1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmore Lusion Discussion - Part V!

Aug 13, 2014

    1. Wow, she's beautiful! I've been keeping an eye on the Dahlias since they came out, and this is one of the prettiest I've seen. I love the Lusion sculpt in general, in many of her different versions, but your Nell has a very gentle, soothing expression that's so lovely, I just want to keep looking at her photo.

I only joined DOA recently so I've never been able to comment, but I have looked at the owner pics in the past as a non-member; so many pretty Lusions here. Someday I hope to bring one home as well!

    2. Thank you eve-one! I have had Nell for years. I am not her original owner. I loved her so much that I purchased the LE Somnambulinsomnia which uses the dreaming head. I also had Dahlia Ice aka Solace and a beautiful Lillia head. I have since sold all, except for Nell. Even though she is listed FS I will no doubt be holding onto her. I am now thinking I want SH Alice to join my Nell. Even after swearing off any more Lusions!!

My DH and I went out today antiquing when we happen to come across this vintage piece in a place called the Wicker House. Brought it home and Nell has claimed it. Now she says she wants a friend to share it with. Alice? This photo has been enhanced using my app Brushstroke.

    3. The curly wig is so cute!

I like Alice too; the styling in the company photos with the bobbed wig gives her a such pretty, kind of old fashioned innocent look that caught my eye. And her face is so sweet looking in contrast to the Dahlias, who always look to me like they might be secretly up to something. ;) They would make great "sisters".

    4. They kind of get to you, don't they? And I suspect that if you were to sell Nell, both your hearts would break...they go very well with other dolls too, as in antique and modern artist's dolls. She's much too beautiful to sell, Cathy!

    5. They do indeed - my Daisy Bacon is surrounded by large porcelain dolls (both antique and reproduction), and rag dolls.

Nell is adorable, Cathy, and that fab seat will look even better if she has a friend to share it.

    6. I have gotten quite a lot of wonderful comments on Nells Tibetan wig. It's a real shame the person who sold it to me many years back had sold her Lusion and stopped creating the wigs. I was very lucky to get this one on eBay. And actually wrote to her for another. That's when she told me she no longer has Lusion, and wasn't interested in making anymore.

I think of the SH Alice every day! I can't get her off my mind! I have a few ongoing layaways which needs to be paid off before I can order and concentrate on getting Alice as I would want her immediately!

Thank you Teddy! This wicker piece is a vintage item that I found for $35.00!! Nell loves it and is eager to share it with Alice. But she will have to practice patience.

I downloaded a new app called Waterlogue. Love this water color affect.

    7. My Lusions love a split willow rocker and the bigger doll in my world, French bebes, all love it too, so there is much jostling at our house, always...

    8. Hi! May I revive this thread?
Hopefully everyone's fine, and enjoying their lusions!
Anyone made a dolly purchase lately?

    9. of course you may revive the thread! My Lusion is sitting on the shelf above my desk keeping me company. I'm not planning on any purchases any time soon though.

    10. I'm hoping for a hanbok for my Nostalgic. I think she'd look so lovely in one.

    11. My girl is waiting for her hand-sewn Viking costume (a gift from a friend who thinks she should have the right outfit to wear when sitting in her reproduction Viking chair) Meanwhile, no new doll purchases and nothing new for Daisy Bacon, although the other day I doodled some designs for new dresses I'd like to make her.

    12. I finally unwrapped Pink Ballerina Alice last night after her sitting in her box since I got her. She's adorable. I have decided to sell my Bie You Tian Di Fei Ren Jian ; Lillia that I got at the same time. I just don't have the room. I need to see if I'm going to be able to keep my Dahlia. I'm still keeping my Lumie though.

You shouldn't make dolly decisions when you're depressed and living in Ronald McDonald House. You don't think about where they're going to fit.

    13. No, no doll decisions when things aren't good, or you're liable to do irrational things...but congrats on PB Alice, whitewolf! How exciting. She doesn't sound as though she was a bad decision. Maybe Lumie can support the smaller girls on her lap? We got 36 large OT dolls on 4x4x4 foot bleachers in a corner. Maybe you need something like that.

    14. Wow! That is mighty interesting! Are you having the hanbok commissioned, jenthered? How about the hair? Are you going all-traditional Korean, or are you going for a stylized, more fusion-ish look? Nostalgic has such a haunting and dramatic mien, I am sure she can pull anything off!!

Teddy, wow! Would she go as a Valkyrie? :D That is super exciting! Maybe she will need a steed for the war! And wings! And plate mail and a sword! *wink wink* ;)

Wow, whitewolf! A Ballerina Alice! Yours is the first I've heard so far. I hope that you'd be able to share her adventures here in the forum. I'm sorry, I feel for you, and I hope that you will be well and able once more. :( Though, my apologies, I don't quite get the "ronald mcdonald house"? Is it an idiom? :(

As always, please please do post pictures of these wonderful updates! <3

Tetradeka I miss your beautiful elf! Kindly post us of her when you have the time :D

    15. {laugh!} I doubt it. She'll just be a little viking girl - although I doubt she'd say no to her own horse.

    16. I love your writing style, "mien", faints...anyway, teacherkael1, I kinda hadn't thought beyond the hanbok. Dollmore says they'll make one but to pick one out from their stock....so I went shopping on their site and with one exception, all of the hanboks were on limited dolls...so I'm wondering how DM will think about that. I'll let you know my progress. Or Matilda's, the sulky wench.

    17. I saw somewhere here that someone did a fantastic pony? That'd be wonderful too for cute little viking girls! <3 Of course, she will be the cutest, just as she is. <3

err... I am so sorry for the words :'( I have a big cough attack and err I'm kind of messed up in the vocabulary area :( Hmm, I saw the site too, and I must say it was strange, for a shop that's based in Korea it sure does not feature the country's most prominent ensemble in either the lusion or trinity size.. instead they banked on the yukata (I wouldn't call that a complete kimono as kimonos have much more intricacy and complexity and layers).

    18. No, no, I love good writing. It was a compliment! But yes, I've wanted a hanbok for years and have wondered why none for the Lusions...it seems odd that they do what you have said and yet don't feature their own country's gorgeous lush ensembles...

    19. Thank you jenthered! :D

And it's difficult to commission a hanbok imho... I suppose there could be patterns scattered everywhere, but I read somewhere that there are special instructions to putting things. Please keep us updated on sulky little Matilda's fashions! <3

    20. I shall! She's been nagging for ever so long, so I think it's finally time. Plus Dollmore actually said they're willing, which is a minor miracle in itself. Stay tuned for more jolly fun next week!
