1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dollshe 28M discussion

    1. Hmmm, seriously not loving the faceup, or the freckles.

I wonder why they didn't show him in the different resins. That would have been nice to have.
Someone else mentioned that the head looked too narrow for the body, I have to agree. The whole doll is beautifully sculpted, and I can't wait to see owner photos.

Added: anapal, I totally agree with your two points.

    2. Meep. Why the red lips? I went kind of "uh?" when I saw those. Still, I think he's a gorgeous sculpt and, as others have pointed out, it's just a face-up. The black-and-white pictures are quite lovely, I think. And does he really come with a texture like that? That's wonderful... I'm also in awe of the closed-eyed sculpt with its frown. In short, I'm a bit put off by the garish colours in the face-up, but still full of admiration for the sculpt. Man, those cheekbones... He's not my Arthur, clearly, but someone stunning nevertheless.

    3. I quite like the black and white version of the face-up and in the profile pic he's just gorgeous imo. Comparing colour and black and white versions with the blank head I got an idea of how versatile this sculpt might be. And that's what DollShe is all about, isn't it?
I am looking forward to see what people do with their dolls!

    4. The faceup was off putting for me too. Where is all the sexyness, the smirk, the self contentment ? Quite disappointed. I already had the money ready for this guy, but it will wait till I can see him with a more appealing faceup, or better nude closeup shots.

    5. The faceup blew it for me, I would rather have him naked all the time......well maybe a long wig and a towel wrapped around him;)

    6. I wish to thank everyone for all their help in gathering the nude photos of David. I think I have them all in my folder now - :thumbup:thumbup

    7. Huh, so I saw the face-up pictures just now, thought he had potential under the face-up-- and now that I've seen him blank, I'm so much more impressed. The neck still seems a bit too thick for his thin face, though.

All that said, I'll give the Dollshe artist credit-- there's a certain, I don't know, Weimar Republic style thing going on with him that is both interesting and creepy. Also, his freckles look Amaaazing.

    8. Oh come now. We are all capable of seeing the sculpt beneath the faceup. The faceup is what it is. Hopefully David will come without a faceup (I wrote that I wanted him without faceup in my notes). The faceup does not in any way change the fact that the sculpt is magnificent and unlike anything else presently available in the market.

That's OK though -- if there isn't a massive race to order David, maybe those of us who have already done so will have a chance of getting him a wee bit earlier -- say June of next year. ;-p

    9. The only option I'm seeing is resin color, nothing about faceup etc.

Must be some glitch. Waiting until they fix stuff then will order....most likely without faceup.

    10. The faceup, for me, is a total turn-off... Magnificent freckles but red lips?? Oh my.

I hope someday I can do this boy's faceup, making him into "my version" of handsome~~ :XD:

Btw, I am still new to Dollshe, but I assume with $750 we will directly get two heads? The open-eyed and the close-eyed one?

    11. We don't know. Several people are asking on the Dollshe Q&A board about exactly what we get.

    12. I love those freckles very much and the body blushing is amazing , look at those veins! amazing works!!
but the red color and the face up is not there, sadly:(

wonder why they put down the faceup option, hope they decided to redo or make another face up version, coz the sculpt is still very marvelous and the faceup need to do it's justice

    13. Lots of pale-skinned redheads, male and female, have red lips, so there's nothing strange about that.

Personally red hair and freckles aren't my cup of tea (being a pale skinned strawberry blonde myself) but that doesn't put me off the sculpt. It's clear David K. will be stunning no matter what his coloration. Glad Dollshe will be taking layaway. $750 is reasonable given other chunks of resin in David's size, but given my dolly list a while to pay him off will be a help!

    14. Julie M & sakuraharu I totally agree. Even under this faceup (which is not as horrible as the previous official ones were on the other boys, but totally not a style most people would want *lol ) and horrible wig style, his facial features are at least more visible now and it's clear he's a gorgeous and unique mold. I'll have to put off buying him for a bit (now that there are no events or anything for his release and $750 + the shipping is a bite a bit too big from my wallet at the moment) but he's totally on the top of my list. :D

Also... am I the only one who doesn't like the sleeping face and plus hands? They seem a bit off for me. ;>>

    15. I totally agree with you. That isn't sleeping face, it is frowning face. I don't like it.
I would like to see really sleeping face - all peaceful and relaxed. The beautiful one.

Hands and feet are large, yes, too large.

    16. So I asked Dollshe a few questions and here is the reply:

The pre-order package is a full package including OE head, SA head, body, two types of smoking hands, feet, aluminum connector, and extra elastic. The clothes, eyes, and wig in the photos posted on our website are not included in the package. We will not be taking orders for optional faceup service for David Kuncci for the time being. The existing black-and-white photos are back on our website. The pre-order period is from August 12 - September 12. We\'re not planning a special event. We will soon be posting detailed information about ordering David Kuncci. Please let us know should you have further questions or concerns.

    17. Mmmm...............just wonder is '$750' including face-up (as shown in photo) or not?
ps. it would be good if not.

    18. Think that the order is limited only now and no more?

    19. hojo: As stated in the post I made Dollshe is not going to be taking orders for optional faceup for the time being.

    20. Another answer from Dollshe on Q&A board:

"Makeup and body blushing are not included in the price. We will not be taking orders for optional faceup service for David Kuncci for the time being, and we will no longer be offering the original model restoration aesthe or body blushing service."

So price is $750.00 + shipping (more for pale tan, tan, ebony).
      Nude doll.
