1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmore Large Dolls Discussion Thread (all sizes) - Part 2

May 2, 2014

1. I posted this on the Nayuta Kenzo discussion but there are more tattooed Dollmore dolls so I thought I'd post it here too.

You know all those sealants they say "do not use on dolls because whatever you seal will stay forever". Well, I sealed Azure with one but not before he had scrapes on him. Before I sprayed I found close color match in prismacolor color pencils, it's a cool gray, and I colored in some of the scuffed spots. After spraying he has a lovely tooth and I'm not worried that moving him around will damage him more.

Sometimes the wrong thing is the right one.

Wish I'd thought of it sooner.

2. New boy in the house: Timo (Ripley Dark Blue fullset)
my undying thanks to the best doll friend ever - Leeloo - for letting me adopt her fabulous leggy man.

7. petiteballerine - WoW, what's one awesome looking trio you have there :D

I'm having strange problems with my Keeley. Does anyone have experience with taking faceups off of Dollmore tan dolls? I used my usual brush cleaner (tested on Iplehouse Real, and Souldoll dark tans, and worked well for all my faceup removal needs so far). But the sealant on Keeley's face is just not coming off, even after I used up a full bottle. It turned into an ochre colored gunky mess, and cannot be wiped off, magic eraser doesn't budge it, and neither does my usual method of using a toothbrush. It's only peeling off (like dead skin) in thin layers if I'm scratching with my nails, but there's no way I can remove the stuff from her eyes and lips this way....

I really don't want to resort to sanding off this stuff, so I'd really appreciate any ideas or materials that worked on Dollmore Tan before :)

8. Wow, no idea, smaug. That sounds like a nightmare! I gotta admit, I would be tempted to use acetone on that. Just do it over the sink so you can keep rinsing in between applications.
petiteballerine - what a lovely lineup! Wow, I am actually finding my eyes gravitating more towards Timo than Blue Epoch! I think you have a winner there!

9. Sorry if this is already answered somewheres or is in the wrong thread, I find the DoA search a little confusing and unwieldy hahaha.

I have a Dollmore Model Doll F body but the bust is just too much, has anyone had/heard of any luck with another company's torso/chest to have a smaller bust?

10. Smaug aernath - thanks! he's so much fun. he came with a box of clothes & goodies, which is a good thing. I don't need another size doll to sew for. ;)

11. aernath - Thank you for the advice :) I didn't get to the acetone in the end, because as it turned out it was not the sealant...instead my trusted, and really well-tested brush cleaner (as well as the two others I tried after) actually melted her resin!

So in the end I had to sand her head, which unfortunately resulted in some slight modification of her features. But after a not-so smooth going faceup, I'm finally satisfied with her look:

Smaller, dark eyes are still needed, and I'm planning a longer curly wig, but Rain looks cute this way, too :)

12. a traumatic dollie experience! but now you have a truly unique girl. she's very lovely. :daisy

13. Oh no!
But, I can't tell at all that there was any problem. She looks great! Excellent job!

14. OMG guys, I'm kinda fangirling and flailing ridiculously right now!
I just watched the page, and they have added a body with super high heel feet(with pumps that you glue on?) for the models!!
I have been waiting for this for some time now, just hope they can add a painting/blushing option for the shoes!
Just wow! :D

15. SteamWitch: that's perfect for him! nicely done. :XD: (I'm not sure what this emotie means, but I like it. for me, it's like jazz hands)

16. Thanks, he was very cooperative, lol.
I don't really know what it :XD:means either and I use it for approximately the same thing.:)

17. According to the Urban Dictionary:

v: To rock, or be otherwise good.
v: To defeat, usually in an online FPS.
v: An exclamation of happiness.

(alt. r0xx0r)
"OMG THIS ROXXORS!"
"I will roxxor j00!"
"ROXXORS!

18. hahaha! "to be otherwise good" I like that. yeah, the creepy stitches on Azure make me feel otherwise good. :XD:
Azure, on the other hand, looks like he's being held up by a mugger with a flashlight.

19. The camera decided to add the little balls of light, I didn't do that on purpose.
My beautiful mute angel gadget Azure.
