Dollmore Model Glamourous Bust Body - LE Eva, Leah and Mellow

Dollmore is slowly coming out with clothes for these girls, but you have to waid through the entire Model Doll size clothes section to find them.

BUT I can tell you that some of the regular Model size shirts fit on these big busts- but they have to be made from the stretchy knit t-shirt material. DM sent me some extras with my girl and both T-shirts fit her. I haven't tried anything fitted or without stretch on her yet though.

 

Just a thought for ya'll, you can either ask them if a certain outfit can fit them OR request to have a certain outfit fitted for their size. I've seen requests for outfits that aren't made for other sizes and they seemed to have replied they can but if it's a bigger doll they may add a little bit more to the price since it's more material, etc. I've once asked if I can have an SD outfit in the glamor model female size and they said it was possible. So if there's an outfit that you like that looks like it's going to need adjustments/resizing, it wouldn't hurt to ask if they can make that into the proper size, just expect that there might be a little extra fee, though. I usually find that Dollmore if very accommodating for alot of things, except for one thing lol was allowing the order of another white skinned head ^^; which was why I sold off my previous model doll body since I couldn't find a head I want for it. I still have the head but making it into an elf.

 

I'm in the same boat, looking at Ha-Yarn Cho, but not loving the face up. I know Dollmore is usually pretty accomodating, but does anyone know as Akudem asked, how they'll react if you ask for a custom face-up on a limited doll? How about other changes? (eyes for example)

I'm a bit nervous to ask Dollmore, but if any of you has experience making such requests I've love to hear about it!

 

I hadn't asked for a custom face-up on mine, but that's also because I wanted a totally different head, I suppose it would be redundant to get the same head with another face-up unless you found someone who wants to buy that head from you. It never hurts to ask, cause they can't seriously get mad at you or anything. Worse case scenario, they'll say no. The only time they hadn't been accommodating to me, was when I wanted to get another white skinned head for the model female body I used to have and they said they won't sell the WS head seperately.

 

So I asked, and the answer is no. I'm really torn now, I really love the big bust, but I was looking for a doll I could love straight out of the box (too many needing face-ups/work right now and I'm slow and untalented) and I don't think I can love her with that face up. I guess my two options are to just get her and get someone else to do the face up, or as you suggested, buy a head with a custom face up and sell the 'LE' head.

It almost makes it worse for me that Dollmore, by reputation is usually rather accomodating when it comes to face ups...but not for this. *sigh* They probably have them all sitting in boxes ready to go or some such. I've got some thinking to do...

 

After reading previous posts, I thought someone bought an extra normal bust piece when buying the large bust body.

So I ask Dollmore if I can buy a normal bust piece with a LE doll, and the answer is "no"...

I think maybe their policy got changed, so bad I didn't find this post few months ago...

 

I'm all for whatever gets more people interested in this hobby!

 

Oh what a shame they won't change the LE faceups to custom.. They usually are accomidating I love the LE dolls but I do not love the faceups on the new Ipsae and Ha-Yarn and Lisa Rubic. And the heads are pretty hard to sell lately :/ I might just have to hope someone wants to sell their large bust body or trade it for a small bust or something >_<

 

Rinse, you shouldn't give up. You know, there are some freaks like me who wished to have the head of these LEs but NOT the body. I bought separately both Leah Cox and Eva Louise Lingerie II heads from DoA members 'cos I didn't want to pay for those boobs I didn't really want my girls to have. E.g. here in Russia many BJD fans liked the face-up of Lisa Rubik, so maybe you should give it a try...

 

I just asked about resizing some Model F outfits to fit the large bust. They turned me down.

 

I successfully sold my Eva Louse head- it just took some time and bumps. You could also try splitting. They aren't selling out as fast as the first girls did.

Personally I'm kind of hoping they make a big busted Melissa Baul and Mary Peirce. I think those two would be fierce man-eaters!

