It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. Yea, thanks for you guys's opinions!

    2. I take my dolls to the mall (usually just one at a time) because I can get them things there. There is a doll store in one of our malls, and in the other they have a place that sells Japanese import goods and they have a Claire's that sells doll-scale jewelry. I've never gotten in trouble and people come and compliment/ask about them often. Plus, if I go to the mall, I go to the fabric store and get them things too.

    3. I would only take him for a meetup, but other than that, we stay away from cursed places.

    4. I always take one of my boys with me to the mall, but then again, I'm always with at least 2 other people. If I was by myself then I probably wouldn't.

    5. I only take one of my dolls with me, I bought a 16cm anthro specifically for this purpose >3 he fits in my purse no problem and doesnt weight me down even in places like the bathroom and hes easy enough to hide so i dont get bombarded with questions or worry about theft. Now a dollie bigger than msd size I would definately reconsider

    6. Aha, I take my dolls to the mall/stores/whatever all the time. xD Especially Muffins - I wrap him in a Bitty Baby towel or just stick him in a fuzzy sock and put him in my purse with me so I've got a doll everywhere I go! xD

    7. there are too many jerks at most malls. also, I can't imagine why any of my dolls would need to go there; it's not like they sell BJD clothes or wigs at the mall.

    8. I answered no, but there's one exception - my nearest Tenshi no Sumika is in a massive mall. However, the doll's in the carrier until we get into the actual store. I prefer to keep my private hobbies private. ^^;

    9. I would bring my dolls to the mall with me (and have). I bring him with me for me, not for anyone else, so I don't care what others think; I just want my dollie with me. Besides, the dazed stares can be amusing once you're sure it's not a stalker.

    10. Well.. I brought my girly to the mall one day and was carrying her around with me no problems BUT. =_= I got so tired of lugging her around all day she spent almost the whole time stuffed in my bag (Cruel I know >_>; ) but I was like AHHHHH!!

      Never again :x

    11. I wouldn't, but I don't go to malls, but I can't imagine bringing something like a doll to a place where one tends to go to buy things, it really doesn't make sense to me. (Although I've heard of groups hanging out at the mall but that's not a scene for me. Most of the food in malls are awful to my taste and I prefer to shop alone)
I know I wouldn't bring a doll to a clothing store I frequently go to. I'm there to shop, not to show off. Toting a doll along would just be a bother and hassle honestly.

    12. I wouldn't usually but I wanted to check the accessory store in my mall for doll-able things once. I have a smaller sized tote bag, just popped my MSD boys face-protector on and popped in him in the bag. I'm the only person who knew he was there haha. Didn't end up needing to compare things for size but it was kind of fun none the less. Carrying around in a more public manner or taking photos at the mall would be a no on my list though.

    13. No. Never. The mall isn't safe for my dolls. If its not one things its another.

Plus I feel like someone might snatch them or children will want to have them.

    14. I have no problem bringing mine to the mall with me, as long as I'm not alone and at least one of the other people I'm with also brought theirs. Normally I would only bring one with me for sizing or something but it does come in handy to bring one along if you don't have the extra cash to buy anything, they keep your hands full. :)

I have never had a problem with other people trying to take them or anything, we tend to get a few odd looks and sometimes questions but nothing bad.

Also, for Christmas of 2008, my friends and I got our dolls' picture taken with our mall's Santa! (Gallery thread found here)

    15. I've done this on several occassions especially when I'm wanting to get something for them. I've brought them to the mall and fabric stores (more so with fabric stores) and never had a problem.

    16. I'm not that fond of malls, so it's not somewhere I go too often. I've been occasionally with dolls for meetup type things with friends, however. Also if I'm actually looking for doll stuff, it can be easier to assess scale if the doll is with me. It's like taking a doll anywhere in public--it'll be fine as long as you use common sense like don't leave the doll unattended, make sure to keep hold of it especially if there are lots of people etc. If you take dolls out in public to meetups, there's really not any difference in going to a mall unless it's the Christmas season and there are huge crowds.

    17. :)
      Love the opinions!
I just, malls arent my things for dollehs!

    18. I do not have any concerns about taking them, but no interest in it either. I do not think they would get damaged, and certainly not stolen at my mall, it is a very safe mall. It would be tough to shop with a doll, and there is not much there for them - if we has a store in the mall that sold clothes or something for them it would be different. I do take them to the fabric and craft stores sometimes, so I can pick stuff than is a good size, and of course I take them to Denver Doll.

I do not hang out at the mall, as I have my own house. If it is your hang out then I do not see why not, I know teens like to hang out there.

I like SilhouettedStorm's comment about keeping your hands full, and pictures with Santa sounds fun too!

    19. I don't think I would take mine for various reasons. I get tired of carrying things pretty quickly, I hate having my hands full (so when shopping, I like to have as little as possible on hand before I go in and add shopping bags to the mix!), and my mall tends to be full of groups of kids that stand around looking at everybody - which makes me a little nervous even when I'm not carrying a $500 doll. So for me personally, malls just aren't the best place to take dolls.

    20. If there's a reason to take them - like trying something on, or looking for a specific item - then I would take them. The Daughter and I have taken our off-topic dolls lots of places, with no problems. In fact, that's one of the major reasons I was drawn to the Brownies in the first place! Portability.

Then again, when you're pushing 40, you really don't care what other people think.
