Dollmore Judith Girls discussion part 1

Well, yes, BUT I know of a good handful of people that like all of the current outfits (myself included). So it's not like I have enough money to buy all 3 girls, but I could theoretically buy the 2 remaining outfits. There are a fair amount of Judiths out there, so someone might want it. And it depends on the outfit, if it's say a skirt it'll probably fit an MSD. Shoes and hair wear would fit. It would just be pants and tops that might be off.

I make pants for Aubreigh a bunch, as long as you get stretchy material, they'll fit fine. Dollmore will also tailor any of their outfits to the right size if you ask them ahead of time. Cause they only have 1 Judith outfit right now and it kind of sucks. D:

Aubreigh dresses pretty moden. Natashah (Skuld) is going to be a gown type.

I think there might be some soon. I've heard that the Dollmore white is EXTERMELY white, so maybe or maybe not, but some people might not like it as much, since the pictures don't really reflect that. You might get lucky. I wasn't even looking for one and I found it!

A good tip, use swimwear and/or dancewear material. It's about $15 a yard at Joann's, but the swimwear is shiny looking so it works well in gowns and fancy stuff, and the dancewear looks good for t-shirts and the like. But they are REALLY stretchy. I've gotten most of mine via remnants and I haven't run out of any yet. I use it in almost everything I make her. The stretch helps move it over her bum.

You just can't do a zig-zag stitch on it. oO It gets sucked into the machine. But I do a stitch that is 3 stitches right next to each other. And that holds it really well. And it doesn't fray, like at all.

Kielin I LOVE that face-up. I am jealous. XD I fully intend to change my girls face one day as well. Just, not right now.

Invie; Well, when I get mine in, I'll take a picture of them together for you so you can see the difference between the tones on the sculpt.

And I saw someone use a very tiny amount of red + peach dye to dye their doll a NS-P once. I think I might eventually do that to Aubreigh since she's losing her pink and gaining some yellow. But it probably wouldn't be for a long while.

She's absolutely wonderful! Her size is just perfect and she poses so well I don't think I'll suede her at all. ^_^ Her torso flops from time to time, but not enough to be bothersome, and her arms and legs can keep nearly any pose.

Dollmore's face-up is very delicate and the eyelashes are beautiful. I'd love to show you, but I didn't have time to upload any pics yet. >_< Also, the poor girl needs clothes: the gown is even nicer than I thought (it's quite detailed and the various fabrics are all so soft!), but definitely not her style. She currently wears a pair of MSD-sized leggings from Dollmore and, strangely enough, a sleeveless shirt I made for a 60cm guy. XD

I guess I'll have to sell the outfit to get her some stuff!

 

Can you post a picture of her boots? I still want to know what they look like and Dollmore just tells me they are black boots. xD

I'd totally buy the outfit off you, but I has no money~

EDIT: That reminds me too, I won an Air Force jacket for SDs at the last meet-up I went to, and since I only have Aubreigh, I tried it on her, and her ginormous chest made it fit her quite well. xD The people at the meet thought it was funny.

What kind of style does your new Judith girl have?

 

These are the boots that came with her. Not her style either: I barely unpackaged one. >_< The wig is a perfect fit, though! I thought it would just be blonde, but it has a really special color, quite a bit like a glow-in-the-dark toy.

From what I figured so far, my little Urd is named Kiya and despite her ethereal, ghostly appearance, she likes sporty, comfortable modern clothes. The moment I got her out of the box, she started taking all sorts of really kinetic poses, never looking poised or static, so I figured she wouldn't be the type to wear stuff that would restrain her movements. ^_^

Here are the pics I took on the day of her arrival, after sanding and blushing her. She's wrapped in one of my scarves, for lack of anything better. ^_^;; (I think I'll start sewing this week-end... XD)

 

Oooh, I like those, those are cute. I am happy now.

Oooh, I have this fabric, it is a silk that is light purple gradient to grey, a cute modern top made out of that would look AMAZING on her. Like this, or maybe this.

She looks very happy.

Aubreigh has never really looked "happy". But a few days ago I was sewing her a purple dress, and she was sitting next to me on the couch, and she looked pretty happy when I looked down.

You're right, Kielin: Kiya really looks happy! She has that irresistibly cute expression that makes me feel like picking her up and bringing her everywhere. She nearly accompanied me to work today, but since I wasn't sure I'd be alone at the office, I ended up leaving her behind. T_T

Your top ideas would look great on the Judith body~!

I selected a few fabrics and I hope I can put something together for Kiya this week-end. I might just need to make her a top or a short dress to wear over her stripy leggings...

It's funny: I live with 3 mini girls and none of them fit in regular MSD clothes (there's Kiya, then Oska, who is an Iplehouse JID Tatiana, then Dash, a MNF Shushu on an Obitsu 50cm body). With their different bodies (not to mention their somewhat different styles), I'm not sure how much they'll be able to trade clothes...

 

Yeah. I've taken Aubreigh to the Mall before. And I'm taking her to my grandparents' house today. I've also taken her to work, and on a walk around town.

I want to make Aubreigh shorts, but I don't feel like dealing with that right now. x___x
