1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmore Judith Girls discussion part 1

Dec 31, 2010

    1. @kurtik - Ah, I thought it looked familiar. I had thought of buying that gray dress for my Zaoll Luv. Did you get it recently? I only ask because they posted a notice on October 19th to the effect that they will no longer do custom sizing on doll clothes. They didn't give a reason; I can only assume they received more requests than they could handle. They could at least compensate us by producing more clothing that fits Judith girls.

    2. I`ve made my order befor this Dollmore notice. Now I can only regret, that they don`t custom sizing on doll clothes. I ordered for Judith two dresses: this SD gray and Model doll black.
I did the installation "Sin City" with Dรถrtje Elverdink and Model doll Malli Adelhaid:

    3. Thanks! I`m very glad to here it.

    4. I stumbled by accident over dollmore's ballet kid line and I instantly fell in love with it! I'm doing ballett, too, so that was kind of predictable :XD: Especially your Zinnas you posted here look beautiful!

Thing is I just ordered a Loongsoul SD sized girl fullset (Antje, she is so lovely) and then a YoSD Kids Sky girl, because it was such a good price (116$ with face up instead of 150$ at Alice Collections). So, I really don't have any money left at the moment...
But: My birthday is nearing and I told my parents that I wanted the Ballerina Kid Brise Zinna. They agreed so far, but I have not jet told them the price :sweat
Hopefully they don't withdraw their consent once they hear it. They do know about my expensive hobby here, but they don't understand how anyone would spend so much money on dolls ^^ยฐ.

    5. @Miyuki-chan - Good luck with your parents! Ballerina Brise Zinna is lovely. I wish Dollmore would sell ballerina outfits separately from the dolls. My Pirouette Zinna could use a change of clothes!

    6. @vermont chick Yes it worked, I ordered the doll yesterday and my mum will give me the money back (she doesn't have paypal lol). I can't wait to get my hands on her! She will be my first MSD sized doll, so no clothes for her jet. It is sad they don't sell the ballerina clothes separately, I would love to have more of them. Especially, because the shoes she comes with are black and I would like to have them in some colour (pink would be best). I think I will email dollmore about it and ask them if I could pleeease order some ballerina clothes from them

    7. Congrats on the order! :thumbup MSD is a lovely size, but the ballet legs take some getting used to. I sometimes have trouble posing mine. I bought a lovely stand from Alice's Collections BJD Accessories, Dolls - Alice's Collections. It's called an invisible stand and lets you pose the doll off the ground as if she is in mid-leap.
Dollmore does sell the ballet shoes in other colors, but there are no outfits to go with them.:(

    8. Oh you are right, there are more ballerina shoes, I totaly overlooked them. Maybe I can add one pair to my previous order, I emailed them about it and asked if it was possible to get more ballett clothes. But I think it won't, as they were all limited editions :|
I'm really excited to see these ballett feet, but I ordered a pair of normal feet, too, just in case. And I thought about getting that invisible stand from Alice Collections, though I had hoped the stand dollmore sends with Brise Zinna would be good enough...
Do you have any more pics of your ballerina girl, vermont chick, to sweeten my wait? :XD:

    9. @Miyuki-chan - I also ordered the normal feet, just in case, but have never used them. Instead I used them on one of my other Judiths for a short time. She's back on her high heel feet now.

I was never able to use the stand Dollmore provided. The two pieces didn't fit together. In fact, the upper part doesn't fit the bottoms of any of my other stands. So I figured if I needed to buy a new stand anyway, I'd get a good one.

I had to go back to 2015 to find any photos of Pirouette Zinna. I really should take more. Here is a photo of her in a different Dollmore MSD outfit. It's not technically a ballet costume but it was wide enough to accommodate a split.:XD: I repainted her shortly after I received her. Her face-up looked beautiful online, but in person the combination of yellow and green made her look like she was recovering from two black eyes. One of these days I'll wipe her and try again to see if I can do better.

    10. @vermont chick Wow she is so beautiful and the posing is awesome :love
I was a bit nervous because of Zinnas open mouth, but seeing the pictures here have convinced me of it. The only drawback us the tiny bust size they use on their ballerina and kid bodies, a bit more mature like the Judith body would have been even better. On the other hand it must be easier to find clothes for kids bodies than for Judith bodies.

    11. @Miyuki-chan - Thank you!
The adjustable tooth piece makes the mouth very versatile. I like the less toothy look myself.
I also prefer a slightly larger bust. On the other hand, most professional ballerinas tend to be skinny and underdeveloped so the flat chest actually works. And you're right. It is easier to dress them than the Judith bodies. The only consideration is finding clothes that won't hinder her moves.

    12. I so wish they sold the clothing separately. Dx

    13. It is cute, but like you say, somewhat childish. It looks good on the doll shown, but on a Zinna? I don't know.

    14. I found a ballerina outfit in my clothing stash. It's one I made years ago for a Mini Supia and I was delighted to find that it fits Zinna. (More or less. It rides up when I pose her, so the top ends up hovering above her shoulders.) In the photo below you can see the flexible doll stand from Alice's Collections. I wish it were more invisible. The waist grips are, but that chrome arm doesn't exactly disappear. You can twist and turn it like a goose-neck lamp. I'll have to try a leaping pose. Maybe today as I have some sunshine to work with.

    15. Your Zinna looks absolutely stunning in that dress and pose! And I suppose I have to get a decent doll stand after all. But maybe after the three orders from Alice Collections I'm currently waiting for have arrived, and a bit of saving so I can add a few clothes and accessories :3nodding:

    16. You might enjoy seeing a photo in mid-leap after I used Photoshop to erase the stand. (I'm noticing that her hands have faded. I might get her some Judith hands to replace them--I like those better.)

    17. That's a cute outfit!

I need to find a nice outfit because I got the one-off ( Dollmore.net :: Everything for Doll & more ) and she didn't come with clothing. I ordered a dress from Dollmore for her last month, but I don't know how well it will fit her character. We shall see.

I also ordered a Zinna head and hands for my Tara. Hopefully I will like her more with those.

    18. Thanks @Kielin. The dress is actually a re-working of a Gracefaerie pattern for MSD called Lilac Afternoon. I left off the sleeves (they weren't much to begin with) and replaced the 3-tiered skirt with scads of tulle. The ballet shoes are from Dollmore--of course--and I think the tights were, too, although I can't be sure.

Which dress did you order for your one-off?
