Dolls with the same hair color as you?

None of my dolls have the same hair as me. 3 of them wear mohair wigs and the other has white blonde hair. I am brunette XD

 

I dye my hair unnatural colors like blue/purple or bright red because I like those colors so it makes sense... For natural colors, I prefer colors like blonde or black though not like my own hair which is dark blonde/light brown.

 

Chiisa has the same color hair that I had when I was the age that her character is - blonde. Mine got browner over time, so technically all three of mine have a haircolor that I either have now or had in the past XD *cough*until I get Lyrik her permanent wig*cough*

 

I strongly prefer unnatural eyes and hair. I like to avoid blond hair and blue eyes usually (but then again I have seen some beautiful dolls like this) just because when I was kid it was Barbie Barbie Barbie and I'm over it, haha. I am a brunette with brown eyes myself so maybe its just sour grapes :P

 

My hair is as close to white as it can be, and my two dolls have dark blonde and brown-black hair.
The platinum blonde life just isn't for either of them.

 

My own hair is brown and I'm not too fond of it so I wouldn't want my dolls to have hair that looks like mine.
I don't really have a preference of hair/eye color, I just go with what I think works for my boys. I guess the most unnatural is my brown skin Claus who has very light blonde hair, but I've always loved that combo of tan/darker skin and lighter hair. I do have a dark brown dreadlock wig for an incoming boy so I guess that's as close as I'll get to my hair..

 

My hair is brown, dyed blonde. I have two blondes (different shades), three redheads, two with silver hair (when I find that elusive second silver wig), one with white hair, two with black and white hair, and one with fire-engine red hair. Planned ones include one with brown hair and one with brown-black as the most imminent plans, and a number of other colors to come. I don't really think about my own hair color in relation to my dolls at all, and apparently have been going for a pretty nice variety. Never really thought about it before!

 

I would LOVE to find a doll wig with my hair colour, but it's so hard to! I'm a natural redhead, and the wigs are usually too orange or too brown But if I find one, I'll be sure to buy it!

 

I don't think of that at all, I more consider what will suit the character. Having said that most of my dolls have brown hair, but I guess so do most of my friends. It's the most common color I guess.

 

This is actually of a funny topic -in my opinion- I don't think I ever really thought about that at all. I have brown/auburn hair but only two of my dolls have hair that are any variation of red and neither comes close to my natural color... if anything I have been somehow overran with blondes lately and am desperately trying to balance that.

 

I have always had an obsession with long white hair so for many years I bleached the hell out of my own to get it as pale as possible. Now four of my boys have silver/white hair. One doll I'm waiting on will have long copper hair like me and the rest are a mix of black, blonde and brown.

 

Man, I dunno! I was about to say it didn't matter, but then I realized I only have four brown haired dolls right now, two of which are more dirty blonde, another of which is so dark it's almost black, so really only ONE with BROWN hair. I'm a brunette, but I have a kinda ombre thing going on because my hair bleaches in the sun REALLY fast... But let's see, I have like... fifteen dolls including the ones I actually have and the ones that are just on my wishlist right now, and going over them in my head... Brown, dirty blonde, beige-blonde, super-dark brown x2, blonde, natural red, dyed yellow, black x2,turquoise, platinum blonde, strawberry blonde, unknown (haven't decided yet), and bald.

One brown haired doll. One. (I HAVE avoided giving most of my dolls blue eyes, even though I consider my eyes to be grey. I dunno, I just felt like if I gave my dolls blue eyes, someone would think I wanted them to look like me.... But I never THOUGHT about it with hair!)

 

I tend to have more brunettes (browns of all shades, and black) than anything but I find that is just a personal preference when it comes to my boys. I like natural hair colours, I find them much more appealing personally but then again one of my girls (who may or may not stick around) has very unnatural hair.

I hope to bring a blonde boy home one day if I can figure out a character for him. (:

nope. I have a boring hair color of light brown and don't find it attractive at all, so, no plans for such color on my dolls at the moment

 

Yeah actually I think that I do do this, not just with dolls but with all my original characters, shelled or otherwise. I have a lot of characters with black hair as, despite being Caucasian I have very very dark hair myself, in fact I've put black hair dye on my hair in the past when I was getting rid of the red I had in it and when my roots came through they were darker than the dye. Also, I have a character whose hair definitely changes with mine, she's had green, pink, purple, red, blonde, blue and black, red and white XD turquoise, everything under the sun, changing as I changed my own hair, which is strange because in terms of the rest of her appearance and personality she's not like me at all XD

 

I've noticed recently that a couple of my dolls have hair colors very close to mine At first I thought "okay, this is a bit weird~" but seeing as I stick to natural colors I don't feel that there are that many options to choose from, and I must have just gravitated to a color that I'm used to styling on myself. I'm trying to think of what different shades would look good on them as well so there's some variety.

 

Not the exact same hair color as mine, but both characters I plan to turn into dolls have brown hair. One flips between brown and white, but the other has a tendency to dye her hair all kinds of different colors.

 

My hair is black and my incoming Mikhaila will have black hair as well as the DZ Abby that I hope to order for my birthday next month.
My current doll has a light blue mixed with blonde wig,I figured that since she was a total blank slate and not a pre existing character of mine then it would be cool to give her "fun" colored hair.
As for the Minifee that I hope to order next year,he will be a pre existing character as well and his wig will be light blonde.

Though two of my dolls will have black hair,we'll have pretty much nothing else in common,on the other hand I only collect porcelain dolls that have a very similar look to my own.

 

My own hair is L'Oreal Bright Copper & yes I do tend to prefer red wigs on my dolls. I've always had this attraction to red hair especially with green eyes & while I personally have that combo now I like to play it up on my dolls. But don't get me wrong, I have lots of blonds, brunettes & fantasy wigs which I change around fairly often.

 

I have natural dark brown hair and I do have a doll that has medium brown hair, but it's not even close to the same color. I love my hair color but it has to work for the doll, too. I keep trying for a dark brown haired doll but it hasn't worked out yet.
