Dollmore Model boy Kyle Reese Discussion

Oh wow, this sounds awesome. I've really been wanting a bag that could carry both my 70cm dolls as carry-on!

...And to get back on-topic, I am very intrigued by the Model Boy body, but I'm not too keen on Kyle's face (I think it's the eyes; for some reason half-open eyes just don't do it for me as a general rule). I anticipate though that I'm going to be in big trouble when the new heads come out. And then I'm going to wonder where on earth I can find clothing and shoes for him... it's already awfully tough to find anything I like for my Van! Eek!

 

Adrastea: Perhaps he can wear Hound clothes. He's around the same size, just maybe a little skinnier. I'm not sure about the shoes though, I can't recall the hound's foot size.
I see alot of custom-made outfits in this boy's future.

 

I think he's just gorgeous! He doesn't look too thin to me - as some say, it might be the blushing/lighting.

Tall though, whoa. But I do have a character that is taller than the others. He'll still tower over the other dolls (even if I do get a 60cm girl doll, for the girl characters c.c)

Not gonna rush into it, though, of course. This'll take much thought, as in, do I want to get a big (and expensive) doll like this, who will really only represent one character of mine. (still, nothing says can't dress him up for other/non-character-related stuffs. *lol*)

Eagerly awaiting real-owner photos/comparisons.

He is still very nice-looking, though. Heh... He'll go on my "considering" list for sure.

 

I really wasn't wanting one of the expensive BJDs,but my thoughts changed when I saw Kyle. This is the first one I've really liked. I just hope he'll still be in stock by the time I save up enough money. I could probably get him in two paychecks,but I have student loans to pay.
If I do get him,this will be my first BJD.

hope you save the money for him sooner rather than later, he'll make a great first doll I'm sure!

(Dollmore will prob have him in stock for at least a year judging by how long they've had the girls available so don't worry bout that)

 

I ordered mine two weeks ago...I am now pacing the floor waiting for Trevor's arrival.

 

When are those kyle's going to be shipped?! I thought they were supposed to be shipped this week?

First, thanks to Gayle for explainning about the bag. She is a very reliable person for information on large size bjds & she travels often with her big boys.

Ok, here is the scoop on Kyle.
First a small batch of him will be sent out next week to those who ordered almost immediately after he was introduced.
If you waited at least a week to order, you won't be on that list & will have to wait for the next batch to be produced.

Here is another important message.
Dollmore is offering two types of Kyle's body.
One is as slim as the current promo picture that you see but has an improved upper body.
The other one has a more thicker/muscular body.

If you ordered him already & would like to see the new body picture, you will have to let us know that you want to wait & see which body you prefer. It might take an extra week or so for the picture, but if you think it is worth it, you should wait & see the new body picture, otherwise you will receive Kyle with the original slim body.

Hope I made this info clear enough to understand.

More news - a new male model will be introduced at the end of this month.

Me too thanks for the update =) I wonder what the new body will look like... I might change my ideas for Ikki if the body is really buffer and the face fits Ikki... i can`t wait to see them!

But I bet they won`t update Kyle before they release the new boy ...but that`s okay in the dolly world you have got to be prepared to wait.

I wounder what the buffer body will look like. I am sure he will not be skinny anymore!

I would really like to see the pictures! I am so interested!
But I cannot wait until I see the comparison of owner pictures with both slim and buffer body.

Darn it!!! There went my wish list again..like fungus, it seems to be growing uncontrollably! I really love this new boy. He is a little thinner than I would have liked, but that face!!! I find it hauntingly beautiful (yes males can be beautiful as well..lol). Anyway...this boy is now on my wish list...so I had better get busy selling stuff (I wonder how much you can get for selling body parts? Anybody need a kidney?) My Bella Auden is going to owe me big time for this..... =O

 

He's not going to be thin anymore, you will have the choice between a thin body or a wider body within a week they will post pictures of kyle with the new thicker body.

Bumping... I'm wondering if the snafu between Dollmore and Dollshe isn't the thing slowing up the process on the Model boys =\ That would be sad.

 

I was hoping to see some pictures of kyle this week too!
