Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases.     1. Ah so he will come blank after all.. Well that's good news I suppose then whoever orders him can just send him off to their favorite faceup
      artist for the look they want.. Makes sense.. I am not a huge fan of their faceups anyway though they did a fabulous one on my Dubai but more then likely because I sent them photos specifying what I wanted. and they for once did just that.

      Dollshe have advised me that the basic price includes two heads and two sets of hands but not the eyes. I love the sleeping head. I have a new Bernard with two face plates and they were also in the base order.

    3. Well I jumped in and ordered him the moment he was released. I will do my own face up as it is a lovely sculpt and one needs to go lighter on the lips as they seem rather large without making it so obvious.

      I still have my first BJD, a Hound and also a new Bernard. Both pose so well and I think David will also hold his own. He should be able to share clothes and shoes with my Iplehouse EIDs, Soom Idealian and Bishonen House dolls.

    6. Well, I assume, that the advantage of the preorder is you receive the doll, both heads and both hand sets in a price of a doll (head + body). I imagine later all those parts will be still available, although separately, just as it is in Ausley case.

      BTW: I've just made my order, too :) Now, let me use Gollum's words: Patience my love, patience... ;)

    8. i am 100% wit you the same i was thinking when i first so this new dollshe craft doll...i was very disapointed...it is a very amazing doll but i love much better they original dolls. the old ones this one is just like any other doll......

    9. It seems like 50/50 pro and con about this new guy. I'm very fond of my old Dollshes (Hound was my first BJD) but I like the naturalism of the new fellow. I hope to bring him home eventually.
      Has anyone ordered him in a darker resin? Someone a few posts back thought he'd be gorgeous in gray, which would be beautiful. I know Dollshe has comparison photos of the DSAM 28? in the six resin colors but I'd really like to see photos of David in different resin colors, too. What characters could he become? I don't know if I can wait for owner's pictures!

    11. Anyone checked out his new pics? They changed his outfit and did something different with his faceup; gave him bushier eyebrows and bags under his eyes. Oh...and they gave him orange lips instead of red. I still think they got carried away with the lip gloss effect, though.
      I was wondering why they didn't give him a different expression and realized that his brows are permanently like that. He's stuck with that look. Maybe I should just go with the body instead.

      Anyways...it's been eating me ever since the topic was brought up but....

    13. I ordered him yesterday before seeing the new photos. I wish they offered the face up - I'd order it just for those killer eyebrows! That wig is great, too, and Dollshe's not offering that either. So where do we get it? and the clothes and shoes? Oh well, guess he'll sit around nude and bald. There are worse things in life. ;)

    14. devinyl don't worry...his body is in between an Iplehouse Superhero and Model. so if you get Superhero sized clothing or Soom ID clothing, they should fit.

    15. The new face? Oh, well... Pattinson, again? David looks like him him even more now. And he seems like he's about to cry at one of the pics :sweat
      I think they'd better stop trying to give him a face up. The sculpt is gorgeous and very impressive without one! And their attempts look somehow pitiful to me(
      I'm also happy he's not going to work out as the character I have cause than I'd be doomed *_*

      As for the clothing... Freedom teller ruuuuuuuuules! :lol:

I like the new face-up marginally better (although, wow, those eyebrows . . . um), but I still am looking forward to seeing owner pics and face-ups done by someone who doesn't use such an extremely over-painted look -- I think he'd look amazing if done by a minimalist, or someone who is fabulous at painting Dollshe boys, and can do great brows that are dramatic but not so . . . strange.

      I'm glad they finally posted a profile photo -- I wish they'd post close-ups of the unpainted face!

    17. Oh for heaven's sake. Give one of those heads to Cheryl to paint or something. Whoever they have got doing the paintwork is doing him absolutely no favours. He looks even more like a ventriloquist's dummy, poor chap. At least that wig doesn't drown his poor lilttle head. And those clothes suit him far better. There is something about a suit on a muscular man that makes him look like a bouncer.

      I had a tinker in PS with the previous black and whte photo, just to see if that face could be salvaged with the right faceup. With paler lips, the lower face is pretty much irresistable. However, the eyes continue to annoy me. They are too high, too long and too down turned. Some of that could be softened with a careful faceup, but I have concluded that he is not for me after all, which is not a problem. I have a large enough wishlist as it is.
