1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollmore Youth Eve & Adam Discussion

Jul 1, 2010

    1. Oh my gosh, so many pretty Dollmore dolls! I had a question for owners of Adams; have you found anywhere to buy pants that fit his teeny little hips? :? All I've been able to find would just fall right off...

Also, one more quick question (that has probably been answered before, sorry!), but is there a big size difference between the male and female heads? Would it be possible to body swap between genders and look okay? (Mainly curious about the possibility of a Fine head on a male body.)

      Thank you!

    2. No and no/yes. XD
The only pants I've found that fit really well are some jeans in a local store that I was told were randomly made to fit bjds. They fit my Adams perfectly. They don'g have an online presence however, so it's no help to anyone else. Certain pants from DM will be ok, especially if they're skinny pants. I've found it best just to have belts on hand...that way most stuff can work, it'll just be bigish.

Adam and Eve heads are similar in size and an be switched. I have 3 different eve heads and the neck holes are the same as the Adams, so I'm guessing they were all made to fit the Adam body. Head size kind of varies among them, the older molds I own are bigger, but Liebe, Kara, and Fine are all about the same size.

    3. Can't believe it took me a month to find this thread :O But I like it! Really reminds me of how wonderfully charming dollmore dolls are :D

I also have a question for you all: Does anyone know any jointed hans that would fit adams? I'm not to picky with the resin match, they just have to be an okay match.

My Kara Klum got senior delf jeans from Luts. They are an okay fit, if you like more baggy pants. At least they don't fall of. Maybe delf pants would fit? They have similar measurements I think...

    4. Never mind about the hands by the way. Found a thread that said Dikadoll would be a good match ^^

    5. I have a question for Lina, who has a Biwol and posted pics of her: What kind of eyes do you have in her, how are they shaped and how well do they fit? Seeing as I'm going to be ordering mine in about a week (EEEEEEEEE!) ... I guess I just got concerned that the Makoeyes I got (which are small 12mm's) may not fit because they're normal shaped and her page says "10mm flat eyes"

    6. I have regular 12mm or 10mm glass eyes in my girl. Her head is really small, but she has deep round eyewells, so regular eyes work just fine. I have a big box of unlabeled eyes left over from when I made porcelain dolls, so I'm not sure of the exact size, but they're smaller than 14mm. I'll be glad to see another Biwol around here; I'm just crazy about mine. She has such a funny, cross little face.

    7. Oh that's a relief to hear, thank you. I'm very excited about my Biwol, especially given that I see different things in her face than you do, I think, so it'll be fun comparing how they turn out. I admit it may take me a while to be posting pictures of her considering I've only done face work on a MH doll (And I'm not even done with it, waiting to finish sculpting her leg-replacement snake tail so I can paint the whole thing at once) ... and yeah I'm getting a blank Biwol...

When I first saw her I saw sadness but with a sprinkle of hope in her. Maybe that's because it reflects how I've been feeling for a while, given that it was two months after I had started divorce processing with my ex-husband when I first saw her sculpt and I was still in a definite mourning period that may have colored what I was seeing. I also have two cosplays planned for her: Lady Amalthea (Human form of the unicorn) from The Last Unicorn, and Ellen from the ps3 launch title Folklore. I've got the material for Amalthea's dress, it's the knit turtleneck that's going to give me issues with Ellen I think.

    8. I think Biwol has an interesting face that could be open to many interpretations. My girl sometimes looks a little cross or sometimes a little bit worried about something. I like Dollmore's version of her on their website too.

    9. Wah! I put in the order today. ... realized I did it around midnight their time, so haven't gotten my invoice or responses to my "Why is there a shipping charge" question (I assume it's something they have to change manually for the free shipping event, so I'm done freakin' out now) ISSOEXCITEDYOUGUYS.

    10. Yeah, they should take it off when they send you an invoice. No worries^^

    11. I usually just pay them the amount minus the shipping in paypal, and add my order number in the notes. Never had a problem with it. (I'm just too impatient to wait for them to invoice me XD)

    12. Lol I've done that too! The last few times I've ordered I've gotten lazy and made them send the invoice XD

    13. Do I need to include the Paypal fees with it? Cos I might just send it then, I guess I'm crossing my fingers that everything will fit in two boxes, but I should think clothing might still be able to fit in with the bed from the GO...

I've made entirely too many posts but I feel like I still wish I could post in Newbieland. >_< Blargh I will wait, and get up super duper early in the morning instead and hope I've got an invoice hanging around.

    14. No pp fees, the total is the total. I've only had a few companies actually charge fees after the total, and they make a big deal about letting you know.

    15. Well I sent in the payment last night and woke up to notification it was accepted and okay so yay! Now for the waiting game, which I hear can be much shorter with Dollmore than most other companies.

    16. Yay!! Waiting is much fun XD

I'm not sure exactly what it depends on with DM, but it depends XD
The longest wait I've had is a month and all those waits were for some issue...out of stock parts/dolls, faceups, seem sanding....a blank doll definitely takes less time, I've had waits of only one to two weeks, and for one head once, they shipped next day XD

I know there have been longer waits, so really, it depends on...something. How busy they are probably.

Since I'm in here and blabbing, I have news about pants fitting DM Adams if anyone is interested.
Alice's Collections girl jeans are perfect. PERFECT. I have two different pairs and I love them. One is almost too short, but since they fit so well I don't care. I think most of the men's jeans will sadly be too big, but I might grab a few pairs anyway....I have other boys (I know, who knew??).

Yay for fall finally being here! I know it's stupid since I dress most of my boys in fall/winter clothes all year round, but I always feel better doing it in the right seasons XD

    17. Love Alex sweater :D it looks so cosy! And I'm happy fall's here too, since I also have most fall chlothes for my dolls, at least for the boys.

And how tight are the girl jeans? Like normal tight or "girl tight"? I'm curios since my boy is looking for better fitting pants too ^^

    18. I know, I love hoodies XD I wish I was in one right now!! Stupid work! Aaaand it's too warm XD

      They are this tight

Picture from earlier in the year I might have already posted...sorry!!
Well-fitting without being painted on. I guess that's a fit? They have realistic wrinkles/folds around the crotch area and knees. They're a little flared at the feets so they're not skinny jeans but he can't sit on one foot in them (he can do that in loose pants).

I looked for jeans for four years before finding these...then it took the rest of the year to realize they're from Alice. Now I can spread the love XD

    19. Looks good! Maybe I'll get my boy a pair to wear tucked down in his boots, since flared legs aren't really his style ^^

    20. Wanted to share a pic of my boy, since I haven't done so yet ^^

Here's Axl, my kara klum, whom I've had for about a year now:

EDIT: Realized now that I made two posts in a row, sorry about that!
