1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dolls at Christmas?

Nov 11, 2010

    1. I plan on buying a doll for Xmas for myself. I know he won't get to me for the day itself because the wait period is 5-8 weeks. That's fine though. I've already spoken with the Hubby and while he'd love to be able to surprise me with a doll (or doll clothes/boots), he has no idea which dolls I want and he's knows I'm super particular about that. The doll isn't monstrously expensive, but it is around $300CAN and I've told him that I'm perfectly fine with that being the only thing I get for Xmas. He'll probably get me a few small things (books, blouses, earings, yarn, etc) just so I also have something to unwrap Xmas morning.

I was gifted with a doll last year around Xmas time by some very dear friends of mine. I didn't open him Xmas day as I thought he was something else. But even if I'd known, I think I'd have gone crazy waiting like 2 weeks to open a new doll.
