Dollmore Lusion Discussion - Part V!

lol Exactly why I buy SUVs. And yeah these big girls are awesome! She'll fit right in with my two Trinities and my elf Dahlia. Glad I got me the child-size chair from Amazon. Makes an excellent loveseat for Lusions!

 

I definitely think a dark wig will look fantastic on her! I'd actually love to see her in a black wig to bring out her eyes and eyemakeup even more, and a dark wig will contrast with her outfit nicely.
That's exciting you're getting a new Rav! I might be replacing my Honda CR-V soon with one. My neighbor really loves hers.

@jenthered Thanks! The Royal Floraison images were what finally pushed me over the edge to say "Yes, I have always wanted a Dahlia, but NOW I am finally ready to bring one home!" Though I must admit I love pink more than I like blue, and wish they had switched the Floraison Daish's outfit with Dahlia's! But I hopefully will buy the Daish as well and can let them trade outfits

 

That's just brilliant. I like blue and pink, and I love both the dolls, but with four Lusions still living here, well...I don't need more anymore...I'm so happy that such a beautiful girl is coming home. And I'll bet you'll be able to have her friend there too. I don't think they're selling out so fast.

 

I do hope the Royal Floraison Daish doesn't sell out too soon! There are only 5 of them (compared to 10 of the RF Dahlias) and Dollmore is attending some doll conventions in March and April... I will try not to worry about it because I will just drive myself crazy haha!

 

I understand...I bet you'll get one as you have some time. and they can take other dolls, right?

 

Oh yes I'm hoping Dollmore brings there newest Dahlias (Yeongeop and and Printemps) to show off the Lusion line, instead of bringing the Daish I want

On a different note, does anyone have multiple-joint hands for their Lusion? I think it would be wonderful to position them with a piano or other musical instrument!

 

that would be fun...I'd love to see Yeon in person in particular but am not going to buy her, as I don't need another Dahlia. I'd rather have regular Daish now. I saw the jointed hands and didn't like them, as they were clunky and ugly, to me, in view of how beautiful their hands and feet are.

 

I am thinking the same about the jointed hands, but hope it's just an effect of the dark blushing on the website pics, and maybe they would look a bit more elegant without it? I think it would look more natural to just keep the nails colored and not blush every single joint like they do.

I too would love to see the Yeongeop in person! Her faceup is honestly exactly what I want for a doll - brown toned with a medium-pink lip color. She's so beautiful. But I'm not a fan of how extravagant her outfit is.

 

I've seen them in person and the blush wasn't dark but the hands have to be clunky to do something effective.
I love her in all ways, including that outfit but no can do...

 

I just noticed that Blanc Printemps Dahlia is sold out! Congrats to anyone who bought her!

 

I saw one on eBay still, so she may only be sold out on the website. Happily, I didn't want her. :-) But good for those who did!

 

I finished my last payment for Royal Floraison Dahlia in the beginning of March! I haven't heard back from Dollmore (now I guess it's been two months officially). Should I email them asking for an update, or just continue waiting? I'm so anxious because I want her now, haha!

 

I would email for an upadate. They're usually pretty good about responding to messages.

Thanks Teddy! Sorry for the late reply. I did email them and got a reply that they were backed up on orders, which I told them was absolutely fine and to take their time! I knew I'd have to wait a bit longer anyway since I ordered the body blushing and sanding.

She arrived today, in just a few days after they sent me shipping notification! No waiting in LA customs, which was a pleasant surprise! She is my first Lusion, so I was BAFFLED by how heavy she is! I was not prepared
She's stunning and Dollmore was so nice to include lots of free items, including a short blonde wig and the basic underclothes corset/bloomers set! They also gave me a very pretty gold hair pin and a tiny cat face plush (no idea what to use it for - maybe a MSD pillow??)

I initially put the blonde cabbage wig on her, which looks absolutely perfect, and I prefer it to the blond forest sobazu wig in the Royal Floraison set, but since I've been moving her around trying to find a better place for her, I didn't want to risk ruining the curls on her wig from all the manhandling, so I put the forest sobazu back on her, which is what she's wearing in this picture!



I also gave her a Muffy Vanderbear I dressed up as a friend Sorry for such terrible photo quality - it's evening and my room is very dark. But I couldn't resist finally sharing a pic of my pretty girl!

I have a silly question.... I didn't notice a certificate or manual that came with my Dahlia. Is that normal? I was looking at some box opening pictures online (not of Lusions, but of other Dollmore dolls) and some people had COAs.
Do I just need to look in my room again? I'm pretty sure I didn't see anything in the box...

 

I don't think I got a certificate with mine, but I might not have noticed/remembered because I don't bother with that sort of thing.. or they may not have been doing them back then, I've had my Daish almost 4 years now.

Thanks for the response! I don't think I saw one... I have no intention of ever selling her or otherwise needing a COA, but I like to keep all my dolly things in one place, so thought I accidentally misplaced it when opening her box!

 

They did forget the certificate with one of my dolls. I contacted them on the Q&A board and they shipped it with my next order. Is was a little while, so I included a reminder in the comments section. I sure they would have sent it separately, but I wasn't in a hurry.

 

Hi Nancy, is the certificate just a generic Dollmore authenticity paper, or does it specifically pertain to a single doll (i.e. state info on that particular doll, like the sculpt or anything?)
