1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dolls and Needle Felt Pets

Oct 30, 2017

    1. That poodle is amazing! Definitely a perfect companion for some lucky doll. I would love to get into felting but I have a very strong wool allergy and I'm afraid I'd break out in hives within the first few minutes.

    2. So very awesome! I would love a Pekingese.:)

    3. Aww, that's awful. Can you display purchased needle felting behind glass without experiencing a reaction?

    4. Think as long as I didn't personally handle it I'd be fine. Wondering if its just sheep wool I'm allergic to or all wool. Spent a while trying to research allergies and different wool types but I kept coming up with conflicting information so I kind of gave up.
I guess I could always invest in a lot of gloves :XD:

    5. I have a similar problem with wool clothing. Most sweaters itch me like crazy. Cashmere? Forget it! Can't go near the stuff! My skin is super sensitive to that sort of thing. Even certain rugs will bother me if I'm barefoot.

That being said, it probably depends on the exact type of wool fiber you're using for needle felting. My borzoi is made of soft, long hair....maybe it's mohair atop wool....I'm not sure. But I haven't had any sort of reaction handling it. If you like, next time I talk to my needle felter I can ask if she has any advice on the matter .

    6. That would be awesome thanks! I'd love to be able to find some alternatives so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
