs anyway.

The clothes are the hard part. o___o Not much fits Judiths, their butts and chests are so big. I don't have any store bought MSD stuff for her to try on, but I have a few SD stuff that actually fits her. oO It's hit and miss really. I've been wanting to have an ongoing Judith swap, but I was waiting for the new ones to come in before I try to plan anything.

 

Ah, I thought about it but then the Judith girls are such an odd build that it's hard isn't it to get their clothes to fit most other MSDs? I figure that their clothes probably won't sell easily. However I suppose I could always offer a split?

I'm pretty much going to have her wearing separates or making her clothes. Good thing she's nots going to be much into pants either way lol. I'll probably end up buying most of her wardrobe from dollmore anyway. However she is much more a modern girl then a flowy gown kind of girl.

I'm making a group of teenage looking MSD androids but I want this particular one to be taller and curvier. Her sculpt is also pretty much perfect. Hopefully one will pop up on the MP for a good price!
