    1. oh man...gloves on jointed hands wold make me have a nervous breakdown, I think. If Noé ever does get gloves, they're going on his static hands for sure.

      lol yeah...I was pretty sure DM wouldn't replicate the HBC faceup, but I don't think I'd want it to look exactly like that, anyway. I'm just going for a soft, natural look rather than the plastered-with-makeup look. The character this Luv is going to be the avatar for is quite tomboy-ish and doesn't wear makeup. On Luv's sales page it says you can ask for 'specific makeup style' so maybe it's possible. I think I'll just send them an email and ask. :)

      Your faceups always look great, so I can see why you don't get the company ones. :love If I had the skills to translate my vision into reality, I'd never get company faceups or custom-by-artist faceups either.

      I know what you mean about some double-jointed dolls. I'm in the process of 'reorganizing' (am I allowed to say that?) collection at the moment because of certain dolls/bodies that I have. I like multiple-part torsos if they're made well and move smoothly and naturally, but I have to say I do like some companies' two-piece torsos A LOT (particularly Souldoll). Some of the Spiritdoll bodies have a single-piece torso and they are very pretty. I think I would miss the flexibility, though.

      As for me, Haneol is on his way home. I finished his layaway 2 days ago and it's just now hitting me what's happening. A face that I've only been able to gaze at on a screen will be here and mine. oWo I am terrified I will not be able to do him justice. I have been technically able to buy him for a year now but I never felt ready, and the second it just dawns on me that I am ready to bring him home, he is sold out. Not only sold out, but destroyed. XD Something tells me it had to happen this way. He may be here monday and I may just stare at the delivery box making odd noises for a while... (can you tell I'm excited? >_> )

      I might have to restring him before long, as he is very tight. >.< But that'll give me a chance to change his hands to the smaller pair. The default hands are really pretty too, but they're a bit too big for my tastes. =P

      SapphireStargazer ~ Since we were discussing jointy hands - thanks to another thread, I followed a link to this tutorial on wiring jointed hands -- which looks to be much better than how I've done it (which failed!) SO if you're interested....I plan on trying this when I get home. It can't hurt!

      But with way better hair (Poor Alex - DM was out of every blond wig....he had to have grey XD for a long time, until I finally got good enough to find him blond) He's so cute and new *sobs*

      And lol that must be the new shirt they come with....Seven had that on, with the boxers. He sat in them for weeks. I just thought they were so cute....

    9. I love him. ^.^ Haven't played with him a whole lot yet, but he's sat curled up in my lap several times over the last couple days. =P I was gonna take him outside and get some pics after work today, but was too lazy. xD
      The wig is actually from BlueBloodDoll. ^^ I think it's a tiny bit too big, but with the wig cap on it's not really noticeable.
      And yup, white tank top and brown (polka dot!) boxers. XD He only wore them for one day and overnight, though. =P

      petiteballerine: Congrats :) Those tattoos are so fascinating. ^.^ No idea about the timing, though, sorry. ^^

    10. Oh, that's great! I already have correct wire too (26g jewelry wire FTW!) I never seriously thought of wiring Noé's hands because I only really think of wire as a posing aid rather than a stabilizer, and Noé's hands pose just fine. It just takes ages to get them right lol. I think the wire is an excellent idea, though. I might try this at some point. :)

      Noé has his static hands on again, and I'm pleased to report that the sueding of his elbows has fixed the arm mobility and 'snapping elbow' issues. I sueded him back when he first got his jointed hands and he hasn't had his static hands on since then - until yesterday - but even with the static hands on, he's got really great elbow motion now. And no more 'snapping elbow'! =D


      Congrats on finishing off your layaway, petiteballerine! That's pretty exciting! The last time I had a layaway with Dollmore, the shipping was about two weeks after I paid off the final payment. It took about 6 days to reach me from the date it was shipped. So...about three weeks in total. I don't know if that's the same for every order.

      I paid my Keskin Yarn Sae off a bit early, and had to wait a month or two before he was sent out.
      I have six more payments to go on Fillmore, the chocolate tattoo NK. I wish I could swing Mr Blue too! These guys are soooooo cool!
      Hopefully your guy will get home quickly! I'm anxious to see him!

      He is here and I cried several times in the process of receiving him, putting him all together, and finally mustering up the will to give him a face up. His beauty is just unnreaallll I can't even. So sorry for just flippin out all over this poor thread but I can't contain my love for him! XD I think I went a little heavy on the "make-up" tho so eventually I will probably redo it, he has to be perfect. This is also a temporary wig but it gives him an appropriately angelic look.

      Congrats to everyone else on their new and incoming dollies as well! ;v; Hope to see plenty of em in the thread!

Noé has a friend ;) Her name is Scarlett and she's OT for this thread, but Noé wanted you all to meet her and you know... any excuse to spam you all with pictures of Noé... ;) I put his static hands back on him, and look at those lovely elbows in that slightly-more-than-90-degree position! His friend still needs A LOT of work, but once she's done I imagine she and Noé will be seen together rather frequently around here. ;)

      Here's a legitimate question though: what size of clothing fits Model M's? I want to say clothes labeled as "hound" size... does that work? How about SD17?

      Also, the model F heel feet actually fit on my Haneol XD It looks weird but it actually works and he stands very solidly in his awesome boots.

    17. Is he the regular Model M body or the Glamour? Noé is on the regular body and he wears SD17 size and "70cm" size clothes. I got stuff for him from Alice's collections in 70cm size and it fits him really nicely, as does his SD17 size suit from Pink Fantasy. His t-shirts are mostly generic 70cm size as well, although he can also wear some 1/3 size t-shirts as he is quite skinny and sleeve length isn't an issue with t-shirts.

      Yeah, these guys are a bit of a learning curve, and sueding is the magic cure for those snappy elbows. :)

    18. He's on the regular model M body~ I got him a model F Shirt in my latest order for his feet and shoes (I couldn't stand the enormous man-feet for his character XD) and it fits well. I want to get him really fancy clothing though so before I lay down the cash, I would like to know that it fits well. :p I have just received his proper wig too, pics to come!

      Thanks for the info! I said earlier, but Noe and his lady friend look perfectly suited for each other. ;D

      Already Villereale is getting into trouble within days of coming home. Villers don't touch that, that ain't your man!

      He's just amazing, I don't normally get the whole "he looks so different in owner pics than on Dollmore" but seriously you did the best job on his face. I can't even. A million congrats!! (latelatelate)

      And on the topic of clothes -- I've been trying everything on my Glamor Model that I can get my hands on and so far he fits into "hound" size as easily as my actual Hound...Why I've been crying about not being able to find him clothes....well, it could be that there aren't any clothes out there that work for the Metatron character.

      However, if you want a Sherlock or Khan the world is yours. I totally recommend the body for those Natrume heads.

    20. Thanks so much VampireAngel13 ;A; He is such a stunning beauty, I have since ordered him an exceedingly fancy outfit. We are waiting for that now u_u I also spent more on his shoes than I ever would for myself. I want him to be perfect. XD

      And yeah, my glamor models seem to fit just fine into SD17. :U My Victor Lou is wearing an SD17 Volks suit and I couldn't believe it fit him. The pants are short of course but everything fits fine.
