yuan_mdx: Where did you see that there were going to be two heads available? I have looked on Dollshe's site and can't seem to find the pics. Thanks!

 

That's good to know. I considered getting a Dollshe body, but was working on another doll when the second sale period was on. Considering how long the first two sales periods went on for, I thought I'd have plenty of time to order the body during the third period. ... and then that one was over before I even noticed it had started

When I read the former post that stated that Dollshe plans to release Dolls in the old slender style, I thought that they might be working on a new body for that line too. Now it sounds as if it might be new head sculpts and old bodies for a while.

 

They don't show pictures. If you look on his order page....check under makeup option....they show for OE head, SA head or both.

 

We had been wondering if Mr Sly Eyes in the teaser shots was OE or SA. Could be either, really.

 

No chance to get him. Job interview yesterday was just...blah. Too bad if you live in the middle of nowhere...

And I hope I'll have enough time to put some money aside in order to get him. He will be quite a counterpart to my Iplehouse Arvid. ^^

 

I can tell that dollshe made a really realistic mold, but I prefere the older ones. They had a particular spirit that Was lost in David.

 

I'd rather say that the sculptor's inspiration passion and spirit truly lives through David, he's a piece of art, Mr Dollshe used his skills (can I say hidden skills..never expected anything like David). But yeah many opinions and tastes. Never truly liked their old boys though I had Saint and sold quite fast away. But it's a shame if they will be discontinued :/ Anyway, I'm stalking here more D pics too *.* and sale info.

 

While I think David is gorgeous, I am thrilled to hear the older body will be back with some great new sculpts. perhaps a brother of Bermann, one can dream : )

 

I think that Dollshe probably has been looking at the recent market in dolls and their seems a growing interest in more realistic dolls. I applaud their wonderful sculpt and I am putting aside money for him. I have both realistic looking, normal and unrealistic looking dolls and love them all! I am sure that Dollshe is not done with their other popular sculpts but wish to test the market on something different. Please give them a chance to explore other artistic endeavors, HS as I am sure they will not abandoned their former sculpts or you. Sometimes it can be exciting to see a company explore something different.

Well, I started this post and then took a lunch break..came back and posted and"Helter Skelter" post is gone?

I hear the sound of people waiting expectantly for the "sold out" tag on the Dollshe site to be removed....

 

I'm one of them....LOL.

 

Sound? Like.. very deep breathing and heart pounding loud..

 

I understand that many are disappointed with this volta Dollshe has done. I'd also would rather expect them to continue both lines - the old one and the new one - together but I can not say I feel offended by their present acomplishment. On a contrary: I'm thrilled and charmed beyond my expectations. It's the first male SD ABJD doll ever that made me consider it as pure perfection. Really, there is nothing regarding it's estetics I could point my finger at and say: bah, this should have been done better. What knocked me over...? Well, most likely the sculpt detailed beyond anything that was previously seen in the BJD community, those fingers and toes, also the head itself, general proportions and all of those little but most important things like wrinkles on the fingers "skin", vains or nostrils. I'm most grateful for him.

 

I have a Hound and two Saints (one was new) and thought I was done. But no sooner did the final ordering period for the classic versions end than this totally new guy appears. If he's as popular as the previous versions were I'd better be prepared for another 11-month wait.

 

Completely agree! "most grateful" indeed that the artist took the time and effort to create such a work of art. For some weird reason this is like a reverse of the Leeel release where everyone was howling at the price and lack of detail. A lot of people complained that for such a price and all that resin, Leeel could have created a masterpiece, instead, all they really did was pack on more leg length. Well...this is kind of the masterpiece that no one was expecting.

 

I am beginning to think that we will have to wait until the new website is ready. And devinyl ... that "now we wait another eleven months" was EXACTLY what I was thinking. But will I do it? For this guy, you bet I will!
