Dolls you'll never have....

Same, I love the Adonis sculpt too. Maybe one day will see a head being sold at a reasonable price

For me I have realised getting a SD size merman or dragon, such as the Akheilos or the DZ dragon which is taller than me is a no go.

I now know that it is too much resin for me to handle also couldn't take it out of the house for shoots or meets as they are just Too Big. I have a DV serpent coming sometime this year and hoping I will be OK with that one (a more hefty 1/4 size which is 134cm long).

Also a larger 1/3 bjd horse like Domiya's Nightmare. Always a grail but I just don't have the room to display and wouldn't be able to take it anywhere for amazing photos with respective bjds... imagine taking those on bus or train, would need to use my airport travel luggage just too cumbersome and so much kudos to those who manage that.

 

The Volks Rose of Versailles doll is so beautiful, she costs so much though (rightfully so, I think she’s 100% worth it), and I don’t think I’d be able to drop like €2300 on a doll.

Like many, I think I've accepted that Volks Mana Sama is out of my reach at 31 units in the world! But a beautiful doll to admire!

Piposland Charlotte Blossom In pink. I have liked pipos dolls for a long time, but wanted an MSD sized, not SD or Yosd sized cat. saw her too late.. I still looking at her photos. maybe one day .

there is others, bot that often because they are too big, not selling just the head or just out of my price range .

 

The Junichi Nakahara Volks dolls for sure. I love them so much that I wouldn't even want to bother doing anything with them other than just displaying them as-is, which I can justify for something like a <$300 collectible fashion doll, but I actually want to do something with my BJDs, you know? I've had quite a few opportunities to buy the fullsets, but I've been good about asking myself if I would actually play with this doll or if I'm about to buy a giant, expensive figure.

 

Any Doll Soom, especially the limited editions (during the year of Soom Beryl). I was (and still am) so infatuated with them since the early years of my BJD hobby but their price range was too high

 

Crobi is an old company and I'm kind of scared that they will discontinue their bussiness soon 'cause it's been a very long time since their last release.... I'm really worried that I couldn't save up money on time to get my dream doll straight from the company.

Also, any dolls from the DoD company. The legend. I think I'll never encounter one, and even if I could, I'll never be able to afford even a head...

 

Soom Io, CP El, venitu... Just (almost?) impossible sadly

 

All of those pretty and handsome Switch boysAll of them are so so lovely! But big and expensiveI honestly wouldn't even know what to do with them. But evertime I see them on my feed I just can't look away. And maybe the biggest problem: how could I choose just one...

 

It’s the masc presenting dolls that never last around here. I really like them but no matter what I do they just don’t fit in. I’ll continue to admire them online or through other owners but they’re just not for me. My dolls are all femme preventing.

 

Actually also super beautiful but wayyy too expensive and rare to even dream about: Dollzone's Beatrice and Darlene. The 130cm version, both limited to 6 each as far as I knowThey are so cute and enchanted! I bet it would almost be like living with a "living" doll (or being one yourself?) since they are so gigantic. Maybe a tad bit creepy, but I can't help but love them

 

Not a holy grail doll or anything but, Crobi Lance.

The website refuses to work for me. I've tried several times. It tells me I can't make an account with that email, because I have one. Only I've never been able to make the account. When I go to log in with the email it tells me, I don't have an account with that email, please make an account. It just loops.

I always wanted him because of that game "Nameless ~ The One Thing You Must Recall ~" Crobi Lance was my favourite character in that game. I thought it would be nice to have him. The second hand market is either too pricy or too iffy. I would want him directly from the company, but I can't order from it.

 

The Volks SD16 Diamond…seriously the most beautiful face sculpt I’ve ever seen on a doll, but I just can’t imagine her ever being in my budget. Also, I feel like an SD would be too big for me

 

Since I joined the hobby I've wished several times for a smiling doll. I've seen many pass me by, but I never felt like getting any. Always went for the gloomy ones instead. So I've made peace with it. All my crew's cheer now depends on a wee 1/4 clown...

 

Probably a Dust of Dolls doll. I love those soft pear shaped bodies so much, but I can't justify budgeting for it, especially since for my own preferences I would probably want to swap for a more mature looking head.