 

Hey, has there been any news on anyone getting their Dark Chocolate Mellows? So far I haven't found any owners here on DoA so I'm thinking none of her has been shipped out or something ^^;
I just wanna see owner pictures so I can debate about buying this lovely girl second hand if she ever pops up in the marketplace ^-^
Though I don't want her clothes/shoes, wig, eyes, and face-up, I want to customize her from head to toe! XD

 

So I thought, and I researched and I thought some more...and I decided firstly that I didn't like Ha Yarn Cho as much as I thought, and that with them being unwilling to do a custom face-up, I've decided that if it has to be a hassle I might as well get something I really want.

So I'm going to buy a glamourous bust, sell the head and put another company's head on her!

Yes, I too will be in the boat of try to sell one of the LE heads...eventually...financially this is probably going to happen at the beginning of next year, unless they start to sell quickly, then I'll jump in!

 

I happen to own one of the new Ipsaes, and she's absolutely wonderful! Just be warned folks she might need double sided tape to help hold her lingerie up, as the straps are kinda long and you can't tighten it.

I know that the Amitie dress set fits them, I have one on Anne right now. They're also starting to release more clothes saying that they fit both large and small bust girls. ^^

EDIT: I remember during the first round of ordering, some people were able to buy and extra small bust for their girls but still had to pay for the large bust. If you want the head, but not the boobs, maybe you could do this?

 

Well I'll always say I never regretted going that route if I felt I had to. If you love how Dollmore does face-ups, then it's easier to get the extra head. Just think of convenience, you want to love her out of the box. Getting the extra head is as close as you get otherwise. Cause, someone is bound to want that extra unwanted head, or you can save it and remake it into a twin sister..or as a practice head ^^ if anything, the head can be kept as a spare part incase something happens to the head you wanted.

I feel blessed cause not only did I get the included sanding service at no extra cost (as they charge extra for it now) I was able to order the normal bust too. It was under personal settlement for $60 but I checked back and don't see it there anymore. I'm thinking they don't want a repeat of the first issues, because they sold out so fast than expected. And they probably aren't selling the extra normal bust because it may just be adding to slow them down. I think they want to try and keep their reputation as a speedy deliverer since the only time I seen them really slow on their shipping was during the first glamor bust sells. And of course notice how they are offering tons more this time (even recently made a set of fashion dolls with large busts) > lol they made a gold mine hehe.
When I ordered my normal bust, it didn't get to me when they shipped it at first. I had to contact them to send it to me, and thankfully they did with no extra cost (lol after waiting almost 3 months and spending about $1k for not only my doll but extra stuff over time, I would want everything sent right lol)
I was really lucky I got my girl, because I was indecisive as I wanted a different head (once i ordered her, she sold out the next day). I definitely don't regret my decision, cause I love the custom face-up I gotten for the Lisa head I ordered (I found I really don't like the one they got now) and actually liked the lingerie she came with. I probably won't use my normal bust for awhile but I keep it on hand for clothes fittings and photo shoots, etc.

Oh darn :s I remember someone requested or even some description on clothing said extra fee for size adjustments and they did it. I also requested a size on something so..maybe to me they meant it was a possible fit and not necessarily that they'll make it that size...? ><; But then again they are trying to be more structured in what they do now..so it probably did change. T-T...either that or not the same person answers the question O.o;;

Lol, well if you really like their current lingerie and don't want to rely on their future face-ups or if they'll make a certain mold into a glamor bust at all, I'd say it's worth it getting the face-up/head you want.

 

I've always wanted the LE Leah Cox, so if I were to get any doll with the glamorous bust and the normal head, it would be the same?

uno-kun, the sculpt would be the same, and you may be able to request an LE faceup or at least a custom faceup, but you'd have to ask on the Dollmore Q&A board to confirm.

Ah I see. Yeah, uno-kun, the LE faces are only different faceups, and bodies or skin tone :3 The sculpt is still the same as the normal dolls from what we have all seen.

From what I have heard, you cannot get the LE dolls with any other faceup (apparently a few of us have asked), but you miiight be able to get a normal doll with an LE faceup or something close. Which is just weird. You'd think it would be the other way around.

Oh speaking of which, does anyone know how the custom faceups work? I'd have thought they had a thing for it like angell-studio does. I'm going to have to go through the galleries and see if I can find anyone with a custom faceup too... see how good they are.
