1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmore Judith Girls discussion part 1

Dec 31, 2010

    1. OMGOMG.

What if... they made a Judith that was Trinity sized. o:
I would so totally buy that.
      It would be freaking awesome.

    2. Hi all, I'm hoping some Judith owners will be able to help me out with some information.
I have a Judith doll that I've enjoyed for the past year. But after looking at her in the same outfit the whole time I would really love to get her a few new outfits :) Sadly I haven't been able to find any official outfits second hand or anyone to commission on the marketplace that will sew for the rather busty Judith body. Anyone have any ideas as to where I could look?

    3. Thank you so much for asking about this. I was just coming here to ask about clothing, also!

I have a Dollmore Judith (body)/Dreaming Doll Misora (head) hybrid on the way. She's coming in a custom outfit, but I would love to know of other options for clothing for her. Any input would be very appreciated!

    4. I wish you luck in your hunting branmufffin I don't know if you got any friendly help messages (I got 3 in less than an hour!) but so far the main answer has been "I make my own clothing." So I'm a bit down since my sewing skills are useless without a good pattern.

    5. Thank you, I appreciate the luck! Unfortunately, I hadn't received any messages yet, but thanks for letting me know what you're hearing. :) That is a bummer for me as well as I have very little experience with making doll clothes at all. I have been wanting to learn, though, so maybe this will encourage me to be a little more adventurous with sewing. From doing a bit of research with measurements, I am hoping maybe I'll be able to use some of the leggings/pants that I already own for my other two MSD dolls that are a bit stretchy - it's just knowing that she's so busty that is causing concern. I know from having other types of dolls and obitsus, a larger bust can make for a tricky fit!

    6. Branmuffin; You are getting my friend's judith. :)

And yeah, you pretty much need to make your own.
You CAN get them from Dollmore however.

You can email them with links to their clothings (any size), and they can make it for you in Judith size for a small fee.
So you could get like Model Doll F clothing in Judith size, etc.

I have a pair of pants that are custom sized from them and they are pretty nice.

    7. Really?! That's so awesome! It's a small world in the doll world sometimes! =D I really love the Misora sculpt, and after doing research here and seeing pictures of the Judith body, I was pretty much sold! And you know you really love a doll when you can't quit checking up on her to see if she's still available and I kept doing that, so I just knew I was going to have to get her! lol So, long story short, I am *very* excited about her joining the family!

I think I had read that elsewhere - that you're able to get the custom made clothes in Judith size for a small fee. I was hoping there might be other, similar sized dolls out there for some different clothing options but at least now I know I am able to get some things through Dollmore and that's really good news for the sewing impaired! I'm also glad to know that you really liked what you purchased through them! =)

I've also just found a really helpful thread on here that that's got some good links to beginner sewing projects and I'm feeling really excited now to give some of them a try, too (I'll post for anyone else interested):

Thanks so much for posting/replying and you'll have to tell your friend hello from me! =)

    8. Hello!
On the subject of Judith girl clothes... It's not impossible to find MSD stuff that fits them. Short sleeved shirts and blouses made for non-slim minis have been a pretty good fit for mine, especially if they are made of a material with a little give. Clothes made for boys are usually ok too if you like a tomboy look, they usually have longer leg length so longer pants work better than ones made for girls and have room for those big hips. Some shorts and skirts with a little stretch have fit mine well but girl pants are generally too short, unless you want to tuck them Into boots or something. Avoid anything made for "slim" minis as they usually don't fit. If you aren't afraid to do some minor tailoring, you can make even those fit though. I fit my girl into an Ellowyne Wilde dress by adding some corset paneling in the back. It isn't a hopeless cause!

Here is Nemesis in the default SDC Arashi outfit:

    9. That's how Aubreigh was, I was checking up on her constantly.

And yeah, boy stuff tends to fit, sometimes you can get "slim SD" clothing (short sleeve tops/skirts or shorts) to fit them.

    10. So I just got curious and pulled out a ton of my non-slim MSD clothes to try on Nemesis, who played indignant model for me. Here's what I found: Girl shirts with any stretch at all fit snugly and some showed a little midriff. Halters work fine! dresses tend to work well, she fit great in dresses from dollmore MSD, Volks, cherish doll, and sugarmag. Just about anything with elastic waistbands tend to work well. She looked good in a pair of stretch pleather pants. Leggings work fine. Boy clothes fit consistently.

Stuff that did NOT fit: bodysuits, tight shirts with no stretch, slim mini stuff, things that conform to the body (i.e. corsets) girl pants/shorts with no stretch.
So! Pretty good results, I would say!

    11. Please give Nemesis a hug for me! This post has been so helpful! :) Thank you so much for this information! I hadn't even considered male clothing. That could be a really good option for pants, especially for jeans and some other bottoms that are gender neutral. Yes, I'd say the results are very promising! Thank you so much, again!

    12. I'm getting so impatient waiting for my two new Judith girls to ship. I want them here nooooow.

    13. Does anyone have a Zaoll as well?
I was just thinking about it, and they aren't much bigger, which made me wonder if Zaoll clothes would fit Judiths.

    14. I actually wondered about the zaoll clothes as well, but sadly do not own one and can't confirm if it would work.

    15. @Kielin That's so exciting that you've got two new girls on the way! Which dolls did you order?

I also have great news - my girl has arrived \o/ I've had a TON of fun shooting pics of her and posing her. I feel she is much more poseable than either of my other dolls. Though, to be fair, I was very happy with the way my other dolls pose, but, just.. really, WOW, Judith bodies are great at posing and the Judith body is so curvy and cute. She's also got her toes and nails painted and that's a really lovely touch. I love her to pieces!! <3 I also think I've finally decided on a name. I've had her a few days and really wasn't sure what sort of name I wanted because I was still trying to work out her personality and background, but I feel like I might go with "Piper" and I think that seems to suit her! ^_^

....and here's a pic, too! I just have to show her off:

Also, I wish I could help out on the Zaoll question, but I don't own any so I can't. Hopefully someone will come along who could help answer ^_^

    16. Minuet Eve Tara and Amaranth White Zinna.

I emailed Dollmore on Friday asking if there was any updates for my order, and they said it would be delayed until sometime in September. Dx
I was hoping to have them for my birthday, but it sounds like they will ship after. ):

    17. The Loongsoul clothes fit well, too.
I have a Loongsoul Elsa and I changed the clothes with my Judith.
      It goes in both ways.

    18. anything that fits old souldoll soul kids will fit Judith ^_^ Your tan girl is so cute!!!
