Dollmore Youth Eve & Adam Discussion

He's really intriguing to me; his face seems to walk the fine line between having loads of 'character,' without becoming too eccentric. Actually the style (maybe it's the small eyes?) reminds me a little bit of the minimee heads.

I think his face-up is rather lovely too-- the only qualm I have is the way that the head sits on the Adam body. It just seems to kind of float on the neck.

hobbywhelmed: I don't know Unidoll's sculpts well enough for names, but yes, he definitely reminded me of one of their boys.

VampireAngel13: I tend not to like bodies with tendons and muscles really defined (like the male glamor model body) -- but in this case, I agree with you, he does seem to need a more rugged body. The Adam hands look oddly soft next to his face.

Wow, what an intriguing sculpt! I totally agree, hobbywhelmed - he's very Unidoll-ish (a good thing), and I can definitely see him as a young Jace. And I also agree about the hair being wrong for him... Right now he looks like a greaser. >_< I think because the bones in his face are so defined, he needs a flowing, more free-form wig that doesn't compete for attention.

 

Sion Yoon is just gorgeous!! He does have a bit of a Unidoll flavour, but also resembles the aesthetic of Minimees. He has a very strong moody expression and I could see him easily working on a more built physique. Once again, Dollmore turns out a sculpt that is quite striking and different (to add to their already diverse bunch).

 

I'd like to see him in tan also. Wouldn't he look great on one of those new Granado-style bodies?

 

I'm totally in love with Sion Yoon XD He reminds me so much of James Marsters (Spike from Buffy fame). Hope someone gets one of these handsome guys and shares lots of pics!

I'm really impressed with him to be honest! (Although I fear that it's because I'm totally biased though, I LOVE Dollmore and I could probably find a character for 90% of their sculpts XD)

I think I like their old style better though. I hope they won't be releasing more in the style of Sion Yoon to the detriment of cute ones like Purum Cho...

 

LOVE the new Dollmore guy, what a fantastic and very mature looking sculpt, he could be easily in his late 30s. An SD with an 8-9 head and 10mm eyes though! His eyes almost seem too small, but maybe thats because Im so used to the eyes being large. I love him, maybe one day I might get him, he has loads of potential.

 

Does anyone know if the Youth head will fit on a Model doll body? I couldn't find neck measurements on Dollmore's measurement chart to see if it was do-able - his head size is only a tiny fraction smaller than the Model doll...?

 

Sion Yoon is really interesting. Love the cheekbones.

Oh well, it was worth a try...I do really like his face, but it seems a little more mature than the body. Guess it's worth checking out the hybrid threads for resin matches!

 

Just to warn you, whatever you decide to go with there will probably be modding involved...the Adam body has a very thin neck and the heads don't really fit on anything.

 

I love sion yoon, would like one to turn into a shy tranny.

 

Fellow Eve owners... where do you buy jeans for your ladies? I bought some gorgeous flare jeans from MoC (K2 brand), but Brigitte's thighs are too big for them. She can stand in them, but sitting is right out. My problem is is that I want just medium or dark blue denim jeans without all that bleach wash treatment on them. For some reason nicely priced regular old jeans are really hard to find for SD girls ><;

 

Mine doesn't have jeans...I got some from MoC and they're way too big. I have a home-made pair that were resized for Alex and she squeezes into those. At least their hips/butt/thighs are on the slightly larger size...Alex is so skinny I can never find pants for him

 

Jace's jeans (SD13 size) are far too large in the waist/hips but fit in leg length and girth. Maybe I should try to go for regular SD boy pants? :/

 

they might be too short. I think Isis and Alex have the same length of leg and I know Alex's legs are the same length as the SD13 long legs.

All these issues would be solved if Dollmore would make a pair of jeans that would actually fit their dolls :\

I think I heard that Iplehouse might fit...but I never bothered to try. Too expensive to get a pair and then have them not fit.
If it fits elfdoll girls it might work too...though I think DM Eve thighs are still a little larger than ED (Adam thighs are not lol Most of my pants for Alex were stolen from an Elfdoll girl. They're still too big)

 

Well this is depressing XD Thanks for all the help and advice, I really appreciate it I'm going to try to stretch the thighs of her jeans out somehow and see if that'll work without hurting the integrity of the pants. They really are gorgeous and fit her perfectly in the hips/butt area and length-wise.
