1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmore Trinity Discussion - Part 2

Jun 8, 2016

    1. Congrats @Lady Tiku

Does anyone else have issues with the Dollmore stand? I put my girl in it and she fell right out! Really not happy with the official doll stand that was $107... You would think it would actually HOLD the doll it is intended for. :doh

    2. I have a stand that I bought for a large vinyl doll, it wasn't very expensive but stands really solidly.

    3. I bought one that was a LOT less expensive and it looks kind of wobbly, but it's way better than the Dollmore stand that she just slides right out of.

    4. ty im currently going berserk as a 'long weekend' is making me wait for delivery lol

and does the waist grip not tighten or does it topple from the base?.... I never did like the look of the base..It doesn't look like it has the 'weight' to counter balance things... I'd be wanting to secure it to a 'heavier' base "at the verey least"...

Mine will be sitting...if nothing else on the couch if the chairs i have in mind don't work.

    5. @Lady Tiku It doesn't tighten around her waist. Maybe if there were some rubber grips on it, it might hold her better. But with clothes on, she slips right out.

    6. I have the dollmore stand and I've never had an issue. The base is REALLY heavy, and holds their weight well. I think the base alone weighs nearly as much as the doll. There's no danger of it tipping over (unless something runs into it and knocks it, of course).

      As for grip, I use the stand under their clothes, not over them. I think it probably has a much better grip on the resin than it does on cloth, which tends to shift and slip over their bodies. Also, hides the fact that they're on the stand. I've had my girl on the stand for months and she's never once fallen, except for the one time my cats decided to play-fight right into her and knocked her over. ^^;

    7. I bought my stand about 6 years ago, it was only £33.00 and for a different doll but works well with Trinity, the top is very similar to the DM one but I always put it under clothes and not over them as I don't want to see it.

    8. Those Dollmore stands, there are 2 different on their site - a white grip and a black one. They say the black one is improved and stronger (also a little more expensive; 125usd). Which stands do you all use, which version is the one with the troubles - or is there no difference and both are not really safe?

@avrilpaeony I saw such doll stand at an European dealer, actually I'm planning to get this for my Lusion soon. It's great to hear that it works with heavy dolls. With my Trinity I'll sadly get the Dollmore stand, and if I also have troubles with this I'll buy the version you are using.

    9. I use the stand with the white waist grip for my Trinities. As I said, I've never had any issues with the girls sliding out or falling over, once I get them on (it's hard to wrestle them into it, but once they're standing they do okay). Although the coating on the bar is getting torn up due to the screws that adjust the height. But I got the stand used, as a free gift from Dollmore when I purchased my Elysia. It was one of their display stands, which they used to display her at Dollism in 2014. As long as it doesn't affect the use of the stand I can put up with that.

    10. @Sadomina I use the white one. The black wasn't available when I ordered, or I would have gotten it. My girl slides out of the white one. She was wearing a romper and the grip couldn't get under/in her clothes. It had to be on the outside.

My stand also has the tore up coating problem because of the screws.

I'm just saying, for the price, I'm disappointed.

    11. It's slow going with a sore back so while i sit on a heat pad for a bit i uploaded 'emptying the box' part of her opening doing a quick inventory of the items... it cut off for some reason though before the mummy came out. She's waiting to be free'd atm XD

    17. Do they still sell these in the UK? Story stands pretty well but I'd love to get her a stand. I've not seen anything that looks like it would work.

    18. I am not sure I can remember where I got it from but I will have a look around and see if I can find it.

    19. Thank you so much x
