It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Dollmore Lusion Discussion - Part V!

Aug 13, 2014

    1. Yep I know..still hoping to see some of the other sculpts produced though. For now I ordered the Luts Elf Daisy Baby Delf. If I do go for the Illua Dahlia maybe I'll think about modding elf ears on her..lol. The Lusions are fabulous but I'll only get another if they ever produce a boy..lol. I have 3 Lusions at the moment.

    2. That would be a big undertaking as it would need a different body.

As it is, the body is the part of the Lusion I don't like - it's too slim and shaped, I'd prefer a proper child-poroportioned body.

    3. Three Lusions?! :D That sounds so fun.
I agree Teddy, it would be great if the torso were more realistic and not so slim. It does get hidden decently when they wear clothes since the Lusion legs and arms are adorably chubby, but the narrow torso can be a pain to dress properly and a bit disconcerting to hold. Every time I pick my girl up to move her, I'm surprised by now narrow her middle is :huh?:

    4. Totally agree that's whats holding me off of Illua as well. i really love the Dollmore kid bodies, they pose well too. They are quite slim, I always get people commenting on my Lusion and Trinity Dolls like OMG they are as big as a child or I bet I could wear that..lol. I just shake my head and am like no they are still a doll, I'd be worried if child was that thin.
As for 3 Lusions being fun, they've been sitting in the same spot for over a year now..lol. I'm not sure what most people do with more than one, I just like to look at them. :) they have been much neglected as are all my dolls.

    5. Having three sounds amazing though! I want a second one but I agree, I dont really know what I'd do with them other than set up a little sofa for them to live on. Right now I do bring my girl from room to room but I've been paranoid aboutmessing up her wig. Your Wysteria is gorgeous btw. I have that same red Cabbage wig on my girl and love the way it looks but the curls catch on everything so easily!

    6. Absolutely!

Daisy Bacon could do with more playtime here too. I keep meaning to make more of the clothes i have planned (and bought fabric) for her, but do I get aorudn to it. She hasn't had a dress made for her since the intial one:

And that was only really made to try out the pattern....

    7. I am so excited that I have my first lusion ordered, Tell Me Daish. It will be a long time before I have her, but I am so happy she will be here someday to join Elysia.

    8. Congratulations. I hope the wait-time passes quickly

      Teddy

    9. Hooray! Even though it will be a while, I look forward to seeing your Daish with your Elysia!

    10. Hi all, I may be joining the discussion, I'm very close to ordering a black dahlia, but I'm trying to figure out what US size of clothing and shoes she would fit? Does anyone know what size children's clothes and shoes she would fit?

    11. Shoes are the easiest answer. A Toddler 5 is generally fits very well.Clothes are harder. The Lusion body is very thin. A newborn size fits around but is short. Someone suggested a size two for length, but will be big around. You need to choose styles carefully. I don't have pictures but I'm sure others do.

    12. It really varies from brand to brand. I have a dress that's 3-6 months that fits but is very short over her waist, and another that is I think 9 months that is a good length (waist sits lower) but is much too broad shouldered. As Nancy said, Lusion bodies are so thin and that makes it a bit difficult to get off-the-rack kids clothes that are a perfect match. Usually they'll require a bit of tucking around the waist or adjustment around the shoulders.

    13. Ok well I did it! I was expecting an invoice as I think the last time I ordered from Dollmore I had to wait for an invoice? But I clicked on something and it took me to PayPal.
How long does it take to send her out? I paid in full and didn't get any faceup etc, it says 30 days for a doll with faceup, but mine is blank.

    14. Congrats on ordering your girl! I think you should be receiving an email invoice immediately afte checkout, so check your spam folder and possibly email Abby ([email protected]) if you don't see anything.
For me, the turnaround time for my Lusion was 2 months but it really depends on Dollmore's busy-ness.

    15. It is Chinese New Year time which can delay almost everything.

    16. Hopefully that will only present a short delay, because Lunar New Year in Korea lasts less than a week compared to in China it takes almost a month

    17. I see it's been over a month since the last post, but still hoping to get an answer. I -finally- managed to get my #1 grail doll (Soom Amber) and now I want to work on getting #2, the Elf Dahlia. I want to get her so badly, but due to current (lack of) funding, I'm really hedging on her. What's the posing like? I've seen the Golden Dahlia in person once several years ago, but remember hardly anything from her. Pros? Cons? I have a 9 month old son and a 3 1/2 year daughter if that helps for giving me size comparisons!

    18. AllyCSPro I have a Golden Dahlia and I find her best posing is when she is sitting down. I find it very difficult to
stand her up on her own weight, unless she is propped against a wall etc.. Most of the Lusion girls I have seen that
pose the best are the one's that have been wired. I may finally get around to doing that one day myself.

    19. AllyCsPro is right. I stand mine up only with a good heavy Kaiser doll stand but sitting down, they can pose nicely. Their arms need to be wired if you want them to hold a pose, as gravity is their enemy and these dolls are heavy as heck.

    20. When you say heavy, like, how much do they weigh? O.o; My daughter is 35 lbs and my son is 21 lbs... my chiropractor isn't happy about the fact that I'll carry around my daughter every once in a while. XD
