Dollmore Judith Girls discussion part 1

Congrats! If you want to make her fit in more, just take the 14mm eyes that she comes with out and put in some 12mm. The Arasa says 10mm, but I haven't tried that in any of my Judiths, so I can't say how that will look outside of promo pictures. But I personally think the 14s are a little big for them so mine get 12s when I find cute ones.

Yup. Before it used to be like 4 months, but mine came in already. So it was about a month.
I do love her outfit, definitely one of my favorites.

Wow, that was fast! She looks different wearing a brown wig. I like it. Is her outfit blue? It looks silvery gray in the promo pics.

Could you post a close-up of her wearing the 12mm eyes when she gets them? The 14mm make her look like her eyes are half-closed, so I'm curious to see how the 12mm look. Thanks!

 

Yeah, I think she looks much cuter with the brown.
Yeah. Dollmore has a tendency to over-shop their photos. Heck, that wig is supposed to like this: http://www.dollmore.net/shop/step1.php?number=9683 , it's not too bad in the pictures, but in real life it's a lot lighter and more of an ashy color. But I still like it.

I'll try to remember to take a picture tomorrow with some different eyes.

 

So Dollmore over-shops their photos, huh? I'll keep that in mind the next time I fall in love with a color on their site. So much for the concept of truth in advertising!

Thanks for adding the eye pics. Did you label them correctly? The 14mm default look smaller than the 12mm and 10mm.

I was missing my Zinna, Nemesis, so I took her out to do a photoshoot... Stumbled into a nesting ground of mosquitos x_x I don't think I've ever been bit by so many bugs before in my life. Only managed to get a few pics before I couldn't stand it any more... Lol I think Nems found sadistic amusement in my situation. Being made of resin has it's perks when it comes to biting insects.

Anywho I have to check if any of the photos actually turned out decent. Not holding my breath lol. If I got a good one I will post it here.

 

It's weird. Mosquitoes don't bother some people. With other people they take one look and ring the dinner bell. I don't know how you managed to take any photos at all, because I would have been out of there at first bite. I expect to see a cloud of mosquitoes in your photos!

 

By all rights there SHOULD be a cloud of mosquitos in the photos as I saw plenty of them in the frame when I was shooting... But I just checked them and aparently they don't show up in the shots haha. I'm slightly disappointed because they might have looked kind of cool and creepy

 

Yeah, the ones that come with her are kind of odd. D:
They even have a bunch of patterns on them, haha. They aren't just normal blue eyes.

Oh goodness! If the bites itch, try some Witch Hazel on them. It's helped mine in the past.

I was out for a photoshoot the other night and stumbled on to something worse. Had two of my girls out trying to take pictures and I hear this noise and turn around to find a bunch of raccoons invading my backyard. So I grabbed them and booked it into the house.
Needless to say, the 2 pictures I took before they showed up did not end up coming out. D: I did not have enough time to adjust my camera to properly take pictures in the darkness.

Cool photo, Affinite, even without a cloud of mosquitoes. Is that a decorative metal fence? It's kind of eerie with the skeleton behind it.

@Kielin, I would have spirited my dolls away from racoons, too!

 

Actually it's a small bird cage, the skeleton is inside. You can kind of tell here (although the photo is not great lol)

 

My dolls? Heck, I didn't want to be near raccoons.
Got a lot of other stuff to do, don't need rabies on top of it. o.o

Pretty neat. Looks like of light out to have mosquitoes though.

Yeah it was definitely too much light for mosquitoes but I accidentally wandered into their nesting grounds and disturbed them. Otherwise I think it'd have been fine.

Also, MORE SUNTAN ZINNAS!! YES!!!! (I am only slightly biased lol) You absolutely must spam pics!!!!!!!

 

Ah okay. Didn't know they did nests. Odd.

I always get bit by them when I do outdoor photoshoots, but that's cause my backyard is a pond. x.x

The contest is ongoing, they pick a winner every 2 months. (The heading hasn't updated in like a year or two, but they do a news bulletin with the winners, so they are still doing it.)
So I've entered a lot, usually when I get a new Judith I put more up. Once I get this next one in I will have to do a big group photo.

Not decided what to name her yet. I am thinking either Makena or Thalia. Also Hadley is on the list, but I think I might end up going with Makena.

 

Those names are really cute! I like Makena as well, but the other two are also cute.
