    1. Unless I was shopping for said doll and needed them for scale or attending a doll meet/photo op, those are the only reasons I can imagine to tale the dolls away from the safety of home. I am considering starting a doll meet and holding it at a bookstore coffee shop. I know, lots of danger, but it's easiest to find and park.

    2. I really dislike malls as a rule, and I only go to them if I need a specific something from a store that that happens to be in a mall or if I want to see a movie. In both cases, I don't really linger around after I'm done.

So, no, I wouldn't bring a doll to a mall. I don't even like bringing myself to the mall!

    3. I don't even take my dolls outside my house - except for the times when I go abroad for a while or something...
I would never take any of them to the mall with me, 'cause...
well, I can't see why I'd take her with me Oo

    4. I've only recently gotten my doll, but the thought has crossed my mind. Not really in the case of a mall, but I considered the park a two and a half blocks away from me. I still don't know how I feel about it yet.

One thing I've been waiting for, and you might want to consider this too, is a carrier bag for BJD's. They're 30 dollars and come fully equiped to help your doll with traveling. If you keep them in there, then no one should bother you too much. Sites like LUTS and Dream of Doll sell them--lots of other sites too.

I know I'd be nervous. From dropping him once he's out of the bag, to random little kids running a soccar ball into his face. I'd be a wreck. But I did want to go with a friend, like someone suggested, so that helps too. ^^;; But it's a goal of mine to take him out, so I'll definitely try one day~

    5. I've never once though of taking mine to the mall until now. I'm kinda curious about it, however, the mall in my hometown is NOT a good place to hang out alone.

The one near my apartment, totally! It's a fashion mall, so store owners might like Jaszi peeking at some dresses or accessories. ^^

    6. No. I haven't taken a doll out of my house yet due to embarrassment. Even if I wasn't
I wouldn't bother having to carry doll with me for hours while shopping.

    7. I haven't recieved my doll yet but when I do, I know I will tke him everywhere with me. Just cause for one, it's new, so I'mma want it around me at all times and secondly, my aunt is nosy and has grabby hands. So I'd fear she'd come home, see it and just start touching xD.
So, mall, bookstore, fabric store..anywhere and everywhere he'll be there.
I'm not embarassed about carrying around a doll in public and i could care less about the looks and stares and questions of other people. I live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. I dress in Sweet Lolita all the time and get looks. xD So I doubt a doll will make much of a difference x3

    8. well, eve before I had dollies, I would carry stuffed animals with me to the mall and stuff. My friend Michelle and I would do it all the time, we would actually quardinate sometimes...Kind of like I'll caryr this one and you'll carry this one, or like we'd carry a big one and a little one. I only brought my dolls tothe the mall a couple of times. I had my first msd and I wanted to see if the hello kitty keychain shoes fit. I got stared at alot and iwas all alone, so I was kind of self conscious. Then I kept dropping her wig, which made me embarassed for her lol...

but I only take them out and about downtown seattle for meetups and I get plenty of comments then, I really want to take my dollies out shopping more. Its just that they're ALOT more fragile than plushies haha

    9. Also, I go out in lolita garb and I'm a cosplayer...I'm so beyond used to getting stared and asked odd questions. It comes with the territory.

    10. I take mine to the mall with my friends and for awhile I was taking turns brinigng different ones to my internship though my internship this coming school year won't be as good to bring it with but I like bringing them to the mall last time me and my friend went was so that I could get my doll Juilian back from her and we went to Magiquest at the Mall of America and they all loved my little elf boy. So yah I would cause u know the more u show them the more u get people interested in the hobby.

    11. The mall isn't my doll's thing anyway so I don't take them there. When I do take them out it's got to be at a park or craft store which is basically photoshoots or supplies. Their personal style don't quite fit in with the mall surroundings anyway and I can't find a reason to bring them there.

    12. I took my MSD to the outlets with me once. The lady at the Armani store really liked her. Then again, she was probably just trying to sell my dad a suit XD; Which he did buy, so...

The mall nearest to where I live is probably smaller than most and it's somewhat of a social hotspot, since I live in a small town and there's not too many other place else for us to mingle. I like having my hands free, so I didn't bring any of my bigger dolls, but I intend on taking my Pukipuki there with me all the time when I complete him. It helps that I'm less paranoid about damaging him somehow... He just feels ready to travel 8D

    13. I don't think I would for the reason that quite a few others wouldn't--The mall is a germy place with grabby handed people, and the only real purpose of it is to shop.

    14. I haven't taken my dolls out in public yet. I mean, I haven't even had the courage yet to tell all of my family xD
But there's a dollymeet coming up pretty soon with people I know from another Forum, so then I will take them with me.
I guess that, as long as I have a safe place to put them away, I don't mind taking a doll with me to such a thing. But if I go to a
mall to shop for myself, I wouldn't take my doll with me. It'd only be in the way then...

    15. Only to meetups held in the mall. But I do bring them to cafes once in awhile to sit and chill in a corner.

    16. While I don't have a doll yet, I don't think I'd be afraid to take it to the mall. I'd just be very paranoid about the other people.

    17. I've taken both my girls out a lot. I've taken them to the mall several times. In fact, I just took Sanyu to the mall yesterday. I work there and I take her outside by the fountain to take pictures during my lunch break. But I've also just carried them on my arm when at the mall for fun. It's a good way for me to make sure things are in scale and it's just fun. I've played with hair clips that are in scale and priced things and answered many curious questions. A lot of people, even adults, are really interested and ask lots of questions. I've even taken Sanyu to a local flea market sort of thing and found swords in scale and bags that would make good doll bags, etc... And I took both of my girls with me to our local Matsuri Festival this year. They get soooo heavy after a while, even though they are only MSDs. Never really tried a meet up at a mall... that seems too much like we'd get in trouble for loitering and selling things... but personally with just me and maybe a couple of friends. When I get my little guy a body, I'll be taking that little puki almost everywhere with me simply because I can. Pondering making him a little pillow bag like the LittleFees get just so I can transport him safely when I can't dedicate a hand to him. My purse mangles things, so I don't want to put him in here. But I've never been made fun of with my dolls at the mall. I've never had anyone grab at them. I've never had people stare, either. I've had people ask honest questions with real interest. I've had people who didn't want to hold them even when I offered because they were 'too pretty' or they didn't want to 'hurt' them. I've had people dig out more accessories in the right scale for me without me asking. And I've never had a security guard ask me to stop taking pictures, since I take them outside.

    18. Well, even though I haven't gotten my doll yet (still saving), I don't think I'd take him to a mall. Mostly because people there are inconsiderate and let their kids do whatever. So I'm afraid of kids running up and snatching my doll, or someone bumping into me and my doll losing a finger.
The only reason I'd take him into a mall would be if a doll shop opened up and I needed to see if the clothes would fit him.
But there is a park downtown that's really nice. I'd surely take him there for pictures and everything, but I might be a bit embarrassed. I'm kind of shy when it comes to people in public giving my WTF looks... :sweat

    19. I've taken Miyoubi to lots of places ever since I got her even though I don't have a bag right for her size. I took her to the mall again just last Sunday. Of course, I was extremely careful w/ her and I admit a lot of people was looking (my father told me so) but I did not care. I think, except for meets, I will keep on taking mine to malls as long as they have gardens and such like Glorietta or MOA for picture taking.

    20. I don't take my collectables (or any other posessions) anywhere with me. Not unless it is a doll meet-up or something. Too much risk of theft or damage to the doll.
