Dolls You Rarely See/Think Deserve More Love

I haven't seen much of him (except mine) but he is gorgeous. His company photos aren't that great (in my opinion) but he definitely is beautiful.

 

Basically all my dolls are quite neglected by the community, besides my minifee maybe.

X2 Elizabeth isn't even produced anymore, I'd love to see another but I doubt it'll happen. Then my Dollstol Maru, he isn't even limited and I really don't know why no one else got him.
Felix doll Brownies are also quite rare, I tried doing a search but I only found a couple of sales thread in the marketplace and some old news.

 

I used to have three Felixdoll Brownies myself, and I bought two more as gifts for my sister and my partner at-the-time. They were selling fullsets for $60-$80, and I couldn't help myself. I received all of my orders shortly before the big meltdown over there- When they found out that someone in the company had embezzled the monies for the sets and nobody at the factory was paid To this day I don't have all the details, but that situation left a lot of people without the orders they paid for and sort of put a permanent damper on the name. The company Felixdoll also went out of business completely, the models were picked up by another company later on (can't remember by who) and they produced some new ones and reproduced some of the old sets/molds, but at a much higher price that didn't catch on with as many people, and were less trusted because of the previous incident. I personally sold all my Brownies at a later time, so it would feel funny to post pictures now of a doll who has moved to a new home. n__n; /NEEDLESSLY LONG EXPLANATION

 

A few of my dolls are quite scarce on here... Which is a shame because they are some of my favourites and I always love to see other's interpretations...
Luts Odin - Know of only 3 others in existence despite him being available for over four years now(as my very first doll this saddens me greatly)
Soom Shoshon - See more photos of him on DA than here, and most the photos on here are of For Sale threads
Souldoll Hunoi - Only know of one other person who was going to order him(can't remember if they actually did)
Souldoll Vito Elan - See a ton of Lesters and Sharics, maybe one other Elan
Dollzone Raphael - Doesn't seem to be very popular at all, poor boy

Also Soom Labas, I was hoping to see owners' pics of him after he started shipping but he has maybe 14 threads total, including his release thread...

 

Any of the Island Dolls. The sculpts are gorgeous and yet I rarely see any of them.

 

I've ordered an Elan he seems... somewhat more noble than Lester and less androgynous than Sharics. The world needs more Vito!

 

I'm always surprised by the lack of loongsoul doll pictures. You think they'd be as popular as soom's fantasy dolls but you hardly ever see thief larger fantasy sculpts in owner pictures. I though maybe their price was a bit steep but it's not that much higher than soom or iplehouse so I dunno.

 

Souldoll Gana needs more love! I haven't been able to find that many pictures of her on here.
Also, withdoll makes some really beautiful scuplts, but they don't seem to be that popular or well-known..?

 

Doll-love! Their faces are really great, and if you don't like the bodies, hybrid them! They are so pretty, I dont see what's not to like! Also, as soenatte said, anything doll-leaves I think there are people that don't like their face sculpts but have you seen their SD sized dolls? ❤️

 

I just received my first BJD...she's Island Doll Jessie...renamed Oona. I got her in the Island skin and the default face up, along with some extra gesture hands. Although, I did buy her a different wig and eyes. I love her SO much and plan to get my next doll from Island Doll as well.

 

ImplDoll gets so much shit for not being 'creative' (have you actually looked at their dolls????), but my Avery is absolutely unique in my book. He's got the most stunning ear and face sculpt and I fell in love with his playful, almost feline smile.

 

I totally agree about Souldoll Gana. She's my grail doll in sandy brown. :') Hopefully I will purchase her soon and post some pics. When I first discovered her sculpt many, many moons ago, I found ONE owner pic and it happened to be a FS posting. I've been seeing a lot more owner pictures of her recently, though. Thank goodness she is now being shown off a bit more!

 

Luts SDF Bory, he's such a gorgeous boy, and the sales pictures on the Luts site are freaking amazing!
But when I was looking to buy my boy I couldn't find any owner pictures anywhere, especially in tan! surely there must be other people out there besides me who fell in love with his perfect little nose.

There are a ton of Volks dolls around, and quite a few of those are FCS sculpts... But F-43s are rarer than hen's teeth. Mine seems to be the only one among the DoA crowd at the moment. There was one other DoA user who previously owned one, but has since sold it. (Curiously, hers was, like mine, a guy... *All* of the others I've come across pictures of elsewhere have been girls. )

 

The Elfdoll Rainy Yuan She's so gorgeous and realistic and unfortunately, I missed my chance to buy her. The site is now down and it's pissing me off

 

Newer sculpted RSdolls, a few Xagadolls, Doll Family H - Julian, Dika Doll - Poem. That's all I can think of for now.

When he was released I was really interested in it, but was too short for.

Sadly, never seen an owner picture anywhere. The Leeke face-up was too shiny, but it looks it has so much great potential.

 

Ringdoll DiYue /:

True story here, the DiYue I've managed to find are owned by asian collectors 85% of the time. I've only seen 2 in western countries which saddens me because he was released with Misha Style-B and everyone ordered him. Finding owner pictures of the doll was almost impossible, but I managed to find 2 doll collectors who own him here on DoA, only one wasn't Asian. I've gone as far as using Weibo to find owner pictures of him, and on the other side, most of the few I found have default faceup, in short, only 3 of the Asian DiYue I've found do not have a default faceup, and that's me talking about almost two years after I first saw him when he was released.

It's kind of sad because Ringdoll always gets tons of attention, specially the 70cm ones. Think about when Lucifer and Norman 2.0 were released, Boyce and even Dracula. Let's not even talk about Ringdoll Sol and Misha. And their Kou/Little Red Ridding Hood mold. These are dolls we see everywhere. People went bananas when Pan was discontinued, a bunch of people own Crystal (Amethyst didn't get so much love, though) but even Daniel was easier to find for me than DiYue was.
